Kept pushing the time back till they eventually rescheduled to the following weekend. Sent a very nice rep but he was not experienced enough to trouble shoot the problem. The rep called multiple managers and people for assistance and no one answered him. Ended up leaving and putting me on standby for a more experienced rep. Wasted 2 whole days to have 0 answers what the problem is. Didn't even take the toliet off to see if it was a minor fix or a
pipe issue in the wall. Thanks for wasting a Sunday now a Saturday. If its not elementary fix they will waste your entire day and get you no closer to getting your issue resolved. Trash

So i dont like giving bad reviews and in honesty they never
even got to service my house

And thats the issue

My plumbing in kitchen went to poop

Called and got scheduled

So due to arrive tuesday (i forget exact day ) but time was 2-6 ir something

Take off work and the time comes and go

I call and they apologize

Things happen i get it

Reschedule next day 10-2. Ok lets do it again --i understand jobs take a bit but still

And no show -- they did call and offer me 100 dollars off and promised next day i would be the first stop

No call and no show

If i ran my business that way id be out of business

When two men first arrived, they failed to let my husband's caregiver know who they were and just walked directly into the home. After they walked in, that's when it went completely downhill. They were EXTREMELY rude the entire time. Once I got home, they were telling me that they were going to have to seal the toilet which they said would cost 485 dollars!! Just to seal the toilet! Then when I asked if they could just put in the new toilet that I bought, they told me it would be over $550! These prices are outrageous! And on top of it all, they didn't have to seal anything, the bolts were just loose and I had Lance The Handyman come in for 50 dollars! What a sweetheart! As the two men were leaving, they slammed the door and told me to ""get a handyman then"", as basically a big F U. Will not EVER use Roto-Rooter again.

Wife and I hired them because we had standing water in our shower. We were charged $380 for them to cleab out the drain. They failed to do so.

The technician said there was probably soemthing in there he couldn't push through. He did mention that using a high powered vacuum may help and that he had one, but didn't bother trying it. He determined that the water draining a little faster then before meant thst the job was complete. We paid $380 and the problem barely improved.

After he left, we brought in out pool vacuum because when was too lazy to use his and ended up sucking paint chips and a razer head out of the drain he worked on for 15 minutes. Apparently their motto is to suggest ideas but not actually do anything.

It's been three weeks, the standing water never went away, and now we are calling an actual professional in to work on it. For $380 they really don't put much effort into their work. I'll never use them again. Hire less lazy employees.

Had a 2:30 appointment with Tempe Roto Rooter at a house in Tempe, AZ to unclog a main sewer line.

The appointment got bumped to 3:30 , then 4:30, then at 6:15 they call to say I'm ""next"" in queue and that the technician should be there in about an hour !

I was so aggravated , I told them to cancel the job.

So that is the first and last time I'll ever use them - hope you have better luck should you decide to roll the dice.

I have had service with this company 3 times now; once in 1998, once in 2010, and yesterday, March 18, 2014. In 1998, I kept the receipt, and wrote on it, ""Use this company again.""

In 2010, I couldn't find the receipt at first, and called a different ""Rooter"" company. They came out, but had no idea what they were talking about. They refused to believe where our drains were, and wanted to do something ridiculous, for a couple of hundred dollars. I declined, and I finally found the found the receipt from this company, that I saved from many years ago. Roto-Rooter came right out, and fixed the problem.

I've been having drain problems again, but this time, it's the main drain. I decided not to call Roto-Rooter, because of the bad reviews I read. I researched plumbers, and found what I thought was the best. I called them, and my husband took time off work to meet them at the house, and they never showed up - so I took the time ro research another plumber. I found ANOTHER one who has nothing but positive results for years now. I called him, made an appointment, and, again, he never showed up, and never even called to cancel, or reschedule.

So, despite the bad reviews I had read, I gave up and called Roto-Rooter. They were friendly, told me about coupons on their site, told me approximately when someone would be at our house, and called when the plumber was on his way. I called them at 9am, and Andre was at our house by 1pm.

He was very courteous, knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. He listened to what I had to say, and took plenty of time to check out the problem and solution with a neighbor who had recently had the same problem, since our houses are built the same.

Was it cheap? No. It was in the low $300s. Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY. And, will I be calling Roto-Rooter again if necessary? Definitely, and I'll be asking for Andre.

Terrible prices. Terrible customer service.

Almost $400 for a standard main drain snake. Almost $200 for any other drains.

All of my sinks, showers and toilets were backed up. I had them snake the main drain. Solved my problem. Less than two weeks later my two bathroom sinks are backing up again. I call them, they show up over 2 hours late and tell me it will be another $200 because its a separate drain. Why didn't they tell me this may be an issue the first time they were supposed to fix ALL of the drains. Called customer service and manager was supposed to call me an never did, so I called back the next day. Did not hear back until a day after that (my sinks are sitting there clogged the whole time and I can't use them) Finally I get a call from GREG. He tried to talk over me, was rude and gave me the run around to try and shut me up. I told him I am a new homeowner and have lived in my house for just over a year and they just lost a customer for life. He did not seem to care or want to address the problem.

Go with a small plumbing company they will charge you 1/4 of the price.

Also, instead of nasty Drain-O, go natural and pour dry banking soda down the problem sink, then vinegar and cover the hole, it will force the mixture down the pipe. 20-30 min after that pour a gallon of boiling water down the sink. Repeat this several times on big problem drains. Works like a freaking charm. Didn't believe it until I did it.

Had to call Roto Rooter (note to self- don't leave the 2 year old in the bathroom with baby wipes while being potty trained.) They were very quick on getting to my home. Took about 1 hour from the time I called, and they were 15 minutes earlier than expected.

The guy was fairly friendly. Obviously hadn't had his coffee yet though. But, if it was my job to handle peoples feces all day I wouldn't be very chipper either.

All in all, the job was done well. It only took him about 45 minutes to find the problem and clear the drains. He did leave a pretty big mess for me to clean up. I would have added at least 1 more star had I not had to clean up after the kid, the backed up drains, and him.

Ended up paying $230 for the job. Hope I wont need plumbing services again for a while, but next time I'll check with yelp 1st to see if there is a better plumbing company out there.
