Al H.80yr old Mother called them for a basement flood basic clean wrong scared the hell out my mom told her 7000 to fix it called another company charged her 100. Company is disrespectful and unacceptable to being in business
so long
Ian L.When we bought our house at the end of 2017, we were aware that there had been a water problem in the basement. It seemed OK at first, but at about February 2018 we started having flooding in the unfinished quarter. We surveyed our options and ended up moving the price tag of a fix down from over $10,000 to $5,000 for expensive basement re-engineering solutions from companies like EverDry and BDry to finally Roto Rooter doing an assessment and explaining we just needed to root out the drain tiles for a just a few hundred dollars. Not only that, but they had decades of records of service for our house and could explain exactly what happened: the drains had not been rooted for about a decade. Sure enough, the man assigned to the task pulled out buckets of roots from our drains and sewer line and our basement has been dry ever since. They saved us thousands of dollars, let alone holes drilled in walls and expensive dehumidifiers. They were polite, professional, and efficient. Excellent work!
Joseph H.Q: My toilet is clogged, do you have any openings?
A: I can't get you in until two days from now.
Q: Great, how much will it cost to clear a simple clog (poop)?
A: I'm sorry we don't give our prices over the phone, but on Saturday we will give you a written estimate.
ME: No thanks, I'll just call someone else.
---
I'm totally OK with not being committed to a verbal estimate, but not giving even an hourly rate over the phone is a business practice that started with aluminum siding in the 50's.
Uggghhh
Horrible experience. No communication. Technician left in the middle of job that he started, letting water leak from bathroom down to living room. When finally contacted by the tech who walked off the job, he stated his boss told him to begin another job. When I contacted the office, they said no one was available until Monday, mind you this took place on Friday at 2pm. When I questioned why no one was available and their website advertises 24 hour service, the representative hung up on me. When I called back she hung up on me again stating that there is nothing they can do. Do yourself a favor and never use this company ever!
So I am a manager at the local Dunkin Donuts and we had a drain backing up. Naturally I looked up Roto-Rooters because we have used them many times in our Cleveland stores. When I called this particular location the lady was very rude. First I was trying to explain to her what kind of services I wanted and before I finish my sentence she cut me off and with an attitude repeated ""I said what is your phone number"". I told her to hold on why I looked it up and explained I just transferred here so I did not know the number yet. She sighed and we continued I gave her my name and then she asked me for the address and again I told her one minute why I looked it up. She had the nerve to say ""are you serious you don't know your address"". At this point I was getting irritated with her attitude so I told her it was Dunkin Donuts and no I did not know the address because I was new to the store. As I started to read it off I hear a dial tone. SHE HUNG UP ON ME! I have worked in customer service my whole life and have never treated a paying customer like that. For her to treat a customer like that is completely unacceptable, especially since it is somewhere in the area of $132 dollars an hour. I would never recommend anyone use that particular location. Because of her bad attitude and poor customer service they lost a lot of business. NONE OF OUR LOCATIONS WILL USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
horrible service. excuse of a company stay away.... call perrysburg plumbing instead. called them out since there was a smell in one of the bathrooms that wouldn't go away. we tried everything we could. so i thought i would get a ""professional "" opinion. they come out the plumber was there for three and half hours. and did not do anything but snake the toilet and pour buckets of water in the toilet. he changed the flush lever and fill valve. and they are charging me close to $500 for that. after all that they still couldn't fix the toilet and recommend changing the toilet. I tried contacting them to talk about it they said they would get back to me but they don't and send me a collections notice after 4 months. we were going back an forward to solve the issue they brought the invoice down to 350.which is still a rip off for what they did they didn't even diagnose the real issue and they hung up on me.... great customer service.
I have to say never call them on a holiday or weekend. First the lady on the answering service is very rude and then they won't come out even when sewage is coming up the drains. You should call Mr. Rooter wow they were great on New Years Day!!!!!!!!!!
