We bought a new toliet and had roto rooter come out for an estimate. They quoted us close to 400 for install one piece toliet and removal of old toliet. Getting anyone to help us in King City is difficult, so we paid for the install. Gerardo Garcia was our technician, he is professional, on time, good communication and great work. I am happy with the outcome.

Memorial Day 2023--our toilet in the master bathroom clogged and we had to have it fixed that day. Called RotoRooter and they were able to send someone out that day within couple of hours. Gerardo Garcia was the technician and he did a great job. Totally professional and very nice.

First the good. They were responsive, polite over the phone, and had a guy to look at the project within 30 minutes. The technician was very professional as well and assessed the problem quickly (free estimate).
Now the not so good. When we discovered the leak, I was thankful it wasn't under the sidewalk or further up the water line. It was just a foot from the meter and at the pvc elbow. When I saw that, I was willing to just have him fix it and I could go to work. He said wait for a price quote, and we can fix once you approve. That was kind of strange to me because it was likely about a 2 hour job. What could the price be? Well after 5 minutes he presented me with a quote of $2,150. Materials would just be a standard pvc elbow.
I ended up going with my usual plumber who originally didn't think he could fit it in today. He's really good, but kinda on the expensive side as he normally does the work himself and has been a master plumber for 20+ years. His bill will be around $500. Assuming he thinks it will take about 2-3 hours at $150 per hour.
Again, the promptness and professionalism of Roto Rooter was fantastic. The price however was incredibly outrageous. Guess the franchise fee must be high.

Very disappointed. The technician showed up, had us a sign a quote for $375 to run the snake - which has worked in the past. He ran the snake for a short while, had us run the water again, no improvement. He ran the snake for a few more minutes then said the snake couldn't clear it and wanted to sell a $2,500 service to scope and hydro clean. He said he could keep running the snake but at a charge of $375 an hour. We had questioned if he had seriously tried to clear the drain with the snake and felt the whole process was designed to fail and to sell us the more expensive service. I would not recommend hiring ROTO ROUTER TO RUN A SNAKE!
