Great plumbers, reasonable charges and speedy service - always my go to for my plumbing needs.

Encountered an extremly rude person who claims to be the office manger of this establishment. I can't believe these people are still in business. It's only a matter of time, they will get what they deserve for treating customers who give them one star, less if possible, for thinking they are all that. You reap what you sow.

In August 2023, out of the blue,I received a telephone call from Matthew, who identified himself as the owner of Roto Rooter. I was requested by he to call the Better Business Bureau and undo a complaint that BBB had placed against him. I was not the one at fault but I did make a call to BBB on his behalf much to my regret. A complaint needs to be placed against this company as my experience with them in regards to this was to encounter hostility, disrespect and threats. After having called BBB on Matthew's behalf, I made a call back to Roto Rooter to tell them the outcome of my call (which was not necessary by me), however out of respect for another human being, I made the call and in trying to explain the result, I was met with one disrespecting, completely rude, and extremely hostile female that identified herself as being co owner of Roto Rooter and Matthew's partner. This person immediately extended nothing but hostility at me and told me she was calling their attorney I am assuming to apply charges toward me, and I ask for what. I DID NOT DO ANY WRONG TOWARD ROTO ROOTER. YET Matthew and his partner chose to implement me. All they had to do themselves was to call BBB and straightened it out with them. It did not require them involving me at all, yet they chose to do this. I am elderly, bedridden with many health issues and am with Hospice. I am not a threat to anyone. So, I perceive this company and its employees to be sorry individuals. I have had several persons in the city of Gainesville to state they are not a plumbing company to hire. They do shoddy work. I agree with this and now having encountered the owners, who are nothing but two uncaring, disrespectful, rude persons. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. Their employees have the same attitude. WE DON""""T CARE. Thus, to the public: BEWARE. Hire another plumber who will treat you right, not overprice, and do right by your plumbing needs. BEWARE!

I found Roto Router via Angi. The speed they reached out and how quickly the tech arrived impressed me but that is where the good things end. When the tech arrived, he wouldn't listen to what I was trying to tell him about the leaking pipe. Then he walked around for 30 minutes doing nothing. It wasn't until the team sent over from the insurance told the guy the issue that he listened. After finally paying attention to someone he fixed the issue in 5 minutes, There is still some leakage under the house that he said would stop but 3 days later it is still leaking. To be honest, I paid way more than I should have. I paid close to 700.00 for some guy to walk around for 30 minutes. This company will rip you off. They charge you for their techs to walk around doing nothing. For what I paid and for what he did my son could have done it for under 20.00. I would hire someone else unless you like paying people to do nothing.

My brother in-law is a plumber and works for a company similar to Roto-Rooter but based in Charleston, SC. For the work being done he (brother-in-law) already told me how much I should pay for the service (about $150-$200, depending on whether I provided the materials). I was shocked to have the plumber come out and give me a quote of $468 for a simple faucet replacement and that's without providing the faucet! After a little bit of haggling I was able to get the price down. I really needed the faucet replaced and couldn't take off another day from work to get this done. He did a good job but they are definitely overpriced. Don't waste your time, find yourself another plumber!

They are nice group of people but they are not skilled in indoor plumping. Their specialty is more on outdoor drainages pipes. Either way their price is outrageously high too.

The people on the phone Becky changes prices and is extremely rude. I was quoted a price for a service then called back for the service and the price increased over $100. When I asked about the increase, I was told that was always the price and there weren't any notes of anything else quoted. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and I was denied. Horrible customer service and they are out to take advantage buyer beware. They will try to take advantage of you.

Crooks, call someone else. Paid $126 for a clogged laundry drain. The so called plumber used my own water hose to blast water down drain line and said it wasn't clogging. After he left drain line overflowed again. Called the next day and RotoRooter said they would waive the service fee for coming back out. They sent the same guy out and he seemed agitated he had to come back. He did the same thing and said if he couldn't get it to clog with water hose it shouldn't be clogging with water from washing machine. He offered to snake the line for $400, I declined since he should have done that in the first place. The plumber said I owed $126 again, I told him they were going to waive the service fee. He called the owner and he said charge him again. So I was charged $252 for someone to blast water down the drain and my line is still clogging. I guess how they stay in business is from ripping off new customers. Also Becky who answers the phones for them is more interested in arguing rather than helping.

So, I work in Mobile Home Sales. We do a lot of business with a lot of vendors. We do a lot of referrals as well. We have not only customers to buy Homes, but random people who will call us and ask who are the best people to use for something that needs to be repaired. As of today, I will NOT be recommending rotor rooters of gainesville to ANYONE!! I called for a customer, who had an issue. They wanted a credit card payment. I, like everyone, have a boss I answer to. Before I ok any payment I have to speak to her. She told me to ask why they do credit cards, instead of sending an invoice and then she pays with a business check, not a personal check. So, I did what I was told and I was extremely polite, like always. They lady was beyond rude for no reason. Told me it was $121.00 just to Come out to see what the problem was, plus what ever the had to be fixed was a different charge. ?? And that I am not a customer, so why would she send some one out to do a job, and then I just pay her when ever I feel like it! And I mean... said it very rudely. Unacceptable!! All she had to do was just give me a polite answer and I would have relayed to my boss. When I explained what happed on the phone, I was told to find someone else who is more professional. And then,, when I called back to cancel, the same lady stated it makes her very happy that she doesn't have to do business with my company. Well, jokes on them!! We will now send a ton of business to rotor rooters competitor. Professionalism is a must! There is a way that you speak to people. I dont care what the question is, or how someone talks to me, I am still polite like I was to that rude lady. If I had spoke to ANYONE in that manner, I would have been fired!! And the people I chose to do the job, gives free estimates, not $121.00 like rotor rooters, they are seriously over priced. If there was an option for 0 stars, I would be giving 0 stars!

Roto Rooter was the fourth plumber I called to fix the problem. They fixed it and guaranteed it. I'm happy!
