I scheduled Roto Rooter to come look at a slow drain issue. They sent a young tech out to work on our drain who seemed inexperienced, He told me it would be $250 for a main line I aggreed, Then when he could not clear it so he said he would need to bring in a camera for an additional $190 so I agreed. After he was done He handed my wife a bill for $1300 and said he couldnt figure it out. When I spoke with him on the phone he said it was better but he couldn't clear it. When I got home it was completely clogged so I had to contact another plumber to come right after him and clear the clog, I called into roto rooter and I was told twice by a Roto Rooter representative that I would be contacted by a manager but never received a call. This service is unacceptable and I am extremely unhappy with the treatemnt we have received. We were completely brushed off by Roto Rooter.

How a person can make difference I saw that with this experience . You could feel the honesty and discipline and willingness in Mr Phillip. He is an asset for rooto rooter vs a gentleman from Meridian plumbing we had earlier for the same job He was totally opposite of Phillip. He charged us more he advised and made us spend unnecessarily for a motor which was still running . . And the problem remained there till Mr Phillip cleaned his mess. The charges difference is dollar 850.00 by Meridian plumbing vs 195.00 be roto rooter.

First of all, I never thought I would call Roto-Rooter, lots of bad stuff online but it was the best thing I did! Kitchen sick was not draining I tried everything I know from removing trap to a snake, well I gave up an called. I have been in the house for 4 years and it was built in 2004. I call the dispatch person she got me a person in meridian to come at 0830 that day. The Mechanic was very professional and friendly, at first it looked like it was a quick fix problem ( less then one hour). The job took over 5 hours, my Kitchen line was over 50 foot to the main line and it was clogged for about 6 feet of grease at the end to the main line. The Mechanic was in the crawl space for 2 hours and completed the job after many buckets of crap, he cleaned up and was very Professional. His name is Matt, I say this guy needs a big raise! The job was expensive but I wanted it done now so, I get what I paid for, excellent work. ASK for Matt!

Our shower drain has been clogged since Saturday when we made the call to Roto-Rooter. It is now Tuesday afternoon and we still haven't had anyone come to the house. They told us they would be here at 3pm, but it's now close to 5pm with no word from them as to why they are late. We called at 3:30 and they said we were next, but it's been an hour since. To expect someone to take off from work for an appointment that isn't kept is one problem. But more importantly, we only have one bathroom in our house, so we haven't been able to shower here since Saturday. Pooooooooooor customer service. Definitely would not recommend.

I called Roto-rooter to come change out a leaky faucet in a rental I own in Boise. I live in Oregon and was managing this from afar. They were very nice on the phone and I was told that they would go out for free, check out the issue and call me with possible solutions and costs. The tech was 4 hours late and arrived at 5:00. He called me to tell me that he had removed the leaky faucet, and that he could put a stainless steel one back in same day (Friday) for $550.00, or he could get a brushed nickel like the one I had in for $650.00 but not till Monday. He made me think that there would be no running water in the kitchen if he didn't install a new faucet. I of course said no way am I paying even close to $500 for a faucet switch out... faucets that they have in stock cost at most $100.00 and install would be probably 30 minutes. Ug
Anyway, I said no. I called the tenant of the home and they told me that the guy was there for 10 minutes, took some pictures and that he DIDN'T DO ANYTHING to the faucet. That it was still in place.
Apparently he thought since I was in Oregon that I would feel the pressure to get my tenants running water and would therefore have to pay $500+ dollars to do so.
Thank God my tenants are awesome, honest people and NO, I do not recommend scammy roto-rooter for even the simplest of repairs.

I too would give them a zero rating if it was an option. We had a tenant call reporting a backup of yuck into their bathtub and toilet. I called Roto Rooter 4 times, each time they told me a tech would call me and get over that day to do a free inspection of the problem and a firm estimate to repair. We are now 3 days, and i still haven't received a call back. My tenants are beside themselves. I have wasted days waiting to hear from these people.
Extremely unprofessional! If you don't intend to take on the job, dont say you will, and to please be patient.
I am laid up with health issues and have just had a relatative now offer to go look at it. We will move forward without Roto Rooter.
I will never call them again!!!
If you have a week to have them respond they might be worth calling for a bid.... otherwise, i would suggest calling anyone else!

my family has hired this company 4 times to fix the same exact issue and they are horrible. their specialist/ plumbers are incompetent and so is the owner. we recieved warranties the first 2 times we used this company and this last time they promised us with a guarantee that the problem would be solved. update: a week after paying over $500 in all for all repairs, the problem is still persistantly happening! do not use this company or you will be sorry you did! adam c. is the worst plumber i've ever dealt with. this company does not care if sewage ends up in your home after the have completed their work. they will not come back to fix the issues they caused! they do not care about the health hazard this is for children! i will be having my system thoroughly inspected and if advised by my lawyer take this matter to court against this company! they have not heard the lasts of me!

We bought an older home and it needed the the hot and cold water valves under the kitchen sink replaced because they were old and not functioning. There was a leak under pressure from a hose bib as well. The plumber told us that Roto-Rooter corporate makes them use a set fee per job and it would be $650.00. No thanks. We ask about moving an existing natural gas line about ten feet from one corner of the kitchen to an opposing wall for a gas range because we changed from electric to gas. The plumber again lamented that he had to use the corporate rate per job. He told us that to move the line one foot or ten feet has a minimum starting price of $1800.00. Obviously we went elsewhere and the cost was $300.00. Beware of this company because they are over-priced to an extreme.

I would give this company ZERO stars if I could. They came out to our home to pump the septic and could not get the lid open. The attached the lid to a truck and tried to get it open and destroyed our lawn in the process. The then used a jack hammer and broke through the lid as well as damaging the whole inside so bad that we had to replace it. Another company we called said that they have a tool for the type of lid I had that would have opened it with out breaking it. The pumped and then sent us a HUGE bill for the service they provided. When we called the owner he said that he would remove the bill due to the fact that we had to replace the broken pieces. 6 months later I get a call from a collection bureau collecting on the debt. I told them the situation and they said I had to write in. I did. I never got a reply back and got a ding on my perfect credit. I wrote letters, emails, etc. trying to get it resolved and NEVER did it get fixed. I was garnished through my checking account for the whole amount and the ding on my credit has not gone away. This company is HORRIBLE. After all of this, I had another company come out to do some searching through our pipes to make sure our roots were good, they re-pumped and found that there was NO WAY the company ever pumped in the first place. They showed the calculations of waste compared to my pump and found that it was impossible that Roto-Rooter ever did what they said they did. WARNING. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND THIEVES!

They came out to pump my septic and clear the main line. It didn't clear completely, so I ask them to come out again the following day. They said they were busy and it would be three days before they could come out again, so I had to call another company. I could not use my plumbing (no toilet, no shower, etc) and they knew it! I then asked for my money back on the snaking and they said they would pay me the the $95 trip fee from the other company and that is all. The other company found a crack in my main line that was the cause of my problem. The other company was so much more knowledgeable about how everything worked (they knew right away that there was a problem in the main line, and actually pinpointed the location before we even got the camera through). So, after many heated emails with THIS company; they believe they did nothing wrong, got defensive, in some cases I would call it harassment and badgering, and still NEVER paid my for the $95 trip fee they promised, and to this day they believe they gave good service. They are NOT to be trusted!!!
