Our tenant in our duplex, had a back up in her kitchen sink. Because it was a weekend we called Roto Rooter and they came quickly. The technicians were friendly and responsive, However, after spending $1800 on snaking, enzyme treatment and Hydro cleaning we continued to have problems with sewer backup. In the end, the problem was diagnosed as an offset from the City's lower lateral. Roto Rooter bid thousands of dollars more than another local contractor for the offset repair.

This meant that we spent $1800 for no solution to our ultimate sewer problem. All we got for our money was temporary flow followed by repeat sewer backups until we hired another licensed contractor to fix the problem.

We had a major plumbing problem arise suddenly. Called Roto-Rooter, and they came out immediately. Ryan was the tech we worked with. He couldn't have been more courteous and professional. With his equally professional colleague, Clyde, they scoped the problem out and determined that there was a blockage in our aging system. With help from his crew, Ryan dug out and replaced our ""clean-out"" at the front of the house and then replaced all the dirt, mulch, and rocks that had been disturbed. We could not have been happier with the service.

I called because of a clogged shower drain I was first quoted $300 a hour minimum plus $125 service call. I complained that I was getting ripped off and being gouged. They dropped the service call $125 and ended up costing $300. Roto-Rooter don't have a price schedule the plumber that comes to the door makes it up when they arrive. I found this out while trying to get a rough estimate over the phone. The job took about 15 minutes. Since I paid for 1 hour I asked them to run the snake. Down my main line and they refused saying that would be a separate service call. I would highly recommend that you DO NOT USE ROTO-ROOTER

My water heater was leaking so Roto Rooter sent two guys out. First, they turned off my water main and broke the knob off. Then, gave me an outrageous quote to replace the water heater and corrisponding plumbing. I told them I was no way going to pay that price and reminded them they need to fix the broken pipe. They goofed around while Jimmy rigging the pipe and left with it leaking. I phoned Roto Rooter twice asking that they come back out to fix the leak but, no one ever showed up. I ended it up fixing it myself.

Do not use Davis Roto Rooter! They charged us $1300 and did nothing. They said they would come back and they never did. We paid for a video never saw it or heard about it. RUN FROM THEM AS FAST AS YOU CAN! We called Halls Plumbing they were FANTASTIC!!! They fixed our plumbing. Took a video, showed it to us and explained it to us. We will only use Halls Plumbing from now on!

They came out and were nice enough. They quoted me 4 times what it cost from a local business- Lateral Cleaning. They snaked my drain, which didn't help at all for the same cost that the other company completely resolved our issue. I understand that bigger companies have more overhead but they were not helpful and I still spent several hundred dollars without any resolution.
