Jamie O.They never handled the problem. 135.00 did not even snake out pipe had to call someone else to do it.
I hired Roto Rooter (Stern Lecture) to replumb my kitchen and bathroom. We had not put in the sub floor yet and they wanted to start with the plumbing anyway. I was told they would come back at another time to finish the job, after the sub floor was in and we replaced shower, sinks and etc. While doing the roughed in plumbing they discovered i had a broken sewer tile outside of the house. They asked if i wanted them to fix that as well. I agreed to have them fix the broken tile in addition to doing the plumbing on the inside of the house as well. After we had installed the sub floor, set the shower, toilet and sinks. I called the technician to have them return to do the remaining plumbing they were contracted to do. The technician then told me I would be charged again for the remaining plumbing. Granted I had already paid for them to do this work. I refused to pay them again for something they were already under contract to do and hired a different plumber to finish the work. I short paid the entire bill for the amount I had to pay the second plumber to finish their job. I have called and talked to them repeatedly about this situation and they refuse to resolve it. They have since turned me in to collections on the remaining balance.
Called them out for a simple unclogging of a drain at our business (LLC). They charged $150 for simply doing this quick and easy job. Payment was made via the business account. Unfortunately, another service provider accidentally charged the company twice right before payment was cleared for Roto Rooter's check, which caused their check to bounce. Roto Rooter was advised of this, but their response was to send an employee to the business and demand instant payment in full. The owner, who was not currently there, advised the employee he could get $50 cash from the register and we call the business to make arrangements to pay the balance. Upon calling, the employee (office manager) threatened to press criminal charges for check fraud against one of the owners. It should be known that check fraud requires deliberate knowledge and intent to fraud a company. There was sufficient money in the business account at the time of writing the check, something that was made known to them. The owner that was threatened by Roto Rooter was not even legally a member of the LLC (as it is a sole-proprietor), therefore should never have been threatened nor any legal claim or charge could be made against them. Multiple follow up calls to corporate were made, but the owner of this franchise refused to even call us back. Avoid this overpriced and threatening company.
Gwynn B.So when Roto Rooter came out my dosing tank was to the top. They pumped it out , told me my pump was bad, would not explain why alarm didn't work, said pump wiring was bad and had to retire using float alarm wires.
After they left I called electricians to fix problem immediately. They came out and nothing was wrong with wiring and nothing had been rewired. Tested ""broken pump"" and it worked just fine.
Called to complain to Roto Rooter. They sent a supervisor to assess. He determined my electricians were correct. He admitted his employee lied to me. I asked him what he was going to do about it (at least cover the cost of the electricians). He said ""all I can do is apologize""
In addition to the above they threw cigarette butts in my sewer and failed to refill hole they dug in yard. Electrical box they installed is ""waterproofed"" with some silicone. My electricians laughed at the shoddy work.
Total bill was over $1200. I am disputing a portion of that charge.
