I had a bad leak in my ceiling that needed fixing. Jay was very polite and fixed the leak within an hour as quoted. The price seemed a little steep $550 but overall it was a good experience. Really nice guy. The repair comes with a one year warranty also.

This guy showed up right on time. He explained my problem and was very helpful. He did not rush me into anything and we decided to wait for a while to see the problem comes back. I previously paid a non professional plumber from Angie's List to fix my problem and it was a waste of money. I am very happy at this time.

I joined Yelp specifically to write this review. Do not use Roto Rooter. Their prices are horrific. After showering in the morning I couldn't get the shower to turn off; The handle was not working. I turned off the water to the home and called the first """"emergency"""" plumber I found online as it was 7:30AM. The plumber came out about 2 hours later (which was within the time frame they gave me) and was not friendly at all. Like someone else said; not a requirement but would have been nice. The most shocking and angering part of the experience was the price. He took apart the handle (which he said was a Kohler but I was later told by a professional that it is a Moen-which you can see on the inside of the handle) and found that there was a small crack in a plastic piece he said cost $10. He said though, that the piece is hard to find. He quoted me $370 to get this piece and fix it. $200 if I got the piece myself. I couldn't imagine paying that so I went to Ferguson's, they ordered the part for me and shipped it overnight for under $6 total. It came with the little .50 cent tool needed and I fixed the handle in 5 minutes for less than $6; as opposed to $370. Their pricing is a total scam and quite frankly it felt like he was trying to rip me off.

Roto-rooter was the only company that was able to get a plumber out to me on the same day, so that was good. However, the tech was not very personable (not really a requirement, but nice to have) and the price seemed outrageous. However, we had a great experience earlier in the day with a restoration services guy who worked with roto-rooter, and he had helped us to figure out what we needed to do to fix things. However, he didn't recommend filing an insurance claim, and apparently in the company's eyes he should have, which is dumb. I really, really appreciated the help that he gave us, and the fact that he saved us literally thousands of dollars. Then the plumber who came out called the awesome guys boss and tried to get the awesome guy in trouble. Personally, I will avoid Roto-rooter in the future, but if you have an emergency and these are the only guys that can come out, they will get the job done, but it's going to cost an arm and a leg.

If you want to be ripped off this is the place to go!!! I spoke to several plumbers after the repair was finished and I paid 2x more than the going rate AFTER the $40.00 coupon. One plumber suggested I call the local news immediately. It literally took one minute to fix if not less. What kind of scam is this!? I contacted management immediately, I haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully, someone contacts me soon !!! UPDATE 12/31/15 Spoke to management, the company stood by their outrageous prices. Just to let the public know, they charge $229.00 to auger a toilet PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH. Other plumbing companies that returned my phone call offered a cost of $75.00. More like 3x the going rate. STAY AWAY!!!!

John seriously came in and saved the day. My overall experience with Roto Rooter was awful. The nightmare began at 2pm Tuesday December 23rd and dragged through 2pm December 24th. The first tech was here 6 hours and finally said it was a city water issue. So called out the county water guy just for him to say the main lines were fine and it was in the line from house to street. Now it is 1130 at night, the second Roto rooter guy comes out. He too could not fix, but assured me the guy who can, will be out first thing in the morning. To try try to make an excruciating story shorter, after being told by the supposed guy who could fix it that he's off for the next 2 day, John rode in on his white horse to save the day. The women who deal with the phone calls and appointments are rude, condescending and VERY unprofessional. Unless you can be guaranteed your guy is going to be John, I completely advised NOT to call Roto rooter.

We had three toilets replaced by Roto-Rooter, and the experience was very efficient. In addition, I had to obtain a detailed receipt for the toilets themselves in order to obtain a rebate from Cobb County Water & Joanne in the Atlanta office was extremely helpful in this regard. I always call Roto-Rooter for my plumbing needs!

Smoke-laden technician shows up to do a service call on a clogged shower drain. Takes one look at the new bathroom renovation and then quotes a price of $365 to unclog it. Brings out a small snake which hits a clog, but cannot clear it. Tech starts huffing and grunting rather annoyingly (the first thought crossing my mind is that he is irritated because what he hoped was going to be 5-10 minutes will turn out to take more time). Tech goes back out to truck to bring in a motorized snake (smacks my banister with the motor on his way up -- no apologies or acknowledgement of doing so other than another grunt -- will need to mend it later). After another 10 minutes with motorized snake and another 5 minutes of water running, the drain is now deemed clear. Yes, the tech did the job, but I would not recommend or use Roto-Rooter again. They may have the advertising down, but they are WAY OVERPRICED -- Homeadvisor.com indicates the average price in my area should be around $225 to clear a clogged drain. I found the technician to not be very professional in appearance (smoke-laden clothes), in attitude (grunts/huffs when not a quick job), in quoting job (waiting til after seeing the new bathroom reno), and in not acknowledging, apologizing, or even taking the time to look at the damage done after hitting the banister (I watched as he brought the device into the house, smack the banister, and then continue up the stairs).

While initially I thought I was happy with the prompt service, quick fix and affordability, I wish now I had taken my business elsewhere. A main ground leak we thought they fixed three months ago reappeared this week. When we called them again, they did send out a technician who was floored by the shoddy work done by the initial technician, saying """" you would never fix a pipe this way!"""" The second repair was free, but we want a credit for the high water bill the past three months for the job they Didn't fix the first go around!

$299 for a clogged garbage disposal that he spent less then 10 minutes """"repairing""""!! I would NEVER EVER recommend using Roto-Rooter for any plumbing needs. Worst business ethics and severe price gouging that I've ever encountered.
