My family of four have used Roto-Rooter for our last 5 plumbing issues (living in an old home, plumbing is a constant battle). We've had them fix broken sprinkler system, install new garbage disposal, fix an issue with the hot water heater, fix a badly broken toilet and clear a badly stopped sink drain. The office is extremely prompt, helpful and friendly when making appointments.
Prices are standard/fair and the plumbing technicians have always been knowledgeable, very warm/friendly and explained their process every step of the way and what the costs will be. I cannot say the same for other popular plumbing companies in Tyler that we have used and been disappointed with. I like Roto-Rooter and will continue to use them.

Response time was amazing. Technician was professional, polite and knowledgeable. Technician checked in the office upon arrival and when job was completed informed me of the problem and presented me with a very reasonable bill with suggestions of preventive measures for possibly costly problems in the future. Roto-Rooter came to my house to fix a stoppage in my plumbing pipes. Bill showed up at almost 7pm (they take calls 24/7 & don't charge more on weekends OR holidays), took a look at the issue, & gave me a quote before fixing anything. Being the quote was very reasonable, I gave him the go ahead to fix it. Not only was Bill very pleasant and extremely efficient, he stayed to make sure the stoppage was fixed by running the cable through the pipes one last time. I had a wonderful experience and I highly recommend their services.

Came same day as called. Fixed our problem quickly. We did not ask for price of a service call in advance, and price seemed a little high, but probably in line with this type of service. Completely satisfied with the service.

I had a local plumber try to diagnose my problem, but he couldn't. Roto-Rooter came out the same day I called, and the plumber diagnosed my problem within five minutes. The plumber was courteous and conscientious. The service call was normal for plumbers, but the diagnostic fee was steep. That is why I'm giving them only four stars.

I was very happy with the service man who came to my home. He fixed my drain issue and he also offered to fixed my garbage r at a reduced rate. I have been waiting for months to have that fixed as well. He was so polite.

Recently I has a sewer drain get stopped up. Roto Rooter was the only plumber to not charge a fee just to come out. Then they didn't charge by the line.

But the main reason I prefer roto rooter is because they are a corporation with set prices. Instead of the local plumber that charges me what he thinks he can get out of me, I always know I'm getting a reasonable price.

Root-rooter will not quote pricing until they are on site - I guess they hope to beat you down when you are in need of help.
Absolutely the worst customer service policy ever!
Do not waste your time! The price for installing a dishwasher (once they got here) was more than the price of the dishwasher. Of course I sent them away.
This policy will drive them out of business.
