I wish to share my difficult experience with Roto Rooter of North Little Rock, Arkansas.
What I do know: In September, the Roto Rooter technician came to our Conway home. We paid $647 (cash) to this technician. No receipt was provided at the time of payment. I also know that, beginning 20 September, I have called them 12 times asking for specific information about the bill.
What I do NOT know and what I need:
1. The exact hourly rate that was charged to me and what that hourly rate included (e.g. did this hourly rate include lunch, invoice creation, phone, shopping, counting our money, overhead, etc.)

2. Cost breakdown for parts--what parts were actually installed/replaced; where parts were purchased; what Roto Rooter paid; what Roto Rooter charged.

I need to know where the stated parts used were purchased and for what price. I need to know exactly what these ""parts"" were.

On 20 September, I was told by the technician that three of our outdoor faucets needed replacement kits. Our faucets require the Woodford Hydrant Repair Kit Model 17 (I checked our outside faucets by using a magnifying glass. We have the Woodford Hydrant Model 17). If the repair kits were used as stated, then huge overcharging has occurred.

I investigated the RETAIL cost of these kits (Win Supply in Conway, Home Depot, Amazon, Menards, etc. and the range for these kits is between $17.78 and $28 with an average RETAIL cost of $23.71. The stated charge for parts, according to three Roto Rooter staff members was $248.08 (I still have nothing in writing identifying any of the cost breakdowns.) If in fact the ""parts"" were the vacuum repair kits then the retail cost of the vacuum repair kit for my faucet is just $3.

Unfortunately, there is no way to verify what was actually used and what work was actually performed because, without my permission, the stated ""damaged"" parts were removed from our property and confiscated. I requested return of my property and was told, ""No."" and that I needed to have specifically requested return of my own property, at the time of service.

This confiscation procedure clearly represents the dishonest practice of grossly overcharging for parts as well as the obvious ease in charging for parts that were never used.

After multiple and desperate attempts (I have a complete list of all the calls I made, all the messages I left, all the times I was placed on hold - we're at 12 and counting), the continued and repeated answer to my pleas for help in understanding the honest and upfront billing breakdown, was NO, NO, NO, NO, and NO.

My request for the name of the technician was refused.

Customers NEED to know exactly what they are paying for.

No signature EVER eliminates or even reduces Roto Rooter's responsibility for legal, fair, honest, and ethical business practices. Personal property cannot legally be removed from private property without expressed permission to do so.

Thank you for the opportunity to share with you my experiences with Roto Rooter of North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Our pipes have been gurgling and bathtub/sinks have not been draining properly since all the recent rain. The plumber showed up and used a snake and water jet sprayer on our clean out pipe. He said he got it partially cleared then turned around and said the sewer pipe must be collapsed. He gave us a quote for $7000 then charged us $650. The drains are still not draining so he did nothing. How can you charge so much and do absolutely nothing?? What a rip-off.

Their service was great! Used them twice and each time, the plumber that came out was knowledgeable and very helpful. They even explained what they had done and what the issue had been. I'll always rely on them for all my plumbing needs

I received great service, on time and I was well informed of my options to replace my garbage disposal. Price was very reasonable and I was explained tips to prolong the life of my disposal as well. I will use them for any future service I may need.

Justin from Sherwood shop was quick, professional and did a great job. He listened to my requests and did the job exactly as I had hoped. Installed new faucet, new valves, and relocated valves to be more accessible. I couldn't have asked for a better job.

They came out quick. Very friendly, made sure I understood what they were doing, and fixed the problem fast. The gentleman was also nice enough to let me know what I could do to help prevent the same thing from occurring in the future.

I called Roto Rooter @501-562-6600 this # belongs to the 21 collins industrial pl, address.
I was physically assaulted by their plumber. I did not agree with their plumber's recommendation to pull the upstairs toilet to unclog the main line instead of using the clean out valve. He refused to leave when I asked him to do so and became violent when told I would call the police. I had to call the police and seek medical help due to his assault. I had contusions to my knees, shoulder, hand, leg and wrist. The manager was unhelpful and the plumber still works for him. I am not a violent person, I don't even use curse words but he became violent so quickly that it shocked me. Please take this warning seriously.
After the police and doctor's visit. I did contact another service and he took care of the clog at the clean out valve, no problems.
There should be negative stars. Please do not use this company.

I called Roto-Rooter on a Saturday because I could not find a local plumber on that day. We had water back up and needed a plumber ASAP. They came quickly, however they were overpriced and there was no guarantee on their work.
