I called Roto-Rooter for a molding issue that I THOUGHT I had, which wasn't the case. Richard came by on time and at my earliest convenience and was very helpful and informative about my situation. I would recommend this company for any plumbing needs.

I had a slow flushing toilet. Technician took the toilet off and ran the junior machine down the toilet line. When we flushed the toilet, it was just as bad as it was before. After a couple of more flushing, he said that he thought it was the jets on the toilet itself and wanted to schedule a toilet replacement. I declined.

Roto Rooter charged me $355 before diagnosing the clogged jets. Now looking with a mirror, I can see calcium clogging in the jets. So, hey Roto Rooter, why not diagnose the problem before charging me for something that didn't need fixing. I just spent $355 on utter incompetence and now must fix the toilet anyway. Not Happy.

To add insult to injure, the machine sprayed a line of sewage up my bathroom wall as he was pulling the snake out. Not Happy.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
They sent a completely inexperienced ""plumber"" who openly admitted that he was learning as he was going (his name is Robert Guitierrez), and admitted that the only reason it took him three hours to replace a P-trap is because he was constantly making mistakes.
So, we paid $650 to install a P-trap and clear three drains.
He cleared two, and couldn't figure out how to clear the third. So he called his manager who promised to come out on 8/10/2020 to see what the problem was. Mr. Guiterrez then promised me that they would call on 8/10/2020 to set up an appointment time, and that the call-out fee would be waived.
No one called, no one came.
So, not only does this company employ completely inexpert wannabes who play at being plumber, they won't keep their word unless there's money involved.
I do not recommend this company unless you're comfortable having newbies practicing on your plumbing.

Payed 300 dollars for them to open a pipe that didn't help solve the problem.
I feel ripped off. I called them back and told us because it wasn't guaranteed it would have worked they will not be coming back without paying extra.
Now we're 300 dollars short and our toilet isn't working.
The only positive thing is they were prompt and friendly.

If you live in the bakersfield area, I highly recommend Pistol Pete's Plumbing and Rooting. They will actually get the job done and they charge us half of what Roto-Rooter cost us. They are honest and will help you fix your problem.

service is great, one star for price gouging. it only took the tech 20 min to clear the toilet and change the wax ring and they charge me $550.

Our toilet flooded, in Techachapi. Called them out, did not snake it did other stuff and charged us 585.00 without fixing problem. Said we needed $3500.00 worth of work.

Called another plumber who snaked it and fixed problem for $85.

Did not need any other work.

Total RIP off.

The advertisement of free estimate is misleading, they send someone over for free to assess what type of leak detector will be needed to find the leak (if that's ur issue) then they tell you what the charge will be to find the leak, to then be able to charge you the cost of the actual repairs. I was overcharged for the detection, overpriced work and on top of the over $2000 cost, they don't repair the wall that they cut into, broke a tile in my tub and didn't fix it, left a huge mess outside where they tore into my wall, left all the debris and broken wall pieces in my tub. And to top it all off the spout ended up with a slow drip that I had to call them again to fix it. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We had a leak in our garage on our mainline. Called them, they sent someone quick and we thought it was great. Now, keep in mind one side of that line is turned off for very good reason.
This guy, first, could not understand how the area he was looking at supplied the water to our house after multiple times of me telling him. Then he quotes us a lot more than we expected for what should be a simple job. After we tell him it is a financial hardship and we will have to skip other bills, we tell him to do it.
He then breaks other parts, puts in a line that will probably break as it has no support unlike the one he took out, and leaves trash.
Then he turns the water back on, all of it and half floods the garage. After I explain to him what happened over there and he is like, oh that is why it was off, he told me he wishes I had told him I did not need it as he could have capped it and went from a $730 job to $300., but it was too late even though he could have asked at the beginning about it being turned off. Wasn't this his job when he was looking at it? I feel robbed. He damaged my property, did a bad job and then robbed me. We will never use them again.

Needed a plumber to come same day in pine mountain and roto rooter was the only company of about 10 that I called that could accommodate. They sent their technician Eric who was GREAT! He was kind enough to wait for me to call my warranty to ensure that the services I needed were covered and they were which was an added bonus! He was fast, professional, and courteous. Highly recommend this company especially for those out in pine mountain where certain types of service can be limited.
