Recommended Customer Reviews

After needing a plumber every year for the past 15 years, I finally found a company that delivered all the help I needed without having to pay unbelievable prices. Roto Rooter Plumbing of Asheville arrived on time as requested, th plumber, Nick, was very knowledgeable and took time to answer my many questions and actually listened to what I had to say and observed. All the work was done quickly and the problem resolved without hesitation. I highly recommend this company and their well trained employee, Nick!

Roto was the third plumber I talked to. The first plumber wanted to change the tank and the pump. The 2nd plumber wanted to change the pump. The Roto plumber deduced it was NOT the pump, and fixed the problem in one day. Thanks Roto Rooter.

Shower valve leak discovered on Sunday. Called Roto-rooter, Anthony came out and dealt with our problem professionally, efficiently, and at reasonable cost for a Sunday visit. Office personnel excellent too. Highly recommended!

We had a plumbing issue- a clog in a really weird place, along the pipe traveling towards our septic- and Eric came out and resolved the problem- totally, throughly, and immediately. He was very friendly, and super smart and knew exactly what he was doing. If he hadn't had such expertise, we could potentially have had to spend more money, but Eric fixed the issue, about a year ago, and we have had no problems since.

Did great work for us when our shower drain decided to pour through our kitchen ceiling. Very responsive call center and the tech was committed to solving the problem.

We were having an issue with our hot water heater not turning on regularly. My husband would have to reset it several times a day. He looked up the error code and it seemed to have something to do with the electrical part of the heater. We called Roto to come out and check it out.
Initially, the plumber said it was happening because we had paint next to the hot water heater. My husband didn't buy it since the paint had been there for years. He asked if they would look into the electrical issue. They went to their truck for 30 minutes, then said they couldn't get a hold of the manufacturer but they would follow up the next day with us. We moved the paint, that didn't work, so we followed up two days later when we hadn't heard from them.
A week went by, no update. Each time we would call, they would blame it on the manufacturer. The receptionist was also incredibly dismissive and rude, even though we stressed how we didn't have consistent hot water -- and I'm 8.5 months pregnant. Finally, my husband asked for the name of the parts. He called the manufacturer and within 30 minutes, spoke to someone, and had them overnighted with FedEx. We called and told Roto we had no issue talking to the manufacturer and they again, were dismissive.
We called a different plumber to install the parts. They looked at the heater, and diagnosed it, realizing we didn't even need those parts at all, but a cheaper part. They had the hot water up and running within a few days, again, having no trouble getting a hold of the manufacturer.
I feel like we were lied to, they had zero empathy or sense of urgency, and weren't trying to solve problems. I would not recommend them.

Top notch!
Customer service is perfect!!!!
The young lady in the office is super nice and very considerate Of my time.
I've used them on several occasions and I'm always Impressed. Our last technician Anthony was amazing!
On time, courteous and did a great job.
Highly recommend.

We had a clogged kitchen pipe on a Sunday. After trying everything we could think of, I called for an estimate. The dispatcher answered my questions and was very clear about what to expect. The plumber got here quickly and wore a mask. He figured out the issue and had it fixed within an hour. Totally worth the money to have a working kitchen sink and washing machine before the week started again.

Sewer line problems. Asked to have it cleaned out to the street. Appointment set for the next day. Fees and hourly rates quoted by home office didn't jive with the rates charged by serviceman.
Tyler and David were conscientious and considerate. They could only get 25' along the estimated 50' sewer line to the street. They suspected a broken drain pipe and encouraged me to let them run a camera to see what the problem was for an additional $215 charge. I agreed al long as I could get some pix of the problem.
An hour later, no pix, they couldn't see because of murky water in the line. Huh? So it made sense that I only be charged for the servicemen's time, not the additional camera fee.
Asking for a second camera run without an addition camera fee or that that charge to be reversed resulted in negative response from ""project manager"" Daniel and his two regional supervisors Robby D. (in Arden NC) and Corey L. (in Greenville SC).
$572.82 and my sewer line is still clogged. Estimates for an assumed broken pipe repair (dig and replace) was $1766.37. I chose Roto-Rooter because they generally have a good reputation. But beware of ""policies"" that protect the corporation, not necessarily the consumer and the local managers who are not a flexible and customer service oriented as you might find in a local plumber. I gave them three stars only because the servicemen were professionals.

I called roto rooted needing an estimate on work on my septic they came out as soon as they could in 30 minutes I had my estimate. The guy that came to do my estimate was friendly and explained all what was needed. He's estimate was in reasonable price range so we scheduled them to do the job
James and his crew came out a couple of weeks later to do the job they were great explained what they were doing and kept it as cleaned as they could. I had a great experience with them and will recommend them to our community.
