Our plumber Daniel was friendly, quick and so knowledgeable. We had a clogged sink drain since we bought our place a year ago and finally got around to calling about it. Not only did Daniel fix it within minutes, he also offered a free estimate for moving our washer/dryer. I didn't realize roto rooter did more than drains!

I had a sewer line clog and had raw sewage running up my shower. I called Roto Rooter and they came out the same day. The lady on the phone made sure to let me know that the consultation would be free. The person ""Juan"" showed up and he was very nice and seemed very trust-worthy. I showed him my septic system and in 30 seconds he had diagnosed the problem that I needed to dig up my septic system and insert an new service contact so they can service the tank. He said the tank was never serviced since the house was built and that I had no option but to pay $5000 to dig up my septic system and make his recommended changes. I was distressed and this news freaked me out because I don't have that kind of money. He told me I was between a rock and a hard place. He told me all types of things that could go wrong with other companies. I proceeded to call another company, they came out the next day first thing and with a snake they fixed the problem in 10 minutes and it cost $225 dollars. Juan said there were no other options to get my plumbing working. That was a complete lie. There were other things like going through the roof access point that Roto could have done that the second company would have done if the first strategy didn't work. Roto just wanted me to pay for the most expensive option without trying the low hanging fruit easy fixes. Lastly CA state law requires all houses sold to get septic systems serviced. I bought my house a little over a year ago. Juan said my septic system was never serviced, which would be against the law and is a lie. I clearly didn't know much about plumbing and they tried to take advantage of a desperate situation. They clearly have ""Free"" consultations b/c if they charged for that kind of misleading advice, they woulds get sued. I want other people to know how unethical Roto Rooter is. Juan really seemed honest and he was boldly lying to me the whole time.

Best response time and phone service in the business. They are the A TEAM of plumbing. Do they cost more? Yes, but if you think long term and like to have the peace of mind of knowing their work is under warranty and will be assessed and done right the first time you will save money in the long run. Highly recommended if fast response and top quality is your main concern.

My husband dropped my father's 100 year old diamond ring down the shower drain. Jonathan worked hard to get it out and didn't give up. I am so grateful. It was not easy. Thank you Jonathan!!!

Technician Oscar Rodriguez came out on Sunday morning and helped us with backed up kitchen sink. Did great work and education on preventive maintenance on our disposal and kitchen sinks.

ELDER ABUSE ALERT: My 90 year old father called for a backed up toilet... one week later, he was presented a bill for $4000 for one cleanout install and a drain hydro flush. My father has cognitive dementia and paid the bill without any idea what he was paying for. I called and spoke with Jerry, told him my father is not in charge of his finances and he said he has ""forwarded the account"" to his Manager, Roger, for investigation.
I have received no contact from them. I am filing with California Better Business Bureau and if you use these guys, don't say your were not warned. Buyer beware....

Outrageously Overpriced by 300% Vers Competitors. Shop Around!

No one called or showed up for the appointment. I call the the 800 customer number, on hold 5 minutes.
They did come out 1:30 mins later. *Very professional courteous technician. Calls his manager for estimate price. It's more than 3 times higher compared to a advertised competitive Plumber.

Quickly responded to a clogged drain call. Clearly explained what he was going to do and offered alternatives but let us make our choice without pressure. Wore shoe coverings, used the side gate to avoid coming through the hpuse. Very professional service, pleasant person.

Our kitchen faucet has been going for a bit now... this morning I went in to use it... & that was it... no more...so I called my old buddies Roto-Rooter!! They sent me an angel named Joe T!! This guy came in ... cleaned out my puzzle of a sink... then found me a very affordable touch less faucet... hubby went to pick it up & joe started... he finally finished.. & it's gorgeous!! Hip hip hooray Joe!!! I'd recommend joe to anyone who needs anything fixed!!
