The plumber came out for a leak, told us the problem was the grout around the shower and that we would need to rip out the ceiling below to verify, as the leal was not directly below it. We said we'd like to think about it, so we were charged a $75 service fee (which we were fine with in the moment, since we took his time and we thought he diagnosed the problem). However, the next day, my dad, who is NOT a plumber came and determined the shower faucet was leaking down the wall and the source of the issue was not the shower base. The plumber came back out and fixed the problem. However, there was no mention of the service fee that we were charged for him to come out and completely misdiagnose problem. If he had turned around in the shower and found the issue the first day, we would not have been charged the service fee. Also, if we had listed to him, our ceiling would have been torn apart and we would have spent thousands on repairs instead of fixing a $50 piece in under an hour.

He thoroughly explained the process to me in easy-to-understand terms and kept me updated during the process of clearing the sewer line.
