We had a broken sewer main on Labor Day. Roto Rooter came out to look at it and marked where the digging would need to be done. They said they would make the yard look like it was before they worked on it. We had to wait 2 full days before they could begin the work. We couldn't use the bathrooms, sinks, etc. They said they would be there first thing in the morning. Their first thing in the morning means around 9:00 am. It took them 3 hours to find the right spot after they started digging and completely destroyed the front yard, not to mention the tree. They ""accidentally"" broke several large branches. Their response was, ""oops, sorry"". They also had to take part of our fence down and broke all of the brackets. Of course, they said they are not responsible for it. There were 3 workers but only one of them did anything. The other 2 just stood there and watched while they smoked cigarettes. When the job was finally done many hours later because they moved very slowly, they filled the hole back in and told us they won't even out the dirt or plant grass. Now the yard is a complete muddy mess with mounds of dirt everywhere. It will need to be re-graded and re-seeded completely. I do not recommend this company. They said they would make the yard the way it was before they began the work but that did not happen. The workers who were here did not know what they were doing and only one of them actually did anything. We will definitely never hire this company again.

I was very pleased with the customer service offered by the Roto-Rooter office based in Carlisle, PA. From start to finish -- including the follow-up phone call the next day -- they did a great job. I needed them to simply snake a drain that I was unable to do with just my hand-operated snake. They let me know when they were on the way, showed up on time, did the work quickly and professionally, and then cleaned up the site quite nicely! The technician they sent was friendly and informative.
