Think twice before you call for service. My elderly mother was taken advantage of! I was shocked by what she was telling me. The clogged sewer line almost ended up costing over $8000 for 30 ft of pipe. They did hydro cleaning and put a camera in the line and also said it may cost more if a permit is pulled.... quoting $1800 extra. They wanted to do the job on a Saturday to avoid city permits and also pushed out the job stating the city of Glendale inspector was following them to the house and that was why they pushed the job to Saturday to avoid pulling a permit. I halted all services and got a second opinion....unbelievable that there's nothing that needs replacing!!! BTW the service technicians are not licensed plumbers!!! They voided the contract and asked what they could do to avoid ""bad publicity"". Roto Rooter have unethical technicians taking advantage of the elderly and their management doesn't care Despicable!!!!

I was apprehensive, but instead, I had a terrific experience. I had a toilet that the water kept running.I scheduled an app't online for the next morning. That surprised me. Then immediately after I was finished, I had a call from a really friendly customer service person. She gave me a tighter window for service moving it from a 4 hour window to a two hour window. The following morning, a customer service called me when I was the next ticket up. The technician showed up during the 2 hour window. He diagnosed the problem with the toilet but the parts he needed for a specialty Kohler toilet were not on his truck. He then went to buy the parts at the nearest Plumbing Supply. That place also did not have the parts. So then he went to two additional Plumbing Supply stores. he called and told me about what he was doing and that he could buy the parts that would resolve the main problem, but the deteriorating gasket he would need to order. He came back, did the repair and gave me a very fair bill for the efforts he had made to resolve the problems. He also wore shoe protectors and cleaned up the bathroom when he was complete. My technicians name is Marty. Marty is a real professional who enjoys what he does and is proud of the company he works for.

highway robbery! $325 for roughly 40 minutes of work. simple drain clog in a bathroom sink. would have taken care of myself had i been in town, but took advantage of my girlfriend that was home for this. beware, price gouging is alive and well with these guys!

I had some broken snakes in my sewer probably left from bad contractors worked for the seller of my house. I called several plumbers and they all told me that They just could not take out the broken snakes and had to replace whole sewer pipe. It appears that they did not want to take a chance for possible breaking their expensive sewer pipe camera. I called Roto-rooter guys from Chatsworth and they came to give me estimate. Since I had bad experience with another Roto office (for different job), I did not have much expectation. However these guys were different. They were very professional and removed almost all snakes, which took almost 5 hours. Of course it was not cheap. However compared to replacing the whole pipes, it was very cheap.

We are huge fans of Roto Rooter! Terrific customer commitment and service. Luis C., Ben R., Oscar, and William and the whole lining crew were absolutely fantastic! We had a pipe repair that was creating havoc, the week of my birthday when we had guest visiting! My kitchen sink was clogged on a saturday and I called Roto rooter
For a simple work the technician was asking $240 dollars and was telling me we have to go to your neighbors below to check their drain and if we see problem with their sink the cost of repair will be more. Since I never heard of such a thing I told the technician no and he told me if you call us tomorrow Sunday , you will be paying additional $50 for work on Sunday

I told him do not need their services and he left . I called my handy man and he opened the sink with his tool and did not even go to any neighbors
My handy man charged me 50 dollars for the job versus $240 that Roto rooter tech was asking

Roto rooter charges are over price and they think with the story they tell to client they can rob them and get extra money for a simple job

Avoid. Roto Rooter quoted me over a thousand dollars for a seven dollar valve part. Another plumber did the job for $120 and took ten minutes.

Had a major back-up about 6:00 PM. The after hours charge was only $50. I called a few other places first, and they were $100-150. Vincent was polite, professional and efficient. The total cost was $280, which is not bad at all for two hours of work from 7-9 PM!

For the third time in four months our toilet backed up and I needed to call a plumber. Prior attempts used an auger to clear the obstruction ( from companies my warranty company sent) but it was only a temporary fix. This time we called Roto-Rooter to finally clear this problem once and for all.
They arrived one hour after our call. The plumber found that although he could clear the problem with an auger as was previously done but the calcium build up in our toilet would mean this would happen again. He suggested we get a new toilet but didn't push I buy one from him. I inquired if this was something he could do and he said they would wave the plumbing expense and service call ($175) if I bought the toilet from Roto-Rooter.
The plumber, Max (I believe), did an excellent job and we love our new Kohler low flow toilet. He was courteous, professional and put our mind at ease.
I would highly recommend using this company as we will for all our future plumbing needs.
