From start to finish Roto-Rooter of Santa Rosa did a great job for us. The office staff was upbeat and helpful. They informed us promptly when schedule changes came up. The Service Technicians, Ernesto and Jose, were on time, polite and worked quickly to successfully complete the job. The price charged was the same as quoted and fair for the work preformed.

Roto Rooter has come to my aid more than once. For that time I threw green beans down the drain,
(ya, don't do that!!!!)
They came on a dimes notice. Immediately working the hour. I was very impressed they came so promptly to my aid, relieving me of my clogged drain. They were very reasonable in price and it wasn't an arm and a leg.

The other time I've used their services was in my work environment. We were having a plumber from another business come out multiple times to locate a clog he could never find. In fact he couldn't find it 3 times.
I took it upon myself to call Roto Rooter to get to the ""Root"" of the problem.

Roto Eliter again , came to my aid lightening fast and lickity split. After 3 hours of snaking, Roto Rooter pulled out a 12+ inch clog of gunk that wasn't found by the other plumber from another company the 3 other times he cane out.

Point being, Roto Rooter will always be my go to for all of my plumbing needs.
LESSON LEARNED......
DO NOT THROW GREEN BEANS DOWN THE DRAIN.

Boy I tell ya, I don't leave many reviews; but Roto Rooter and their serviceman Jeremy deserve five starts. Jeremy arrived right on time at 3:00PM, got right to work, cleared narrow old 1 1/2"" drain line, 2"" drain line, and 4"" sewer line, replaced a leaking pea trap under laundry sink (had the parts on the truck $12!), and was on his way. Who was that masked man! Thank you Jeremy and Roto Rooter! Tom L (General Contractor).

How can I begin to describe the happiness Harry from Roto-Rooter brought us. We were in an emergency situation without water due to am attempted toilet repair by my husband.
My daughter visiting with 3 children....HELP. We had called our usual plumber who was unable to fix it.
As a stab in the dark I called Roto-Rooter who had their service guy call..before he got here to discuss our problem. Harry came quickly and within 20 minutes he had solved the problem with confidence and ease. Oh, joy thank you for Harry.

We had an experience with Roto-Rooter that is worth writing a review that will hopefully keep enough people from making the same mistake we did using this company.
Jeremy and Steve came out to our house 90 days ago exactly. Our 2 toilets and 2 showers were backing up and there was clearly a problem with our septic line. In past experiences the line was snaked to get roots out and that usually cleared up the problem. These guys looked into our septic tank and concluded that we needed to hydro jet our septic line out to our leach field, a $744.00 job. Much to our hesitance to have this done, since our septic tank had been pumped a couple months prior, we had the roots snaked a couple years prior, and having never heard of this service being necessary when toilets and showers back up, we agreed to the work. BIG MISTAKE.

Now, 90 days later our 2 toilets and 2 showers are backed up. We called Roto-Rooter Santa Rosa after looking on the back of the receipt that clearly states sewer in good condition, (the work done was not caused by sewer lines in BAD CONDITION), 120 day or 6 month GUARANTEE depending on 3"" or 4"" pipeline. We want to emphasize we had our line from the house to the holding tank and the line from the holding tank out to our leach field hydro jetted for $744.00 90 days ago. The operator on the phone told us the work was not guaranteed. The serviceman Jeremy had crossed out the guarantee numbers at the time of service! They are NOT standing by their work and have left us as if we did not have a service done in the first place. Any reputable company should stand behind their work, especially if it has been done within the terms listed on their receipts.

We had another plumber come out and look this afternoon at our septic tank and lines into the house and out to our leach field. From what they could see with their camera, there was no evidence that a hydro jet service had been done correctly on our lines. The problem that was ""diagnosed"" and ""fixed"" by Roto-Rooter was in fact not the problem. Had Roto-Rooter diagnosed it correctly when they were here and not performed some other service that we didn't even need, we would not be in this situation. Clearly, their plumbing technicians are either inexperienced or under qualified for their position and if this were our company, we would not employ people seeking out $750.00 jobs incorrectly and not taking responsibility for their mistakes.

We will never recommend or use Roto-Rooter again, and we highly encourage people who read this review to call someone else. We wish we could give them a rating less than one star.

Woke up to no hot water on Saturday. Called a plumber and the soonest appointment was Monday afternoon. I took the appointment, but continued looking for weekend help. I tried Roto Rooter and they could send someone out that day. Yay! Marcos arrived not long afterwards and we discussed the problem and a solution. He needed a specific part, so went to plumbing supply and returned. Marcos was efficient and thorough, he waited to made sure everything was working before leaving. I really appreciate this because it avoids a return call.

No complaints on an emergency, pretty major drain clog clearing on my sewer lateral on a Sunday evening. Had guests in the house so no choice to wait until Monday morning. They showed up within 30 minutes of me calling and were thankfully able to cut out the roots in the line with a couple of passes and finish in an hour. The technician Gabe was courteous and explained things as he went along. It was $250, so not cheap but I had called another firm who could not make it out until Monday and they were $300 minimum if they had come out. So given Roto Rooter fixed the issue on an emergency basis with a prompt response, I felt it was fair deal.

The plumber was initially very kind and maintained a professional attitude throughout the work he did. The work first called for was a bit pricey but worth it. He returned to address another problem and as he left he explained that roto-rooter would no longer do business with me due to the nature of my communication. I did not swear or threaten him in any way, i was civil. He was referring to my bi-polar which is obvious. I even recorded him and during that time he did indicate that his decision to not work for me again was based on my disability.
I have phoned the CA disability rights and am awaiting the paperwork to fill out.
I have never ever filed a discrimination charge although it has happened before. Not a single person actually refused to do business with me as a result of my disease.
