Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Water Cleanup

Do not use Roto-Rooter. I waited 5 hours for them to come. they didn't bother to update me. They don't bother to come when you leave work early and set up an appointment. Do not recommend. I used another company.

They deserve a one star just like what the previous yelpers gave.
They were supposed to come to my house between 5pm and 9pm Sunday night10/18/2020. They didn't show or have the human decency to call saying they weren't coming. Finally at 8:40 pm I called them and they said they aren't coming they are understaffed. I cancelled an appointment I had set for tomorrow because of setting this appointment. Now I will call someone else tomorrow but this company never again. I should call them and send them to some fictitious address and waste their time. Making someone wait four hours and not showing is wrong. This should cost them something more than a bad yelp. My time is worth money and they wasted it.

My double angle stop valve under the sink was dripping by droplet, called the company, they said that the technician will be there in hour + travel time. Sure he came, looked at it and quoted $325 labor+Valve 40$ + tax, he did not have the part so we got lucky. Next day I checked google and turned the packing nut clockwise 1/8 turn and leaking stopped. These companies and their cowboy technicians are ripping the public off and we should not be using them. They are there to rip you off and not help you. Bad company!!!

Horrible. Had a problem with our water heater. Called at 7am Monday morning and arranged a technician to come by between 1-3. Its almost 3 - I call again. Need to come between 2-4 now and they will call before they get there. At 4 I HAD TO CALL AGAIN and they said by 5pm. At 5pm I CALL AGAIN - have to push me to next day between 8-10!!! WHAT?? I was livid - guess what...I WORK TOO!!! For some crazy reason, I agreed to it. At 8am I called - the supervisor thought the guy was already out there!! Supervisor says the technician would come between 1-3. WHAT???? At 2pm when they STILL WERE NOT HERE I called another plumber - Plumbing Care of San Ramon. Plumbing Care came out to my house in half an hour, fixed my water heater, even fixed another leak that was totally unrelated and still roto-Rooter was not there. So, I called AGAIN to RotoRooterbut this time to say ""Don't Bother, Roto Rooter. I called someone else"" Livid, RotoRooter. I would never recommend you to anyone. But I will recommend Plumbing Care in San Ramon.

Almost identical experience as the other current review. Backed up toilet and called in on Saturday. Was given a 4 hour window between 10-2pm on Sunday. Missed their window and I called them a couple of times over the next 2 hours and could not get an ETA or confirmation that they would come at all. At 5pm I cancelled the service call and at 5:30pm I get a call saying ""can you wait a little longer"". Called a couple of other plumbers and had someone onsite in 30 minutes. Don't waste your time with Roto-Rooter.

On Saturday the toilet in one of my bathrooms became plugged. I set up a service call online with Roto-Rooter. The web page claimed they had a service in my town of Danville, California. They set up a 4-hour window on Sunday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. when they would arrive. They never came and never called. I contacted Roto-Rooter's emergency number and all I got from them was a verbal shrug. Someone would call when they were on their way. It's 8 p.m. now and no calls or anyone showing up. I would never bother calling them again.
