Very unhappy with this company. They made a lot of grand promises but ultimately they left me with a big mess, washed their hands of me while promising I was in good hands, then sent an intent to lien before I'd even seen the bill. Note that if you have a leak they will see it as a cash cow for them and they will send a preliminary notice on any estimated bills over 3,000. I suspect they grossly overstate the damage and this was suggested by several contractors who looked at the repairs. I wish I'd gone with a different company and I will next time.

Substandard installation and not in accordance to the code. They did my water heater tank. I called them to fix it but they said not part of warranty. But they clearly state that any necessary attachment is included as per contract.. their work, labor, material is expensive than normal.. but once you complain they won't entertain. It's like stealing the our hard earned money money..I hope someone from their after sale can assist

Raymond from roto-rooter came to fix the main clog that was causing water to flow out of the downstairs toilet on a Saturday night when no other plumber was able to come all day. He was so professional, honest, kind and hard-working. We were very grateful that we were able to get the problem resolved to enjoy the other half of our weekend. Thank you so much, Raymond!

The toilet and shower in master bath backed up so I called Roto-Rooter...big mistake. On the website it indicates they are right down the street from my house in Huntington Beach, however, when you call the number it goes to a call center and the guy comes out from Corona...a good distance away. Upon arrival he quoted me $467.00 and I said ""no thanks""...so he dropped the price to $300.00 and assured me that was the cheapest price I would pay and also that their drain cleaning snake machine is the longest anyone has to offer at 140 feet. They found rocks in the pipe and said it would cost about $35,000 to remove the rock in only that one section. Yes, I said $35,000, NOT $3500. Lies after lies....not to be trusted. I called a reliable plumber recommended to me from a neighbor who told me they would have charged $175.00 for the clean out and their machine went to 200 feet.

Amazing prompt service, the quality of service is phenomenal and customer service is by far the best I've had. I have used other plumbers for my house needs and not one was as efficient and thorough as Sakari. He went above and beyond to explain the main problem and offered us the solutions, although I am no plumber he made sure he explained everything as easy as possible so I can understand. Very attentive to detail and can determine the problem to make sure the job is fixed adequately. If you are looking for an A+ service Sakari is your go to. Will continue to use his services for all our families and friends needs.

How to put this so people will understand? I had a clog in my main drain and per there camera it was between the outside wall and the clean out about four feet apart. And per the superviser three feet deep. Keep in mind they have already been out twice to try and clear the drain at a cost of a little under 800.00 I did have to have the toilet taking off and put back on. They quoted me a price of 5,500.00 dollars to repair. I told them I was going to shop around. I called a different local plumbing company. Tech came out
I showed him the location of the blockage as per Rottos Superviser. At the earliest time once all the local agencies had been notified it was dug down and he fixed the issue for 1,150.00
(IF YOUR RICH) AND LIKE THROWING AWAY MONEY CALL THEM OUT DONT COMPAIR PRICING. LET THEM DO THE WORK LET THEM HIT YOU WITH THE ADD ON COST ONCE THERE ON SITE.
Companies like this are the reason all the little companies are taking over.
The only reason Roto Rooter is in business is because we all grew up with the name so we call. Mabe at one time they were strait shooters but that time is passed. Do they do good work? Probably so on the average. Its my opinion and only my opinion that all the good reviews are coming from Roto Rooter employees or their family's. They negative reviews are spot on what I experienced. And come on people is a clogged drain not a painting.

My mother-in-law is an elderly and infirm widow. She was alone at her house and called this Roto-Rooter since it was the only plumber she knew the name of. One of the toilets was having trouble fully flushing.

They told her she needed to replace a flange on one toilet and to remove and reseat her second toilet (the reason being according to them, whoever installed the toilet used ""caulking"" which was the source of her problems).

Today I went over there to check out her medications, take out the trash, do the basics that are required for her weekly and she told me about the plumber and showed me the detailed invoices. To replace the flange she was charged $100 in parts and $3,800 in labor (it took 3 hours). For the reseating of the second toilet, another person came (the same day) and charged her $10 in parts and $910 in labor which took an hour. Shame on this place. There was $110 in parts and $4,710 in labor for a total of 4 man hours (ALMOST $1,200 PER HOUR IN LABOR CHARGES).

This is HORRIFIC ELDER ABUSE. They saw a poor, ill, elderly widow and fleeced her out of nearly five thousand dollars. SHAME!

Before Justin got to my home, I had a very unprofessional plumbing company ""Rooter Ranger"" come out earlier in the day that told me that they could not do the job of taking off our toilet and snaking our clog without replacing different parts first, plus wanting to tack on an additional $150.00 for simply sealing the base of the toilet. When I didn't want to pay the extra cost, the plumber said he would need to have his supervisor come to the site before he continued. The next thing I knew he got in his van and walked off the jobsite never coming back, and a supervisor never showed up as well leaving me stranded with a backed-up sewer line, two clogged toilets and a bathtub filling up if we flushed! When Justin came to our home was very professional. He did the job that the other plumber said he couldn't do and without tacking on other cost. He was in and out in a timely manner, very pleasant, and will now be our go to man when needed. ""

I have updated to 4 stars. I received a call from Carlos @ Roto Rooter the day after my review and he apologized and made this situation right by honoring my coupon, which is absolutely appreciated. The technicians did a good job while here and it was done in a timely manner, my issue was over their coupon not being honored when it was clearly valid. Thank you Carlos for rectifying this concern.
