I will try to be as objective as I can. I recently purchased an older home and I found out that there wasa leak behind the fridge. I called the home warranty company and they sent me someone who he thought the leak coming from the refrigerator water line, so he fixed it, however I found out the next day that the leak continue. I decided not to call them back and I get someone else. I called several local plumbers recommended on Nextdoor and none of them was able to come next day. I googled a plumber in the area and on the top of the google search was Roto- Rooter, so I called them and I was surprised that they had immediate appointment even, but I chose next morning since I t was late afternoon. The technician showed up on time and I explained to him the issues. He informed me that he was working as a plumber for one year but prior to that he was a maintance man. While we were waiting for the leak to show up, I showed him a the washer connection and he took his tool and spent two hours trying to extract a blockage which was not existed in first place. After he spend two hours he went to see the leak, and he designed the problems as a under the foundation leak, and he recommend to call his friend who charge only $700 to find whre is the leak then I call him to give an estimate of how much is going to cost me. He made me sigh the that he did disclose the charge upfront which he did not. Make the story short he charged me $1025.00 and he did not do any repair. I called the neighbor and he told me to call a local plumber called Mike from North Myrtle Beach whose the Kingston plantation contracted him to be their plummer. Mike came in the next day, found the leak and fixed it in one hour and charged me $314.37.

When I scheduled the service I should have asked the price however until the diagnosis the problem I don't think they can quote one. When he unclogged my slow drain in my kitchen sink which was empty of water at the time I was told $620 approx. he said this came with a 6 month guarantee. He then offered me a $100 coupon off. If you do the math they are recharging me for the follow up visit ($260 each) it's not discount. It was too much money. I told everyone on Facebook and now they know you're a rip off. I paid it because I didn't have time wit wait for another plumber but I'm disgusted with people ripping off others.

Roto-Rooter really came through during a remodel where I found a leaking pipe in the wall. They were quick to respond and correct the problem. Great service at a reasonable price.

Good service. Fixed problem in timely fashion. Expensive. $185 for short service call.

Professional company; Pricing so exorbitant I'll be reporting to the better business bureau. Just unbelievably expensive. If I could give zero stars I would. I paid $627 for literally 1.5 hour job. Install new faucet, swap out a garbage disposal (1:1 same as), and re-hook up sink drain as it was unhooked for new countertops. Didn't like that they ask for payment upfront. Plumber estimates 3 hours, had me sign to agree, then did the job in 1.5, hung out in his truck afterwards for 20 minutes and left. Cannot recommended and would strongly urge folks to shop around and know upfront what they are charging. Update: spoke with the service manager. He said they charge a """"flat rate"""" per job. This flat rate equates to $400/hour. There are plenty of licensed plumbers charging $150/hour; suggest anybody looking for a plumber look anywhere else but with this company.

We were charged$166 to replace a $20 dollar part on a 4month old toilet we paid nearly $1000 for.

we had an emergency we had a leak a really bad leak under our house,we had to keep the water off ,the plumber they sent out couldnt fit in our crawl space so he saI'd we would have to take our kitchen floor out them they scheduled us to repair 6 days later but they had us marked as urgent.we had a restoration coming out here to get water from under the house...I will never try to use this company....very unprofessional

After getting the run-around, and poor customer service from MB plumbing, ( a Myrtle Beach plumber that won't come to Garden City for a job, outside their range, if you can believe that!), we decided to go for Roto-Rooter and get the job done right. We had two problems that required a professional, and we finally came to the right place. Their tech guy was very knowledgeable. He handled the problems that came up trying to get our washer drain to clear, even going up on the roof, and clearing the drain through the roof vent. He then replaced our 50 year old completely rusted and leaking supply line connection with PEX materials and fully insulated it quickly and perfectly. Both jobs took less than 2 hours, and we couldn't be happier! Plumbing problems don't happen everyday, it's best to get them taken care of by a pro, then you can forget about it.
