When things go well with a company you never know if they value you as a customer or not. I have used Roto Rooter on numerous occasions with great success, but recently a sewage overflow created a complex issue in a triplex where I own a unit. They responded within an hour of my call even though it was midday. The plumber managed to get one toilet operational, but needed to come back the next day to bring the camera. It turned out to be a more complex problem than originally thought after checking the camera results. Anytime you are dealing with people and complex issues, mistakes are possible. When I advised the manager Don about my issue he was out right away and made everything right including adjusting the bill for the error. There is no doubt in my mind that management at this location has great integrity and really cares if their staff does a great job, above all they want to keep their customers happy and coming back. I am pleased to recommend them.

these guys are awesome! i was told by a local plumber that roto rooter will go on the roof if necessary. so i called them. they cleared the clog with no problem. a previous plumber was unsuccessful. they also installed a clean out drain, because mine is inaccessible. luis & manuel know their stuff & did an outstanding job. matthew found the exact spot where the main line was under the concrete with a sonar device. i was given a dvd of my sewer line. your worries are over if you call roto rooter of anaheim & request luis!

One of the worst companies we hired...not necessarily for the service but the price gouging. We ordered the service over internet and we were charged $335.50 for the same service we have paid $99 six month earlier. YEP! Exactly the same service and will never use them again.

Please make sure you ask for prices before the work. Don't assume it will be similar to what you have paid previously..

I called Roto-Rooter to help us fish an ear ring out of the sink, then reattach the stopper that broke off its metal post inside the sinks drain. The ear ring was easily retrieved, but once we were told he couldn't fix our stopper because it was a Kohler sink and he didn't have the right parts for it, he charged me more for opening up the sink anyway.... for an incomplete job, what a joke!
This was before I found Yelp.
Anyway, if you need your sink unclogged call these guys, but for any other plumbing jobs there are many reputable companies that do real work with real results.

Roto Rooter has been at my condo over the last two weeks trying to fox a leak and the customer service has been horrible. Here are the major issues:

1. Timeliness- they almost never arrived when they said they would.
They were consistently late and unprofessional in communicating this tardiness. On two occasions they did not show up. I left work, rearranged my schedule on these days and they never arrived.

2. Working together amongst the plumbers- There were 7 different plumbers and two separate managers who were at the condo over the last two weeks and the communication between them was inconsistent. No one seemed to be on the same page. Plumbers
expressed to me confusion about why other plumbers (on the same day)
had done the work they had.

3. Communication with me was abysmal- This was the
most frustrating part of the process for me because there was no
consideration to my time or space. There was no consistent point of
contact throughout the two weeks, and the communication was inconsistent between all parties. With the amount of people of the job, no one took responsibility.

The only bright spot was Walt, the plumber, who by the end was able to fix the leak. He knew what he was doing and able to get the job done.

I want to like Roto-Rooter. However, my experience over the last two weeks made me realize it is my obligation to warn consumers who are shopping for a plumber that Roto Rooter may not be the right company.

Terrible call center hosting. Was told five time during the day a technician would come out and they never showed up. Extremely rude group of people. I even had the same technician tell me that he had told me that there would be a one hour delay which was a lie.

wow they actually told the truth about theparts i need ded they gave me a quote i compared it and it was accurate i thought they were just telling me to get parts i dont neeed like these guys

Be aware of Roto-Rooter Dispatch lies in order to keep their appointment.

They were late an hour and then call me that the plumber should be there any minute. An hour later they call and tell me that the plumber is on his way and should be here in 30 minutes. An hour later, they call and tell me that a driver had been waiting for 45 minutes and could not find the place. Obviously, they cannot keep the appointment and worst of all they do nothing to improve their problem of over-booking or hiring more plumber or whatever and think by lying about it they can solve it. If they could just be truthful about it, I wouldn't be so mad. But, I am disappointed to wait and wait for a phone call and instead notice they are being untruth. This is three hours of our Saturday morning wasted and it is all thanks to Roto-Rooter Service.

I had a wonderful experience with Roto Rooter! I would recommend them to anyone! Our company called them because we have been having an ongoing problem with the flush valve in our guest restroom for TEN YEARS!
Every person I spoke to/dealt with from Roto Rooter was 100% professional, the technician (Larry) was EARLY (not on time, EARLY), professional, very knowledgeable, informative, and kind. Not only did he figure out the problem in less than 30 seconds, but he fixed it and gave his personal recommendation on what he would do if it were his own toilet. He gave us a little discount since it was our first call to them, and it was a wise choice because they will most definitely be getting our business in the future. Keep in mind that it is FREE for them to come out and diagnose the problem (I called Mike Diamond and it was $76.41)and give you an estimate, however the base rate for their plumbing services is $205 if you choose to move forward with them. Personally, it was worth it. I think $205 for someone to fix something that most people can't--do it quickly, efficiently and well-- is reasonable. Thank you, Larry and thank you Roto Rooter! :)

Very bad experience. a minor problem for our kitchen sink, they charged for about $200.
