You gave me a window from noon to 2 pm yesterday. At 2:15 some one called and said they'd be another hour. Then no one called so I called at 4:30 and they said I was next on the list. The guy finally showed up at 6:15 pm. Then, he had to go to Home Depot to get the part. He got the wrong part. So he turned off my water to the house and left at 8 pm. My whole day waiting on a plumber! Told me I would be first today. I waited until 9 am today to call you and they told me an hour. The guy showed up at 10:15 this morning. Some how I don't think that's first! It took him until noon to fix my shower knob. He had to go get a part that I'm sure was a 40 dollar part that I got charged 182.00 dollars for. What a rip off!!!! I feel I was overcharged for my service call. $500 dollars to fix a broken shower knob. Wow. And NO apologies were ever made for wasting 2 days of my life waiting for you. I will NEVER call Roto-rooter again! And I will tell my friends not to use you as well.
AND.... to top it off, he put the handle on backwards. So now to turn it off you have to pull up. I'd make you come out and fix it and make it right but I'm now going to waste another day of my life waiting for you!

The worst experience ever. This company is a joke. We will be there between 2-5pm shows up at 7:30pm. No call from them letting me know they are running late. I call and nothing they can do. He's on his way lol. Then this kid not more than 19 shows up and wants $250 to unclog a 2"" drain. I will never never use this company for anything. The worst ever.

First of all, we were given a 3-hour window (4-7pm), even when they knew they were running late, WE had to call (3 times) to get an update. They finally called us at 9:00pm, said they were going to be another hour. When the guy finally showed up at 10:15, he didn't know where our main line is. And, wanted to jackhammer our front porch! We called another company who came out & found our main line in 2 minutes & snaked our line!!
ROTO-ROOTER SUCKS!

My mom accidently flushed her wedding ring and we were hoping to retrieve it. We avoided flushing that toilet & running water in that bathrm as well as avoided running water throughout the house in hopes of finding the ring in the trap or pipe. A very clean, polite technician came but didn't come w/ camera/scope & said he couldn't get one. He said he could return in 2 days and unseat the toilet & look in the drain but never mentioned a camera. After 2 days of not running water in the house, at the time of our appt they called & cancelled our appt & tried to reschedule for another day. They said our technician was not available & couldn't send another one. This was an emotional mishap as my father had passed away several months ago and now she also is suffering the loss of her wedding ring that fell off her finger unknowingly. No compassion from roto rooter and poor customer service. Have used them for years but will not be calling them again.

Came into my place of business to give a quote on fixing the main line. They removed a toilet to get camera into the main line and in the process broke the toilet. Toilet worked fine before they arrived. Wanted to charge us $250 to fix the toilet they broke on top of the $375 the landlord was paying for estimate. I had to pay Purdy Plumbing to come in and fix what they broke. Go through Purdy Plumbing if you want an honest company. Steer clear of Roto Rooter terrible customer service.

My shower and tub clogged after showering with my two yellow Lab pups to clean them. Not as kinky as it sounds, but certainly yellow hairy. The drain clogged, and I cleared it that time with the hair and grease drain cleaner. However months later daughter bathed her dog, and later when I showered, the water backed up and wouldn't drain. Called one of the highly recommended plumbers on yelp, and he failed to clear the drain after one try with his power snake saying he was afraid he would break off its end. He wondered if ""something besides hair"" went down the drain and was stumped.

I called Roto Rooter, and Mario and Blake were confident that they could clear the drain with their power snake, saying they just had to find the ""down"". Otherwise snaking the shower drain would lead to the tub drain and vice versa. It just took them 5-6 tries and by bending the end of the snake different angles each time until one worked. The drain cleared allowing the standing water to rush down the drain.

The moral of this is you would not call a general practitioner doctor to replace your knees. You would call a knee surgeon specialist who has done many many such surgeries before. So too, if you don't need general plumbing work done, but a clogged drain cleared, call the clogged drain specialists at Roto Rooter who do nothing but unclog clogged pipe lines.

Today, Darwin came out to do a free video inspection that we qualified for. It is a residential closed circuit television program. Once the video is complete, it is given along with the invoice to Mesa Sanitary District.

Darwin, the plumber, refused to complete the service without payment of $275. He argued with my husband and said it was an ""old program, Bud."" This was after the service was pre-arranged with a Roto-Rooter supervisor. Darwin made several attempts to lie and said they would submit the invoice only if they were doing the work on the line. He also said the paperwork was old.

If the company and their representatives are willing to lie about this...ask yourself, what else will they lie about or fabricate?

ZERO STARS for service, integrity and credibility.

They are the worst outfit. They worked on a condo above us and pushed the black smelling water down into our condo. They don't accept responsibility for their work. Mel, the supervisor at midnight on Saturday, told us to wait until Monday to talk to their supervisor. So we can't use our kitchen sink until then.

I increased the rating because I got a call from the manager and he covered the costs of getting our drains cleared. Thank you.

I had a leaking kitchen sink and I was serviced by John A. The service that he provided was excellent!. John showed me pictures of the pipes that he would be working on and explained the whole procedure to me. I will continue to use Roto-Rooter/ John A for all my plumbing needs ,Thank You.

We received a letter in the mail for a $50 coupon. When we called for an estimate for the annual backflow prevention testing, he mentioned $179 each. So $358 for the two. We paid $110 for the two last year with Hedrick Fire Protection. Even with the $50 coupon, it will still be more expensive to service one valve than the two with Hedrick. While I can't speak for the quality of the service, I can definitely say they are severely overcharging.
