There for us because of flood waters in our crawl space.
Other than miscommunication in the beginning, they made up for it with Courteous and Professional Employees.

Great job with Roto Rooter! We needed HELP bathroom tub faucet and fixtures. No hot water coming to of the bathtub faucet so we had all new faucet work installed and it looks beautiful. Next day service. Keith was our installer and was very personable and gave us a great explanation of what had to be done and why. I highly recommend their service!

I have worked with literally dozens and dozens of plumbers over the years that I managed large properties in the Bay Area. I moved to Elk Grove two years ago, and purchased a house. Today we developed a leak in the waterline that connects to the refrigerator for the ice machine. There were two small pinhole leaks in the line itself.

Since it was late in the day, and a simple repair I decided to call Rotorooter just to get it done. I spoke to Dawn at the company and the very first question I was asked was whether anyone in the house had symptoms of Covid.

I explained that we had been home bound since last February as someone in the house is elderly with a respiratory illness and we had to be very careful. I asked if her plumbers were tested, and she said yes. She shared her Mother-In-Law had just passed from Covid, and she understood. She took extra time to let me know she was making a note that the technician must wear a mask, glove and boots.

When Joshua arrived it was without mask, without gloves, and without boots. I asked about his last test and he informed me he had never had one. He then proceeded to check my leak, and informed me he couldn't fix it and was unable to shut the water off to it. Huh? It's a standard waterline. He did attempt to get on the floor and turn the off valve but was unable to complete that mission, and he couldn't get down on the floor, and was wheezing (sans mask) at the time.

At that point I said that's enough.

The first technician was great. Put in a clean out and unclogged the pipes. Price was very high for the job done but that's not on him, it's the company. Was told another person would be out to do a complimentary visual scope to make sure everything was good. Never showed never called. Have a call in to the manager. No response so far. I will never use them again

Carl with Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Restoration visited my home this morning to address a leaking pipe. He arrived within 2 hours of making the phone call. He quickly found the problem, explained how my husband could do the repairs himself and charged me $0. I was very impressed with his knowledge and customer service skills.

Company did not disclose extra cost of plumbing repair and told us it was our fault that we didn't ask. Apparently we all are supposed to be experts and know the cost of plumbing issues? Manager was rude and did not understand that all employees should be on the same page and disclose information to their customer. Guess it is too hard to train your technician to tell the customer about extra charges so they can make the right decision.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Made an appointment with them-seemed as friendly as a pluming service could be. NEVER SHOWED UP. NEVER CALLED. NO TEXT. STRAIGHT GHOSTED. These people were worst than my water heater that needed replacing. Save your time and money and don't hit these guys up. 10/10 would not recommend. It's been hours since they were supposed to be here and I hope they show up eventually and they can see these new people who came and saved the day so i can stick me tongue out at them. They have a good jingle though-10/10 jingle I can't deny.

I was severely overcharged by this company for an evening kitchen drain clean out. I was charged $79 for an evening call in addition to the upcharge of $125 to the already overcharge of $250 kitchen drain cleaning. I was pretty desperate that evening when I agreed to the estimated and just didn't have the time to research and figured a reputable company that should be fairy priced but boy was I wrong. I paid almost 100% more than I could have with all other plumbing companies. The average cost for a kitchen drain clean out was $135 and even if I double that for an evening visit, that only $270 compared to the $450 I paid. The service was good but the pricing is out of this world and by no way competitive so do you research before hiring this company.

DO NOT - I REPEAT - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We called over the weekend because we had an issue with our tub draining slow and also a strange sewage smell. They showed up at about 3pm, when they were originally scheduled for between 9-11. No courtesy call until past 11. Showed up, went under the house for .5 seconds and then called his manager. Manager came by went underneath the house and then sat my husband and myself down. Explained there was sewage from the kitchen line draining under the house so more than likely there was a disconnection somewhere between the kitchen drain and the main sewer. Said he wouldn't know for sure until the sewage was cleaned up which would require their restoration crew - which he estimated to cost about $3500 in just the clean up, not the repair! Talk about scaring the crap out of us! Manger was a real friendly, smooth talkin guy. Your typical salesman, I get it, gotta make a living somehow. So they schedule to come the next day to have the restoration crew take a look and give a better estimate- 3500 turned into 800. Better, but still a lot! Then the manager and his partner ran a Camera threw our pipes, and concluded that we basically needed to repipe the entire house. Forget about that small leak, let's fix everything that ain't broken! Grand total estimate came to $8500 plus the $800 clean up! My husband and I are new homeowners and vets, they said they gave us a discount for both. Discount, where? Anyway. Of course my husband and I said we'd discuss it. Called a family plumber in LA, explained the situation and he refused to let us move forward with it. He told my husband to get more estimates and to also get under the house and look at it himself. That's exactly what we did, two other plumbers said easy fix for $50-100 and they'll snake our tub for free, husband went under the house and reconnected the kitchen line - voila- no more leak. Going to Home Depot to get a snake for our tub! Don't do it people!!!!!!

Oh and purchased some kitty litter to pour over the sewage drainage that was under the house, cleared that right up! There's a pic of our PROBLEM! I'm posting on all Roto rooter in the Sacramento area seems like they do this extreme upselling to all customers

We scheduled an appointment with this company and we were told a technician would be out between 8am-12pm. I took the morning off of work to be home for the service call. I called at 10:30 to got an ETA and was then told between 10-2pm. We got a phone call at 3:30 from the technician asking if we still wanted service and said he would be 30 minutes out. He arrived at 4:15 and made a huge deal about not being able to turn his truck around because our street is a dead end and he would have to back it up when he was done. He wouldn't be able to lift the snake up a one foot ledge into the front yard and when I offered to help to get it into the yard, he declined any help. We asked if he could get another technician to help lift the snake due to liability issues and then he proceeded to quote $275 just to move the snake to the clean out in front of the house without the video camera component or guarantee that the clog would be resolved. We have a four inch two-Way cleanout right at the front door and is easy to access. His overall attitude was that of someone who was tired and didn't want to be here to help us. I took the day off of work and now have to loose two days of pay to have a competitor come out tomorrow morning. A simple issue is now a much larger problem for us due to his attitude and customer service. We contacted the customer service number and told them our experience, as well. We will not be recommending their services in the future.
