Needed to change out a vanity in bathroom. Old leaky disgusting cast iron pipes in my basement needed to be changed out. I moved to Danville in June from Arizona and have had trouble getting anyone to help me with some modernization of my beautiful home. I found these gentleman extremely pleasant, knowledgeable in their job, professional and patient with me and my incessant questions.

Imagine a week where everything breaks, the yard floods, and then you wake to no water in the house. And as you write the (relatively large) check, you're still able to laugh and smile. Impossible, right? Not when Ty and Chad are your plumbers.

I try to support local, small businesses whenever I can. But most local plumbers didn't even return my call. And those that did answer the phone or call me back, could not fit me in for days. Everyone was busy. When I told folks I had Roto Rooter coming out, all I heard was ""wow they are expensive"". Now I can't say what someone else would have charged. But what I can say is that these guys told me when they'd be here. They checked in with me on their way. They fit me in late in the day. They spent the dinner hour going to multiple sources to get the needed parts. They answered all my questions: patiently, thoroughly, repeatedly and in a way I could understand. And then they made the repairs and I had water again just after dark. And although they are just as busy as you would expect, and had just worked a full day before even getting here, they had awesome attitudes. Wow. Just wow.

Prompt, expert service is well worth the money. Any day. Roto Rooter will forever be my first call from here out. Thank you Ty and Chad. You made a really bad week so much better!

I previously wrote a great review for Tyler at Rotorooter after he cleared my drain and replaced a two-way flush pipe. However, the project got much bigger really fast and they ended up having to excavate and replace the main drainage pipe. This is when everything went downhill. They charged me a total of almost $8k to replace this pipe (yes, I foolishly paid because it needed to get done right away). I was fine with this. However, after digging up my yard, they threw down some hay and left it. Now, I can't even mow the area or walk because the ground is all torn up. They drove the truck onto my front lawn, so now there are huge grooves in my front lawn as well. They also left garbage -- plumbing materials, patch/glue stuff, gloves -- on my property and on my neighbors'. It's a complete mess. Everything works fine, but for the amount of money I paid, the least they could do is come back to my property and fill in the giant holes they left behind and clean up their garbage. I haven't heard from them since they took my money, broke the water line and repaired it, and sloppily pushed clay and dirt back into the hole. Part of the pipe isn't even covered. SHITTY JOB, GUYS.

Update. I am pleased with some of the employees and not so much on others. One group of plumbers successfully snaked the sink and other places where we had clogs. Roto Rooter has the equipment and was recommended by a local plumber. However, they did not suggest unhooking dishwasher where problem was. On separate plumbing call and different group of plumbers, they wanted to replace pressure tank and suggested I go to Lowes for new flapper. After 4 flappers, issue not fixed. This plumber
gave me a list of things that needed to be fixed. I did not let them replace pressure tank. I later got a separate group of plumbers from another agency and they fixed the toilet that was causing the pressure tank issues. The pressure tank is not running now and I was told that it does not need to be replaced.

They are a little costly but the service got done. Had an awesome service technician and was willing to come earlier than my time slot. He went to get the supplies for my issues and recommended some replacement.

A plumber from this company came to my home the end of August to fix a clogged toilet. He had to remove the entire toilet. When he was done he put the toilet back and placed the old wax ring in and said it was fine. 5 weeks later it is leaking. I call and they will fix it but will charge the 1/2 price of $79 to come out and fix something that should have been fixed correctly by the plumber when he was here. That is poor customer service. I would not use this company again.
