My sewer line backed up in my house I need a sewer pipe repair... in pure panic I was just about to go with roto rooter which gave me a estimated of the amount if 10,875..... ready and willing to start that next day .... I waiting til I got a few estimate which ranged from 4800-5500 a huge difference... please do your homework I would never use roto again I was also charged 679...for 150-200 clog.... This is not a bit over priced but it should be considered criminal ... terrible

Roto Rooter has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Their employees lie on documentation, don't show up for jobs, refuse to put in any extra effort on the job, do not complete the job, and their managers avoid resolving an issue.

Roto Rooter breached their service agreement by not providing a camera tech within a reasonable amount of time after the blockages were cleared in order to see what is going on and falsified documentation. Please, please, please save your money, time, and headaches, and find an honest company.
We had a technician come for a main sewer line backup. The first attempt to clear it through the basement didn't work and we asked him to use the curb trap outside. He went outside, looked at the trap and said he didn't want to open it. He came back inside and tried a bit longer from the basement trap and it ended up clearing. Before he left, he said a camera tech will come the same evening. He also said that if we experience the same issue, service will be covered for 6 months. We waited until 10pm and no one showed.

Another backup happened a few days later and we called back. A dispatcher informed us that the technician's notes stated the blockage wasn't cleared and wasn't guaranteed. She also told us that we requested to cancel the camera service, which we never did. The dispatcher was extremely rude when we tried explaining to her that her colleague lied on his documentation, and she told us it didn't matter what we were telling her and she could only by what is in the notes and ""why don't you get what I'm telling you"". She didn't want to help us seek a solution and finally told us her manager would call us in 2 hours. Of course, 4 hours later, there was no call.

We requested another technician come out that evening. We explained the situation and he was very understanding and explained service can only be guaranteed after a camera has confirmed the blockage is truly clear after the service. He cleared the blockage and confirmed a camera tech would come the next day. This technician has been the only person with integrity that we have interacted with. He was the only one to apologize for our experience and told us to contact him directly because the dispatchers don't know anything they're talking about.

The camera never showed up again the next day. We contacted the tech again and he said he would follow up with the camera tech. After no one showing up yet again the following day, we called the tech back and he called his manager and requested him to contact us. We were told the manager would be calling us in an hour. He never called.

After contacting the customer service, a camera tech finally came out and found water backing up again. It's no surprise since the blockage was cleared 5 days ago and you need to use the camera immediately after to actually see what is going on. He also refused to look in the outside curb trap and said he'd need to excavate for $9,000+ to see what is going on. Like we would seriously trust this company with anymore of our money or property.

I would give zero stars if that were possible. Had Andrew from Roto Rooter to our home to repair a leak under the kitchen sink. The same company had put the existing pipes in less than a year ago. He determined it needed to be torn out and reinstall the piping. A few hundred in labor plus parts and I sign some papers, assuming it's been correctly repaired.

This evening, we discover water coming from under the sink.

There are three pipes that aren't even connected.
I have several days worth of water damage and we can't use the kitchen sink until sometime tomorrow, best case scenario.

I signed an agreement to have a drain dug in the back of my house. I was given an estimate based on the size of the hole that needed to be dug. The hole they dug was less than half the size I had paid for. I got no refund and was told by the person I talked to that I was not even present when the hole was dug. I was present and I have pictures of the hole that was dug and it was not even close to the size of the estimate. The representative stopped answering my calls and texts. I would not recommend this service to anyone! They are grossly over priced and unprofessional in responding to issues related to their service.

Had a leaky pipe and the shut off valve wasnt working
I expressed the importance but still waited over 3 hours.
That's not my biggest complaint tho.

Because it was an emergency situation i didnt shop around nor did i ask the rate when i called

But never in my wildest dreams did the repair cost $905!!
It took him 20 mins to fix once he came back with the parts(common parts that should be on the truck)

Total rip off
Dont use this company
The plumber was knowledgeable and cool and he tried his best explaining why the high cost..
But i contacted a buddy afterward who lives too far away to have helped me tell me the normal charge for what i got done is $550

Horrible customer experience. Called first thing in am about a no show from the day before. Was told that the main office has no control over franchisees and that they could connect me to the same guy again but they have no quality assurance or guarantee that he would show up today. So essentially you are not dealing w Roto Rooter but some random guy they allow to use their name. Use Weltman Plumbing A little more expensive but worth it. This rating would be a zero if i could make it one

Had a really great experience with my local Roto-Rooter provider. Imagine just as we are headed out for our Saturday evening of fun and games we discover that two toilets and two showers are backing up for the second time in one week. How lucky are we that Tyler ( #3457) was dispatched to our home within 2 hours of our call.!! He was polite, professional and respectful of our personal property. And he has a pleasant sense of humor! After assessing our problem he drove to the nearest Home Deport to procure a missing piece of plumbing and had our job done within the hour. What a good sport!! After completing the job he asked for cleaning materials and put the entire bathroom back together. We were worried about the price but he honored the $40 discount coupon and used some other coupons. He educated us about how to avoid the problem in the future and the price was ""reasonable"" considering the emergency nature of the job.
