MISERABLE. I don't even know where to start. They claim it's 24/7, 365 service but that's not the truth. I called for their service for a leak in my wall at 2pm. After hours of telling me they on the way and they will be at my place shortly, at midnight they finally told me that there was an issue and they wouldn't be able to come and service my home until the next morning. I had 10 hours that I could have found a different plumber and got my leaked fixed. In the meantime my water is still leaking from my wall. I wouldn't call these guys again even if the service was for free. Don't waste your time with roto-rooter.

The first call to unclog a drain was excellent. Patricia was prompt and seemingly did a good job. However, the drain clogged again one month later. Roto Rooter didn't call to advise us of delays and they didn't come on the first day they promised repairs. On the second day, I am still waiting. No call from Roto Rooter. Horrible customer service.

*I am 21 and living on my own in a house*
Peter, from Roto-Rooters came to my house to fix my sink. He took a look then told me it would be $360 to fix. I called my dad to tell him what Peter had told me. Peter then got on the phone with my dad and told him I was wrong, It was only $125 to fix. So trying to charge me more than double. As he started to fix the sink he was using very vulgar language. Didn't bother me but in a different home it might bother others. He then told me,"How old are you? You look 12." Making jokes about my appearance. He told me I shouldn't have told him I lived alone. (he asked when trying to figure out the problem) He yelled at me for telling him everything was clogged when only the sink was.( I never told him everything was clogged) He asked me over and over if I actually had the money to pay for this like he didn't believe me. He was extremely rude and unprofessional.

First they were late to give us an estimate for a drain cleaning of our shower. He walks in and says it will be $403 then dropped it to $343. That's insane. After we said thank you we will go with someone else he dropped it to $150. Scam. He did not give us an option at first just seeing if we would go with their first insane estimate off the bat. As new home owners they probably figured we didn't know any better. Do your research. Don't just go for the first guy that gives you a quote.

Fast and reliable service! I live in Wimberley and it is so hard to get plumbers to respond- especially on the weekend! Roto Rooter is the fastest plumbing service I've ever used. - They come out and fix our plumbing problem 24/7! Usually within hours! They are bonded and insured, and you can trust them to be reliable.

I set an appointment early this morning at 7:11am. I deliberately set it for 4-7pm due to my work schedule. At 11:49am I get a call while I am at work from them trying to push my appointment up to right then. I said no, I am working. They told me ok, we will leave your appointment for the same time. I get another call at 5:30pm saying they could be up a few hours. I finally get a call at 8:05pm stating that they still don't have anybody and that it could be another 2.5 hours. That is completely unacceptable. The guy on the phone was rude. I will never use these people and will make sure that I will tell everyone I know including all social media platforms how horrible this service is. I have to be up at 4am and there is no way that I can accommodate late night hours for them to arrive. That was the ENTIRE purpose of setting the appointment this morning.

So I needed a valve replace on my hot water heater . I have no issue with the service but the pricing was ridiculously high, $488 for what should have been far less , 100 was for parts that cost 28 at Home Depot. Run away from these folks.

Just absolutely awful.

First called RotoRooter on Friday afternoon 1/6/17 with a leaking exterior faucet following a couple nights with temps in the teens.

Following delays on Saturday, and then again on Sunday, I was given a time of 2pm Monday. At about 5pm Monday I called to check, was informed that they would absolutely be here tonight.

At 7pm Monday they called to delay again until Tuesday.

I told them to forget it, and I recommend you forget about doing business with these people.

In case the folks there at RotoRooter read this: if you can't do the job JUST SAY SO.

Horrible service. I made and appointment for Saturday online for 2:00pm-4:00pm to get my garbage disposal repaired, I got a call Saturday at 4:00pm from root rooter "confirming my appointment for Tuesday at "8:00am-10:00pm." We sorted out the confusion and rescheduled for Sunday at 8:00am-10:00am. Sunday morning I get a call from root rooter letting me know they they can't make the appointment... So I reschedule for Monday at 2:00pm-4:00pm... Monday at 4:10pm I get a call from root rooter letting me know they'll be running a little late. I'm a little annoyed at this point but what the hell? At least they're going to show up today. NOPE. They call me back at 4:30pm and tell me they won't be able to make it out after all. I would not refer anyone I care about to roto rooter in San Marcos Texas. If I could rate lower than one star I would.
