Last week our 1987 hot water heater finally died. I was lucky to get their service man Nathaniel. So upbeat, kind and informative
Your lucky ty o have him

Unprofessional and disrespectful. Beware of a guy named Jake he is the worst. Glad I got a second opinion. He was so busy kissing my dad's butt that' he didn't listen to anything I said. He kept sending me out of my own bathroom to go check downstairs for leaks and didn't bother to communicate with me. Even worse he convinced my dad to buy a toilet auger and just watch a YouTube video.

I had a hot water heater that was acting up so I called RR to come to my residence for a service call. I wanted to get a professional's opinion on what the issues were and hoped to use the service call to explore my options; either have RR fix any parts that were causing the hot water heater to not function 100% properly or replace it entirely.
Of course and as expected, RR recommended that I replace my entire home. Well, the hot water heater at least. So after requesting an estimate, the service-man quoted the cost at almost 2,200$. So it was then that I shat my pants and paid for the service and sent him on his way to pray elsewhere.
Visit to Home Depot within the same hour; purchased a hot water heater (same model), drip pan, and plumbers tape with a total cost of under 500$. Two hours later I was successful at replacing the hot water heater. It pumped hot water to my home as it should with zero issued and all things were back to normal.
I would have considered using RR if they were not trying to rob me blind. There is no way anyone, independent or business should charge over 2k$ to replace a water heater. It is criminal and these people take advantage of us and our community. I do have the money to cover the cost but not willing to throw money at people who are monetary predators. No reason for anyone to pay 1,700$ more than it would cost for one to do it themselves, unsatisfactory!
Now I understand that not everyone is willing to tackle on a diy project like this however, if the service fee was reasonable (1200$ or so), I would have more than likely paid RR to do the job. But with a 400% markup, it is simply criminal in my opinion.
My advice, get smart on projects you are comfortable doing yourself or find a certified handy person that isn't trying to take advantage of ignorance. Trust me, there are hundreds of hard working people in CENTEX that are honest, need work, and have the certifications to do work in our community and for it's people.

I called on Monday for them to fix a sewage blockage that started to back up into our front yard. They snaked it and cleared the blockage, but they said they would come back to use a camera to check to see if the blockage was cleared. They never came back to tell me that the pipes was cracked. They didn't clear the area or notify me that the pipe was cracked and the top cap was no where to be found.
In the end, my husband is going with someone else to fix the cracked pipe. To anyone, please double check what they will be doing.
