I called other plumbers, but these guys came out within an hour. The plumber was fast and efficient. He had all the parts on the truck and did an excellent job. I would recommend this company, and will use again if I have a need.

Understandably Roto-Rooter has a great reputation, so many call this company when needed, knowing the high level of service they provide, and then never consider evaluating them on Yelp. Although I have never hesitated telling people how great they are.
Today, Roto -Rooter sent Robert out for and emergency back up clearance (something that has to be done every other year in our neighborhood). He, was thorough and knowledgeable. As always we were very pleased with the outcome. I'm so glad we learned about Roto-Rooter years ago, so we always have had great outcomes, when we needed their help.
PS our mailman remarked he has seem Roto-Rooter trucks numerous times in our neighborhood today. BTW Our city pretends all of our back ups are not something having to do with the city's sewer system....hmmmm

Roto rooter called First and gave me an appointment. They gave me a yelp discount and their man, Justin was right on time. A very polite and personable young man. I really liked Justin. He showed a lot of ingenuity and real persistence to get this problem solved quickly. He listen to me when I explain to him what the problem was and got right to it. It was a nasty job he had to put his hands down the drain and I really felt sorry for him for having to do that but he was very cheerful and willing to do it and get the job done. He checked one drain for me that was sort of an extra on the job. And that was very sweet of him to do that I was worried about that drain. He is a very smart and able young man they are lucky to have him. I was so glad that that's who they sent me I would call them again if I needed them.

They do NOT serve customers 24 hrs! It's a LIE!!! We had a pipe leak in the evening and called them to send someone out. They assured us they would but nobody came. We called again multiple times to confirm if someone was dispatched already. Finally the next morning they said the crew was on a job all night and that they could send some late morning. Worst customer service! Call around but don't use this company.

Apparently the Fremont, Oakland, Tracy and TriValley location are of the same owner.

Trying to be proactive with a sewer line that backs every few years. Roto Rooter is the only company that has a camera for a two inch line. Costly but I am willing to pay for both looking at the line with a camera to see before and after effects of snaking the line with 2 inch blades.

Sean was great and showed before and after and tracked where the various bathroom lines are coming through.

Will use the Drainbo they sell to try to help with backups as well.

Have had two great informative visits with the people who work here. Pricey but recommend them if you have to deal with a 2inch line.

Roto rooter... big Disaster and I got cheated out $800 for a 3 hr crappy unfinished job. In the end I had to decide to buy the entire brand new faucet unit since the plumber destroyed what was pre installed.

The guy didn't even have proper tools to start with and I spent $265/ hr for his inefficient and amateurish execution.

My custom faucet and wood arrangement is now distorted with all the scratch marks that the plumber put in on wood. So much for professionalism.

Total disaster. If I had the time I would be suing their ass out. But I will let this one go as I am already stressed out from listing my house to sell.

My experience with Roto-rooter can be summed up to two words: Empty Promises.

I was referred to this company by my HOA agent, and I told the guy about my back to back shower and bathtub drainage problem. The guy on the phone promised it would be an easy fix, and he's going to send the most experienced guy (with over 30 years experience) out there to help and the whole thing will be done within an hour, I was relieved temporarily, so I scheduled a time window between 2-4pm.

Empty Promise #1: They didn't show up between the time window, instead I had to CALL IN at 4pm, and that's when they said the guys were behind with other jobs and wouldn't show up for another hour. So I just wasted my entire afternoon waiting, and the guy finally showed up at 530pm.

Empty Promise #2: Remember when the guy over the phone said he's going to send the most experienced guy over? Well that was another lie, they sent someone who is not nearly as experienced (he's very diligent though, so I have to give him credit for that), and after 2 HOURS of snaking, he couldn't fix the problem.

Empty Promise #3: So the guy couldn't fix the problem and had to call his supervisor in. We are now at 730pm, and I told both the guy and the supervisor that I don't want to cost to run over $500, the supervisor promised me he would fix it and I only had to give him $500 even though he went over time. Well....he spent another 1.5 hours there, and couldn't get it fixed. So now it's 9pm and he said the next step is to go on the roof and the cost will be $800 max, since it would be such an easy fix from the roof (WHAT HAPPENED TO THE $500 MAX PROMISE?)

Empty Promise #4: We agreed that night the supervisor's squad would come out at 730am next morning to fix the situation, but the squad didn't come until 930am. Another TWO HOUR DELAY, my wife and I couldn't shower and had to call in late for work. And surprise surprise, they went up the roof and the problem was STILL not fixed. And half the squad left my house unannounced, I had no idea they left completely and they didn't inform me of their procedure at all.

So nothing is fixed, the problem is worse since both the shower and bathtub are not draining AT ALL (before it was just draining very slowly). And the invoice is sitting at $800. Their proposed next step is to break open the wall to change the pipes, and it will be another $1000. THAT'S $1800 TOTAL FOR ANOTHER POTENTIAL EMPTY PROMISE...Really disappointed with my experience with Roto-Rooter, did I mention they also left both my bathrooms really dirty WITHOUT CLEANING after they gave up trying to fix the drain?

I called around one and they were there by 3, friendly staff. First hour is $262.75 but if u mention the yelp coupon u get $30 off. He was able to snake the kitchen sink and the toilet upstairs, just to clear it, within an hour. Corey helped us and he was great! Thanks again.
