They tell you the insurance company is going to cover everything just sign here and we will talk to and take care of the insurance company for you 7 days later there out and stuck with a 20000 dollar bill that the insurance doesn't cover

I had a toliet backup and I knew it was tree roots. I called Roto Rooter of Corona, CA. They came out the same day. From the moment the technician came into my house he was hustling me for stuff. New colar for toilet, needed a bigger camera so he called his buddy. $745 later, I don't know what happened but the bill kept growing. Total fraud. Also I can't prove it so I will suggest they stole stuff from my garage. I was with them the whole time in the house, but they kept going out thru the garage to get stuff. That morning I was working on my car when my wife said toilets are backed up. I left all the electrical stuff next to my car and called them. After they left I went back to work on my car and everything was missing. No camera in garage so I can't prove anything, but if there's smoke there's fire.

I had a backed-up kitchen sink that needed to be snaked out. I have to do this about once a year. In the past I've used Rescue Rooter or Mike Diamond and have paid between $99-$150. I saw a coupon online for $75 off drain clearance from Rotor Rooter so I decided to give them a try. BIG MISTAKE!! First of all, the technician was 2 hours late from allotted time frame. With coupon he said it would be $340. I said I've never paid that much & he replied he would give me another $25 off for being senior citizen. Against my better judgement I agreed only because it was too late in the day to call someone else and I was having dinner party that night. He was here about 30 minutes. When he presented bill it was $340. I asked about the additional $25 off, he replied he applied it as it would of been $365. Completely lied. I didnt argue as at this point I just wanted this man out of my house. Never written a review before, but I was completely wripped off.

I wich i could give -10 review for this company. I have filed a fraudulent complaint against this company on the government FTC website. Below is my complain:

I called rotorooter for a free estimate service to unclock the sink. I repeatly mentioned that please makesure that this is free of charge estimation. Please call me back with an estimate and do not start the work until you hear from me. Igave them my son name who stayed there temporarily, who will let the technician in. Monday (the 19th 2022), i did not hear from them. i called my son and asked what happened. My son said they did the work and asked for $400.00. They told myson that I requested them to do the work. I got furious and kept calling them back, demanding to get the refund as i did not authozied them to do the work. I kept calling an they gave me the run-around and finally told me ""sorry they cannot refund themoney"". This is an unethical and dishonest business practice as they had lied in the way they conduct their business using lies. Please help me with this matter as they acted like there is nothing I can do about as they already did the service. Also, they knew that this is not fixing the problem. They told my son that it will happen again and they proceeded to do the work without my consent, in order to collect $400 for it.

I needed to have an outdoor drain snaked to see if there were roots from my neighbors tree clogging it and causing my backyard to flood when it rains. Knowing they had been around a long time, I emailed Roto Rooter to set up an appointment. Someone from a centralized scheduling call center called me and aid they would be at my home on Monday, which they were. Bobby was our guy and a very nice and knowledgeable gentlemen who told me from the get-go that there are no guarantees his service would work. It was only then that I asked the cost of his services and he told me it would be $440/hour! WHAT? Does this guy have a law degree and an MD after his name? Holy crap!

I needed his services and he was partially successful, but I will not use them again at those prices with NO guarantees!

Floor drain starting backing up
Rotor rooter customer for many years called service to clear the line.
After 45 min running cable few times been advised camera need to be run to see the issues which still accrue.
45 min unsuccessful work cost $391.00 !!!!!
24 hours later none contact and make appointments with camera screening.
Unsatisfactory with service and cost related provide. Definitely it was my last service call to RR after been in business with them more than 10 years

Absolutely appalled by the service that happened. Our bathroom shower handles are stuck and the water will not turn off. We waited 7 hours for a rude asshole that was two hours late and had the communication skills of a pet rock. After him saying the handles won't turn which I told him was the entire issue he said he had to remove the wall from the shower and replace everything. I asked if he could turn off the water and unscrew the handle to use a wrench and manually turn off the valves. This seems like common sense which I have seen solve an issue like this in the past. The tech got all worked up and said I'm leaving fix it yourself. If you don't want to listen to me then you find someone else. This company is lucky I don't call my lawyer for this absolute shit service. Unprofessional unqualified and unacceptable. I will never recommend a company like this to anyone in the OC area. This was an occurrence at 830PM in Aliso Viejo CA. Train your technicians not to be snakes.

Over priced for drain service! Wanted $440 to clear an obvious hair blockage in sink trap... called Justintime plumbing who charged $195 and had the clog cleared in 10 minutes!

Worst business of all time. We waited and wasted two days of our time for what..no one to show up?! Saturday, they were supposed to come and fix our plumbing between 12 and 4. I called them around 3 pm. They said they dont have anyone right now to come and fix our plumbing. I call back at 4 to check in. They dont have anyone. I asked to reschedule bc I wasted my whole day waiting around for them.

They rescheduled us the next day (tod ay) and said they put us on the priority list. But they gave us a 10-2 window. I call at 11 am to check the status. No one available even when they said we were priority. I call back at 1215pm to check. They said they will call me In 30 min No one called me back. I call back at 1pm. They said there was a delay but will have them call me in 15 mins with someone to come by. No one calls. I call at 2 pm. Still no one! They offered me a 75 dollar discount. I asked them how am I supposed to know what the problem is and the actual amish t is of the entire service? . I told them unless they offer me free services and not charge me for anything I dont want them anymore. they said they cant do that. I told them well that's too bad. You lost a customer. You cant keep people waiting for 2 days or more! We would up finding someone else who charges way less and got here within the hour.. go private contracts. Screw commercial businesses such as roto rooter. They dont care
