If I could give Roto-Rooter in Santa Rosa a minus review, I would. Though the service person came out quickly, that's the only thing he did. Our complaint was a blocked toilet. The service person said he unblocked the pipe but the toilet still wouldn't flush without the water coming up to the top edge. The service person (who had no idea what he was doing we realized later) said we needed a new toilet so we bought one immediately and had it installed. This still did not solve the problem. Finally, our maintenance person removed the block by placing a high-powered blower onto the wax ring where the pipe is located just under the toilet. He had the drained cleared in less than 5 minutes and put the original toilet on and everything has worked fine for over 6 months.

Roto Rooter sent us a bill for $419. When we declined to pay due to a poor job and incorrect advise, which cost us even more in the long run, the best they said they could do is reduce the bill to $250 but if we didn't pay it they would report us to a collection company thus ruining our credit - pure bl__kma_l in our book (you fill in the blanks) so we paid the $250, however, we will never use this company or any of its franchises again. Complete rip-off!!!

Over the years you hope you don't need this kind of help, but when you do, Roto Rooter is great! A few years ago I needed help in Novato, and today in Petaluma. Marcos was on time, professional, and did a great job getting our waste lines cleaned out and back in service. (egg shells, who knew....) I called Santa Rosa Roto Rooter on Sunday morning at 9:45, Marcos arrived at 10:30 and was wrapped up by 11:00. The availability, quick service, and a thorough job made the cost a non-issue. $276.00 is worth it (to me) to have my backed-up drains cleared in under an hour. Thank you Marcos!!

Roto Rooter is the one to call if/when you have an emergency plumbing situation! I have an old house with old pipes, and we got a drain backup. I called one of the other ""rooter"" places, and they were so deficient! The dispatcher was awful, they promised a time window for later that day, and then kept pushing that back and pushing it back: into the next day, the next day, etc., until I said uncle and tried Roto. Some of these service companies just make promises to get you lined up, without really having any techs available, and then they string you along. But not Roto. The tech showed up within an hour of my call! He was fast and proficient, the price was reasonable, and I'm very happy to have toilets that flush down instead of geysering up!

Due to Tubbs fire gas was turned off. When pge came to turn gas back on the water heater would not light. Pge told me that i needed a new thermo coupler. This required an outside plumbing service.
I called roto rooter explained what i was told by pge and scheduled service. Before the arrival time roto rooter called to verify tank capacity. The caller said it was to make sure they had the part on the truck. When they arrived i let them in the garage where heater is located and i went back into the house. Not too long afterwards i was told they needed to go to home depot to buy a pan ??? They returned and went directly back into garage. I wasn't called out to the garage until later when i was presented with a bill for a brand new water heater. It was hard to understand, due to language barrier, explanation as to why i needed a new water heater. what i think i understood was that parts for my 5 yr old heater were not available.
So without my authorization they went ahead and installed a new water heater. I paid the bill reluctantly, was looking forward to a much needed shower, but i do feel like i was totally scammed. Just wanted to write this review to let others know to beware.

Needed them to simply unclog a toilet. Very friendly phone service. Very nice technician who arrived on time as promised. Work successfully and neatly accomplished in 3 minutes with an auger (short drain snake). It took him longer to do the paperwork than to unclog the toilet. Then the shock: $219.75 PER HOUR is their basic rate for one man, and one hour is minimum charge. Read that again! No, I did not ask for an estimate first. Should have. They just lost a steady (though infrequent) customer for 15+ years for jobs like this. Will buy an auger next time!!

From start to finish Roto-Rooter of Santa Rosa did a great job for us. The office staff was upbeat and helpful. They informed us promptly when schedule changes came up. The Service Technicians, Ernesto and Jose, were on time, polite and worked quickly to successfully complete the job. The price charged was the same as quoted and fair for the work preformed.

Roto Rooter has come to my aid more than once. For that time I threw green beans down the drain,
(ya, don't do that!!!!)
They came on a dimes notice. Immediately working the hour. I was very impressed they came so promptly to my aid, relieving me of my clogged drain. They were very reasonable in price and it wasn't an arm and a leg.

The other time I've used their services was in my work environment. We were having a plumber from another business come out multiple times to locate a clog he could never find. In fact he couldn't find it 3 times.
I took it upon myself to call Roto Rooter to get to the ""Root"" of the problem.
(Pun Intended)
Roto Eliter again , came to my aid lightening fast and lickity split. After 3 hours of snaking, Roto Rooter pulled out a 12+ inch clog of gunk that wasn't found by the other plumber from another company the 3 other times he cane out.

Point being, Roto Rooter will always be my go to for all of my plumbing needs.
LESSON LEARNED......
DO NOT THROW GREEN BEANS DOWN THE DRAIN.

Boy I tell ya, I don't leave many reviews; but Roto Rooter and their serviceman Jeremy deserve five starts. Jeremy arrived right on time at 3:00PM, got right to work, cleared narrow old 1 1/2"" drain line, 2"" drain line, and 4"" sewer line, replaced a leaking pea trap under laundry sink (had the parts on the truck $12!), and was on his way. Who was that masked man! Thank you Jeremy and Roto Rooter! Tom L (General Contractor).

How can I begin to describe the happiness Harry from Roto-Rooter brought us. We were in an emergency situation without water due to am attempted toilet repair by my husband.
My daughter visiting with 3 children....HELP. We had called our usual plumber who was unable to fix it.
As a stab in the dark I called Roto-Rooter who had their service guy call..before he got here to discuss our problem. Harry came quickly and within 20 minutes he had solved the problem with confidence and ease. Oh, joy thank you for Harry.
