A wholly horrible experience! A price was quoted and after work began the price skyrocketed in part due to issues the technician simply ignored before beginning work! I had to put a stop to their drain cleaning effort, which had failed because the jetting nozzle couldn't negotiate any bend in the pipe being cleaned. Having achieved nothing of my original request (to remove a clog). They insisted on full payment! Under threat of legal action I was forced to pay for a service that their recommended equipment couldn't/ didn't execute. As a homeowner it is a terrible feeling to be STEAMROLLED by a company and be forced to pay $800.00+ for an incomplete service that provided no value. From my perspective, the company expressed no concern about customer satisfaction the priority was just bully a homeowner in to paying.

I called them on 5/15/2019 and asked them if they had a 150 ft auger and they said yes but when the technician got here he said he didn't have one and they could water jet the system for $900.00. After complaining to the owner he discounted it to $756.70 and it took them less than 30 minutes to do. Needless to say here it is less than 60 days later I am having the same issue and I called and the lady that answered the phone said that there is only a 30 day warranty. Damn I am in the wrong business. Never will I use them again.

They were nice friendly guys who pumped our septic. had to bring in a backhoe to dig down 2.5 feet to the lid of it, and that was a bit expensive ($275 on top of the $350 to pump it) and not something they had to do last time (new policy about no longer digging anything more than 18"" down by hand, they said), but they were careful not to tear up our lawn with the backhoe and they put in a riser so the lid will now be closer to the surface (I had to pay for the riser, too, went and got that myself, on their recommendation: they said it would be less expensive than if they got it for me). So although the whole job was more expensive than what we were expecting, they did try to save us money in the long run (won't need a back hoe again each time anymore) and they were very friendly and easy to work with. They also saved us money in that the first guy who gave me a quote on the job forgot to include the labor on the backhoe work (so said the second two guys who came out to actually do the work), and they honored that first quote rather than charging me for the labor. I appreciated that.

Service was performed and disposal was fixed, but charge was $324. My mom and my aunt live on a fixed income and the guy was only there 30-60 minutes (they say 30, he says 60), all labor, no parts. Cleaned out the auger and snaked the drain. There was a $62 surcharge because it was on a Sunday (I understand this) but there is no way it should cost $262 just for the labor. Paying for the name, I guess. They were only given an estimate for the extra charge for the Sunday visit, not for the job (they charge by the job, not by the hour). They could have bought a new disposal for that price.

My experience with Roto-Rooter in Ruckersville was excellent at each step along the way. The lady who handled the appointment was courteous and very helpful right from the start. When the appointment was scheduled, the plumber was on time and did a great job. He was professional and he further explained details about the job, what was needed and how it would be addressed. I'm very happy with them and certainly call them again.
