We had an excellent experience with the the Water mitigation and Reconstruction dept. we had an emergency water problem causing us to have to vacate our home-which was overwhelming! Steve, Brian and the team was there for us every step along the way explaining what our next steps would be and comforted us during this unexpected event. the staff was friendly and always helpful. Reconstruction was handled and completed in timely manner and we can't say enough about how happy we were to have them handling this. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for water mitigation and reconstruction. all things we would have never expected and would use them again!!!! THANK YOU, ROTO ROOTER for the support you gave to our family during this terrible time in our life!!!

I used Roto to clean a clog and then on a separate visit to locate and fix the problem. The tech didn't know how to use the locator and the cost time (@$350 per hour). I asked the tech to make the cap flush with the soil so ti could be covered with mulch (not done) and then he charged me for all their breaks because it was a hot day. I sympathize but I shouldn't be paying for this. The tech also lied to me as he told me they took off 1hr for this time but when I asked about their time to go get parts, he yelled at me from the truck and said the price is the price. Never again. I hope your new private equity owners don't expect repeat business.

USELESS!! Drove out to my house to talk to me and gather the same information I gave on the phone. Then charged me for the privilege! So that payment is hostage if I choose to have them actually do my septic work. What a scam! Its so hard to trust anyone. Don't trust this firm. I called and complained. Got me no where. They said they have to look at the land. Load of BS. Google maps could have given that same info. From the second the technician started talking it felt like a sales pitch and all the things I would need. $$$$$

Horrible. Missed a call and from them that truck is on the way - responded with 15 min. Changed my appointment (which they had already changed on me due to commercial client emergency). I have a business to run. We were home. I can't keep changing my schedule to accommodate them! Thankfully MR ROOTER was next door at my neighbors and came right over.

I left a review on Roto-Rooters website - kinda funny that they have 23 5 star reviews. I left a one star... it never posted to their site. BEWARE.

I called with questions about services and the woman answering the phone had the worst attitude. She was incredibly rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. A simple customer phone call is a chance to make a first impression and my experience reflects very poorly on the company's appreciation for and treatment of their customers.

Very professional and helpful staff . I called Friday evening and was told someone would be there Sunday morning. Wayman called me Sunday morning and showed up right in time. This is the second time I have used Roto-Rooter and highly recommend them and will not be using anyone else .

An elderly couple in L. Texas found out the hard way hiring a Roto Rooter franchisee to perform plumbing repairs doesn't mean the franchisee is backed by Roto Rooter. When the Cs of L. Texas called the Denton Texas office of Roto Rooter to repair a gas riser at their residence they thought they were hiring a reputable national company. In fact, when the plumber caused extensive damage to their gas lines to the tune of $2, 400 the C's received a bill from the Roto Rooter Denton franchise for the repairs. (he put 85 to a 100 psi on the line when 3 psi should have been used - he couldn't find leaks don't you know - so he made plenty with 85 - 100 psi on the line)

Calls and a letter of compliant sent to Roto Rooter's corporate offices in Cincinnati and Des Moines IA were met with, ""We have nothing to do with the day to day operations or management of our franchisees. They pay a monthly fee to use our name and that's it. You will have to settle it with them. We can't make them do anything.""

Well it got worse, the C's were then sued for not paying for the repairs by a law firm who handles collections. Mrs. C 70, is in fragile health and her blood pressure has been on a roller coaster ever since the suit was filed even landing her in the hospital at one point and a $30, 000 hospital stay. To add to the stress of being sued and charged legal fees by Roto Rooter Denton Texas for damages their plumber caused, she has a fear of the plumber who did the damage and his display of a violent temper with her and her husband while he was fixing his mistake. ""He scared me."" Mrs. C says.

""Now we've found out that Roto Rooter has had several class action suits filed against them."" said Mr. C. ""It's the darnedest outfit I've ever seen. And I think there used to be a law on the books in Texas about a contractor coming onto your property and causing damage and then charging you for it - but there isn't a law like that now. How can that be in America? What's to stop companies from doing just that and stealing customers blind?""
