BEWARE!! Roto Rooter came to repair bathroom sink and bath tub leaky faucets. The technician took 2 hours to replace 4 cartridges then billed my wife almost $700 for the repairs. She was according to Roto Rooter policy suppose to receive an estimate for the repair and sign the agreement before work could be started. IT WAS NOT PROVIDED. To make matters worse, the leak was better but not fixed. A second technician was sent and he performed the same job in 15 minutes versus 2 hours. (I would estimate the job to cost maybe $200 versus $700) I spoke to the manager who was indifferent to my concerns. He sarcastically said it was my wife's fault for accepting and signing the estimate! I was unaware of whether my wife was given an estimate and could not counter. He also asked my why I didn't fix the faucets myself when I commented at being able to perform similar repairs in 30 minutes. To which I responded I called Roto Rooter because I was not successful repairing the faucets myself. Roto Rooter is suppose to be the professionals. He gave a $100 credit which still left me with a bill of about $600!! I felt cheated and was lied to. I would not do business with this company, Buyer Beware!

As all the service calls are routed out of Chicago, this location is probably irrelevant to the review, but it is closest to my apartment so here goes. As they are centrally dispatched, I actually got a live person at 6:30 in the morning. Even though it was the Monday after New Years, they were able to schedule service, albeit with a 4 hour window (8:00 to 12:00). At 8:15, I received a call to let me know the plumber was in route. JP arrived at 8:30, and got to work. Very professional and courteous, my job was done within a couple of hours, and cleaned up. Somewhat expensive, but you have to keep in mind this is a national chain with higher overhead. I would totally use them again.

I called rotor-rooter on Friday at 1230pm and was routed to Rotor's central office who did schedule appt. to just install a toilet and said it was wide open and tech would be available within an hour, I was like cool. 15 min. later I received a call from a local rotor rooter rep who said they where backed up and unable to come out that day and would be able to come out on Saturday morning, I was like no because I would be unavailable, female named Marilyn said she was going to then cancel my appt.. I asked if there was another rotor franchise on Oahu and she said no. I then called central office again and asked if there was another tech from another office that would be able to come out and he asked why I cancelled, I explained to him that Marilyn stated they where backed up and unable to come out till the next morning which would have not worked for me. Male said he did not understand because they where no scheduled appointments on his side of what he sees, he then stated he will schedule me in again AND within an hour I would receive a call. Great!! 10 min later I received a call from Marilyn again who said tech would be at my home within an hour. 2 minutes later I receive a call from Marilyn who said her tech was having car problems and unsure when he would be able to be at my house and would call me back. I receive another call from the Tech himself who goes ok so you just need to install the toilet, I was like yes, he replies with one cocky attitude and said ""well going cost 420.00 dollars for install"", I was like ""What"" I told him no way and was so pist off that I told him never mind and hung up. Wish I told him I know Friday but damn no need d*&k me around, geez. Which ever office Marilyn and her tech at I would not recommend for service. I did find another plumber who came out at 7pm, installed the toilet and charged me only 120.00 dollars, guy was super friendly, PROFFESSIONAL and service was quick, not more then a half hour.

Very bad experience don't call these people first of all the operator doesn't sound friendly .. I called the night before and made an appointment for the next day which was set between 8am to 10am that time came and gone I called them and the operator put me on hold to transfer me for 5 minutes then a guy came on the phone saying he has no one avalible totally wasted my morning wating for them .. I told the guy thank you and hung up .. Please look elsewhere for your plumbing needs the service this company has is terrible.

This place is very shaddy and deceitful! I had a slow leak from the faucet in my bathtub and also the faucet on my sink needed to be replaced. I called Roto Rooter and they told me they will send someone out to give an estimate for free. Long story short the estimate I was quoted was $400 something, which in my opinion was extremely high already, but I decided to go ahead with it, the guy took longer than he told me he would. He kept going back to his van. Then after the service was done he went back to his van, spent a good 20min came back and charged me $700 dollars to replace a cartridge for my shower and replace a sink faucet...RIDICULOUS!!!
