Said they would be arriving between 8 am and 10 am. He was running a bit late, but we were kept apprised of the time he would be here. No problem for us. He arrived about 9:45 am, did the root treatment, and was gone. No muss, no fuss. This is why we always use Roto-Rooter

Jay Boundy did a great job. Not sure if all RR service people are as good, maybe I got lucky. He took care of a complicated set of problems in a timely manner. He and crew were very busy, so I admit that communication wasn't as prompt and smooth as it could've been, but he really came through when I expressed our urgent needs, rearranging his and crew's work to fit the situation. Quality work. And instead of charging extra for such demands, gave me a great deal. Treated each of us well - explained things thoroughly, patiently, politely. Wish all my service experiences could be this good..

Don't have much experience with plumbing companies, so I really don't know if they are the best, but DAMN! Our technician Jesus did an awesome job clearing out our clogged drain at our house in Westborough South San Francisco! When we called Roto Rooter around 6:45pm, we were given a window the technician would show up ... 9pm-1am. 1am?! Oh well, we took a chance since we really wanted to be able to take showers and use the toilets this evening. hehe. We were given a 30 min notice call (around 9:45/10pm) and when we got to back to the house, Jesus was just about to leave since no one was at home. Oops! Luckily we got his attention, and he was able to fix our problem so quickly (in under 30 minutes!). He explained what he was doing, what caused the blockage (roots. damn drought!), and future steps to mitigate the problem. He gave us options but wasn't pushy at all. He was super friendly, knowledgeable about what he was doing, and he definitely showed that his number one priority is customer satisfaction.

If ever we're in a plumbing jam, and can't fix the problem ourselves, we'll definitely give Roto Rooter a call!!!

The connection between my house and the city sewer line becomes clogged every year or so, a combination of tree root invasion and an offset between the house line and the city sewer line. I always call Rotorooter, as you can schedule online and the service person shows up when advertised. As in all previous times, the service person was prompt, helpful, and efficient. I forget to make a note of his name, but he also me some advice as to what to do *after* I've cleared a clogged toilet -- run the shower for a few minutes to help the clog move all the way to the city sewer lin.e

Woke up Sunday morning to a flooded first floor. I quickly googled emergency water damage and got a hit for these guys. I entered my zip code, was routed to a local number, and explained my problem and the several inches of standing water. They sent out a plumber which wasn't exactly what we needed. He was nice enough but not at all equipped or interested in getting the standing water off our floors. He let us borrow his shopvac to suck up the water. We later called our insurance company (which we should have done first) who sent out a real team.

The guy who came explained they used to have someone who did water damage, but he quit. They had another company that they could recommend that they had a subcontractor relationship with. Well that was interesting, but not particularly helpful given i viewed the standing water that i called about as an emergency that was very timely.

Probably fine for plumbing.

A big thanks to John C. At Rotor-Rooter for coming to my home in Burlingame to help me out. A window of time was set for me yesterday and I received a call 30 min. Prior to arrival which was well within the window of time. John was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and a pleasure to have a friendly person come and resolve the clogged drains in both a shower and a tub. Not money I looked forward to spending however by the time he left I was grateful for his service. Would not only use this service again but would see if he could do the job.

Outstanding service!! Reasonable price. We called on a Saturday and had a plumber within four hours. Work was done professionally and in a timely manner. The Plumber, Jesus, was exceptional. He investigated the issue thoroughly and determined that a municipality was responsible for the problem and called the city. He networked with the city to get a resolution. Highly recommended!!!!!

I do not understand all the 5 star reviews. I need a drain line cleared from the back of my house to the drain in front. My plumber didn't have the equipment to do it. So I called Roto Rooter.

I had an appointment this past Monday from 3pm-7pm. At 7pm they called and said they would still send someone later that night. Unfortunately, that didn't work for me, so I rescheduled for the next day. Tuesday the appointment was from 1pm-4pm. No one showed up, but I received a call at 5pm asking me if I still wanted service. I said ""No, thank you."" On Tuesday night they sent me a coupon for $40 off to try one more time. I didn't know anyone else to call, so I read all the reviews and called Wednedsay requesting either Ryan or Rich who both received great reviews. They were schedule to show up between 8 and 10am this morning, Thursday. No one came. I then got a phone call saying they weren't sure who took my call, but both Rich and Ryan were unavailable. They were not at all concerned that I was taking my business elsewhere.

I contacted a few friends for other ideas as to who to call. I finally googled ""Rooter, Menlo Park"" and found Gary's Guaranteed Rooter in Portola Valley. Gary called back in one minute, and they are on their way now. I will leave a review for them as well.
I noticed on Gary's yelp page that someone else found them on a search when Roto Rooter didn't show up.

Very HONEST!!
I called these guys out today because of slow running drains and backed up toilet. Luis was here within an hour and was friendly and knowledgable. Turns out, it was a problem that can be fixed for free by the city! I wouldn't have known that, but he was kind enough to suggest I call them before shelling out close to $350 on a Saturday. Turns out it was the city's issue anyway (tree roots all the way into the street.) I will call these folks out when I need a plumber in the future because it's not often a company really has your best interest in mind. Thanks!!

When I scheduled the appointment with them, I asked for a ballpark estimate. They said they don't give estimates over the phone, and that the workman would give me the estimate at the job. When he arrived he quoted me $229, which is about double what other rooter services are. I told him that was too expensive--bye-bye. I got another company to do it for half.
