I had Roto rooter come out a few times.

1st time for a clog in the pipes, and the technicians were very knowledgeable and got the job done quickly and cleaned my bathroom very well!

2nd time leaking pipe issue, technician was nice but man the pricing was ridiculous! I learned my lesson, roto rooter is a brand name....so always call at least 3 vendors and compare rate, knowledge and vibe of the customer service. I can tell Roto rooter always trying to up charge and when try to say not interested all of a sudden the price changes...

Sorry roto rooter, found a more reliable and trustworthy plumber

Reggie and Nicholas were great. As a single woman, I'm always a bit nervous about men coming to work inside my home but they were super professional and friendly. The call center is another story- there was a lot of miscommunication. Pricing given didn't match the previous work done a few months ago so I asked to follow up with the manager but the miscommunication delayed everything. Thankfully, the manager smoothed it out - he was able to explain, and adjusted the price as a courtesy.

This company gave me a quote for replacing a shower valve on Saturday night quote $3200.00 Sunday morning cost was $2000.00 then didn't show up Sunday morning called said would be 3 hours late so I then called a different plumber in Manteca he came on time Monday morning gave me a quote for $800.00 thank goodness the Roto Rooter guy was late Sunday morning and gave me the run around they won't be called by me ever again.

Nick and his crew did a fabulous job. All the work was done as promised. I had a new 60ft line put in that connects my house to the sewer. They also installed new access clean outs. Our house was built in 1915 so it was time to get the work done. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter. Their prices are good and they have all the equipment and latest technology to get the job done efficiently.

Run! They will say things that are wrong with your plumbing that aren't even true! Horrible service!!

Way overpriced! $365 to snake an easily accessible sewage drain out in my wide open driveway that only needed to go about 25 feet in the drain. Called Johnson Plumbing and had the service done for $113 and it only took 15 minutes. Not only that they also wanted to charge around another 400 odd something dollars to use the snake camera as well. So all in all almost $1,000 dollars to snake a drain that's easy to get to and only takes around 15 minutes to get done. Save your wallet and get a second quote or just never call these guys in the first place.

Roto rooter came to my property and did unnecessary repairs. They did a phone quote to my family member without looking at anything in person. Phone quote was for a leaking plumbing in the wall but there was no leak. Just a leaking fixture that was spraying out so severely it was getting around the side of the shower curtain and making the floor wet. The baseboard was wet in the bathroom only since my kids weren't drying it after showering. Once the repairman arrived at the property he went to the opposing wall from the leaking fixture and it was completely free of any water damage... no water stain or dampness After unnecessarily cutting a hole in the wall and replacing all the plumbing. I showed up to an open wall and new plumbing and asked if there was any water damage to Sheetrock, surrounding wood frame or any mold in the wall.. he replied no. Then asked if there was any leaking of the pipes. He replied no but said he changed it all anyway because that's what the job was bid for. He said he had over 10 Years experience. There was a dresser in front of the wall so I didn't see it before he had done all the work. After moving the dresser and seeing the sheet rock he should of known there was no evidence of water damage or leaky plumbing and called his company and told them that there was a misunderstanding and the job was misquoted but instead took advantage of an individual to the tune of over $2000. And now a hole in the wall Do your homework. They will take your money and not feel bad. The work was good. Top line work but too bad it didn't need to be done in the first place. It really surprises me such a reputable company would do such a thing

Called roto rooter plumbing for a leaky pipe and the representative came out. He quoted $8-$10K for a pipe. I declined and he stated that he could recommend roto rooter's other department which would help find the leak. I agreed and this team came out and said they could find the leak by opening my floors and walls. I declined and the agent Jesus, asked If I had home owners insurance, I told him yes. At that point he stated as a statefarm customer, they can leave fans at no charge and should I choose to use roto rooters' team to open my walls and floors to dry, they would at that point charge my insurance. Jesus stated they needed to dry out my home so I contacted my home owners insurance and explained the situation. I told my agent that complimentary fans were being left and that I needed to speak with a flooring company to ensure that if roto rooter ripped up my floors, walls, and cabinetry, that a contractor would be able to replace my floors and cabinetry. A contractor came (who also does restoration/drying) and stated there was no need to pull open walls, cabinets, and floors. They would only need to remove the baseboards. Roto rooter's Jesus, was very dishonest and was looking to create a large job that was not needed. Of course, I ask roto rooter to take their fans and leave my home. Several weeks later, they send 2 fraudulent documents to my home owners claim agent, with a signature that is supposedly from me agreeing for them to leave fans and do work on my home. They sent my home owners an invoice for $4000 for 5 days of fans. I immediately reported this to my HOI and BBB. Avoid this unethical company at all cost! See the attached photos of these fraudulent signatures. Anyone can check trustpilot and BBB to see roto rooters' poor reputation; I certainly wish I had. Ultimately, I used Freitas plumbing to repair the leak ($300) and leak detection company ($400) to find the leak. Roto Rooter's entire team is dishonest from Jeses, to the manager Janet, and her boss as well. I settled with my insurance company, who may pursue roto rooter for submitting fraudulent documents.

I know there's some bad reviews out there about Roto Rooter, but this is not one of them !
I had a leak in my ceiling (attic) above the kitchen where a pipe had a pinhole leak which was squirting water onto my ceiling which eventually leaked onto my kitchen floor. From what I could ascertain, it had leaked about an hour. I thought that I had did enough to dry out my wooden floors.
I called Roto Rooter about the leak, and they responded very fast by sending a technician out ! That tech was Maulden K. He did a terrific job in replacing the damaged pipe. Then another Roto Rooter technician showed up at my door to which I explained a tech was already here and maybe his office had double dispatched him.
This young man's name was Ashten !
I can tell you that Ashten he was extremely polite, extremely professional and extremely patient (with me) in explaining to me his presence !!
Ashten was there to assess the damage caused by the leaking pipe (who knew ?). I explained to him that I had already ""dried up"" the affected areas which included the front my kitchen cabinets, my (Formica) counters and onto my wooden floor.
Ashten had a meter to read moisture on surfaces to which he explained how it worked. There was definitely moisture in my floors (underneath). I had him to show me where the surface areas were dry and he showed me that also !!
I was thinking scam !
But he assured me it was not !!
He brought in fans, humidifiers dehumidifiers and heater fans to dry out my ceiling and floor !!!
To make a very long story short There was mold (caused by the water damage) and asbestos detection (not caused by the water damage but by old ""joint compound"") in my ceiling and walls !!!
All drywall's have been replaced since !
It has been a true pain in the butt, but when I look back at it all, I'm very glad Ashten showed up at my door !!!
I can honestly tell you, if it wasn't for Ashten's true professionalism, I wouldn't have went through with it at all !!!
