On third day of no hot water due to venting issue attempted to get fixed on a Sunday. After calling multiple plumbers advertising service 24/7 but not having availability until Monday finally called Roto-Rooter. Other plumbing companies made us wait to get a call back from the technicians only to be told they could not help us today.
Roto-Rooter technician arrived in under an hour from phone call. That is FAST and efficient service on a weekend! So happy that we had hot water just a couple hours after our call. Chris was friendly, helpful, efficient, and professional.

Advertising 24//7 service. I had an emergency with water flowing from tub faucet breaking. Was told they couldn't get out to do anything until the next day. Totally false advertising regarding emergencies. Luckily we got a hold of a local guy who took care of it right away. Nothing worse than lying about your capabilities as a business.

Quoted me a price to replace a bathroom faucet that was twice the going rate!!!! Always get multiple bids on a project - even a small one!!!!!! I wouldn't use these guys unless it was a true emergency!!!!!

Outrageous pricing!

Our garbage disposal stopped working and my wife contacted Roto-Rooter. They came out for a same-day appointment (trainee + supervisor) and my wife was too embarrassed to send them on their way after getting their estimate for disassemble, install, seal, test at $690!

So now, I'm stuck with a $700 credit-card charge and Roto with a 1-star review... Feels like a lose-lose for everyone...

Save your money! Hire a local handyman service and you'll spend a fraction of the money without 'hidden' costs for hardware markup and labor.

FYI - The new disposal retails at under $200 from Home Depot / Amazon / etc.

Poor customer service. Good luck trying to get a call back...they no showed twice. Very difficult to work with. I cannot speak to their plumbing/drainage services because I haven't actually seen them perform any...

My drain was clogged and the trap under my kitchen sink was NOT leaking before Charles from Roto Rooter came to clear my drain. During his visit he relentlessly pressured me to buy other services including replacing the trap. Once he unclogged my sink and replaced the trap the trap was leaking. He came back when I called to complain and then tried AGAIN to sell me a trap and installation. Since I paid $250.00 to have my drain cleared this made me very angry and I refused to pay him to fix the trap he broke. He decided for no charge he could put some tape on it and it still leaks so I am now going to have to pay someone to fix it. It also took me 2 appointments that were made and not kept before Charles came back. There seems to be a disconnect between the call center and the service technicians since the call center was unable to make a follow up appointment that was kept as promised. I will NEVER do business with Roto Rooter in the future and would caution anyone to NOT use your services.

I had a main line blockage on a rental property forcing my tenants to stay at a motel. I had called a number of other plumbers who did not seem to appreciate the urgency of my situation. When I called Roto Rooter, they had 3 trucks at the property within 30 minutes. They quickly cleared the blockage and diagnosed 3 separate breaks in the main line. We agreed that the main line needed to be replaced and then that a lining should be added in the line to the main sewer in the street. Adriel Lopez headed up the job and completed it in a reasonable time. Clearly these guys were the right plumbers for my job.

Great start initially. Came right out, diagnosed the problem (we had a main sewer line clog by tree roots) gave us a price and came out and fixed it after we agreed on their price. The problem came after they finished and we tried our irrigation system. Started out with 1 line leaking (wasn't upset yet, I realized that, since they used a backhoe to trench down to the sewer line, and there were liable to be some leaks. However, that contract did specify that all landscapingwould be returned to pre-work conditions) Since it was only 1 I didn't bother calling. Once I got that line fixed, I presssurized the line again and found another line that had to be fixed. At this point we tried calling and were told the foreman was on vacation. We tried to talk to his manager and never got a call back. We finally talked to the foreman and he promised he would have a crew out the next Monday. I took the day off on Monday and no one showed. Wednesday, as my girlfriend was leaving the house, a crew showed up and couldn't understand why they couldn't do the work, even though noone would be at the house to give them access to the timers! All told, I had to repair 5 or 6 sprinkler lines. Nothing was even marked! We started calling again to complain and were finally told to submit our receipts for the repairs and they would reimburse us but they wouldn't pay for my labor time. (Alright, being in the Service field I understand that one) We're still waiting on a check for the matials we used. Those were submitted almost a month ago.

These guys straight up cheated my wife. Then when I called them on it the guy was rude, and said that the paperwork was signed so it was too late to do anything about it. He tried to lie about how much the part costed, but didn't realize we had pictures of the part he used. The receipt they send is NOT itemized, so they hide behind that. I complained and they said a manager would call me, which still hasn't happened even after I called again. Do not use these guys.
