My sister called Roto Rooter with busted water pipes from the freezing temperatures. Her husband passed away last June, so she's a widow. The man said he could fix this issue for $11,000. I tried to get her to get a second opinion, but she was in shock and just wanted it fixed. The man said she could get a loan through Green Sky and he knew another lady that got a loan through them and it was only $17 a month. My sister listened to him and got the loan, but it is over $100 () a month of course. After taking the loan he proceeded to tell her the leak in the bathtub would be an additional cost and she being completely disheartened, had to decline his ""generosity"" (sarcasm). So, for $11,000 she had all her lines repaired except for her bathtub. I am extremely furious that he couldn't have told her the bathtub would be excluded before she took the loan. Do water break repairs really cost thousands of dollars to repair?? I am still in shock!
Utter P.Firstly, I was incredibly relieved that this company was still serving customers in this time when most companies are closed. I called and left a message in the night and the return call was timely and friendly. I received same day service after discussing the issues that I had which were many but one of dire urgency. I had a long list of issues that needed addressed. My bathroom sink had sprung a leak that was filling a bucket daily. The toilet was running constantly. The kitchen sink needed revamped. I had broken a piece at the end of the faucet when trying to put on a water filter causing it to spray haywire. The shower had 2 major issues. The drain in the basement was leaking from old rusted pipes and repeated use of organic draining liquids from years of dealing with clogs. As if that wasnt enough; the faucet to the shower would run full stream even when the faucet was off. I needed miracles of all sorts. The gentleman called and let me know he was on his way. He was friendly and began to access the issues immediately. He was amazing a went way above and beyond as the fixes did take some extra time and attention including an extra trip due to a faulty brand new bathroom faucet. Honestly I can't rave enough how incredibly gracious and patient Jesse was with the issues that arose and he was quick to address issues that went beyond what I had expected. I look forward to contacting this company in the future and referring Roto-Rooters to anyone in need of exceptional service at a reasonable price. Jesse even checked in with me later to make sure everything was still good after he had left and let me know about the 30 day warranty. I couldn't be more satisfied with the service I received today. Honestly. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you
Jesse from the Zanesville branch just left our house having moved our water meter. He was the kind of worker that listened to me talk and answered my questions while he was working. AND he did a really good job. I am very happy with the work that was done.
Dee G.My 89 year old mother was having trouble with the drains in her basement, she was baling water out each time it rained. My sister hired this company to clean her drains. They came out the next day but didn't have the right equipment so had to return the following day. Everything seemed to go fine that day, they did their thing and assured my mother it was cleaned and she shouldn't have water standing in her basement. Well then it rained and poured and water stood in her basement! They were called again! On their last trip out they ""found"" the drain pipe was damaged and needed replaced... a $3,000 job. What! Said it was ""pinched off"" and wouldn't let the water through! What?!? You supposedly ran a ""snake"" through it but water can't make it through!?!? Not only are they trying to rip her off they tore up her driveway and yard beside the driveway!!! But my sweet mother just wants to forget it as she went out the other day with a shovel to try and fix it. Did I say she's 89? Beware of this company and find someone one else to do this type of job!
Laura N.Do not use this company at all. They do not care to listen to their customers and will find a way to do as little as possible yet charge as much as possible.
I called, desperate on a Saturday with a backing up shower. Service tech called and arrived in a timely manner. I was super impressed. I explained the situation precisely; I was in the shower, the toilet started gurgling and bubbling up and the water wouldn't drain from the shower. Immediately, without even looking at anything except the washer and kitchen sink, I was told that we needed to have 'televising' done and this was explained that the toilet would be removed and a snake with a camera would go in and find the problem. The guy was adamant and stated over and over again that he was going to be pissed if the toilet gave him any problems. He said he could remove the toilet right now, but if it gave him any trouble at all, he was going to be mad and it was going to be $xxx (I can't recall the exact amount) he again, over and over, said that he could pull the toilet but he wasn't responsible for setting it afterward. Both my son and I explained to him that the clean-out was behind the washer. He refused to look for it. Kept saying it wouldn't do any good, it needed to be televised and it was $xxx. My son tried one more time to explain to him where the clean out is located and he just refused to listen. I paid this company $129.95 to come to my house on a Saturday, refuse to do anything other than telling me someone would call me on Monday to schedule the appointment for 'televising'. Yeah, no. I gave my business and money to another company that actually listened to the problem and eased my anxiousness about the situation. 100% do not use this company. Two thumbs down. :(
Heath D.Wow! Super disappointed. Had dealt with them before to have a drain snaked. Was $150 or so and included 30 day warranty. Reasonable price I thought. We're able to get out timely. Guy was super nice. Did a great job. Great experience. So I called them back concerning a rents property that I had. Leaking pipe from a copper to PEX connection. $89 to come out. No problem. I knew all he would need to do is tighten the connection. And that's all it took. My bill was $184.95! So the $89 was to show up and re $95 was to actually fix the leak--all of two minutes but charged me the hour, as is customer for me they tell me. I'm still baffled how the $89 includes nothing but showing up. Then any work that needs done begins the $95 hour rate. Will never use them again. Appalling! What a ripoff!
