I had a major water leak affecting three rooms. I called water restoration at Roto Rooter and they came out the very next day. The team I had was Andy, Tim and Pablo (plumber). They were so professional and courteous. They advised me of everything they were doing every step of the way. They were always punctual and as this was quite an extensive job they even came out every day during the drying process to check on it. They were very concious of inconveniencing me and did the job as smoothly as possible. I have an indoor cat and they were very aware of her in making sure all doors were closed at all times so she could not get out. I would highly recommend Roto Rooter to all my associates. They also wore masks at all time, which was comforting to me. GREAT TEAM!! This review is from VENTURA. NOT SAN FRANCISCO AS IS SHOWING UNDER MY NAME.

We had a plumbing catastrophe at our house. Our bathtub had a clog that could not be removed and it turned out that the pipes under the house were completely corroded. Joseph De La Cruz and his son came promptly--wearing masks--and evaluated the situation. It turned out that the plumbing in both bathrooms had to be completely replaced. It was a huge job, but Big and Little Joe were both pros. They were very considerate of the ways the work was interfering with our lives. They let us know what was happening all the time and they made sure we had access to at least one bathroom as much of the time as possible. They also showed us all of the pipes they needed to remove and made what needed to be done very clear to us.
I recommend them without hesitation or reserve. They were kind, considerate, and professional.

Horrible customer service, disconnected water lines and did not reconnect, also tried to sell me a ""solution"" for $3,500 which was discounted and turns out that was a lie since my actual plumber I use for all my properties was able to get back to me. He informed me roto rooters service solution was completely wrong, they also tried to say they couldn't snake or use a camera when it turns out that they actually could. They were trying to put me into a corner of one single solution that wouldn't have solved the problem and would cause me to give them $3,500 plus whatever else would end up being the actual solution. Clean up crew also never showed up, never called me so I was left finding an emergency service which actually showed up and helped me. So you tell me who would you pick as a service? Definitely not these dishonest, unreliable, and unprofessional people

These guys are crooks. They overcharge and recommend stuff you don't need. Joseph De La Cruz is a swindler. Use someone else.

I have elderly neighbors who recently had some water damage at there home in Newbury Park. I try to keep a watchful protective eye out for them.

Andy Lane showed up to do the job and the guy works hard, showed up early over multiple days and sincerely cares about his customers. He went the extra mile and deserves this complement and review.

I called Roto Rooter at around 4:45pm on 2/15 and explained that I needed to replace the angle valve in my bathroom because it was leaking and I did not know where the shut-off is for the house (I'm a renter). I asked for an estimate over the phone, and the representative said they assess the problem for FREE and give an estimate before doing any work. Fine by me.

When the plumber arrived a little after 6pm, he was able to locate the shutoff valve just outside my house within seconds and easily turn off the water. He then asked if I was going to replace the part myself or wanted him to do it. I asked for the price, and was told $375. I turned it down because it was too expensive.

He then said I need to pay a $80 service charge. I asked, ""for pointing out the shutoff and pulling it up?"" He said he turned the water off and explained how it works and that was the service. I refused the fee and explained that the phone rep said estimates are given before any work is done. He then promptly left.

I called back on 2/17 and explained the situation, asking if that is standard procedure. The rep said ""no,"" apologized, and said she'd look into it. Either what the plumber did is considered service and he should have explained that outright at the start, or he was trying to swindle me. Either way, terrible customer service on the plumber's end.

I had a great experience with Vicente's crew in Santa Barbara. Until calling Roto-Rooter, I had difficulty getting anyone to respond to my requests for service. They responded in a timely fashion and were available to do the work immediately. They were professional and efficient and tidy. I had them install a trenchless liner into my 100 yr old sewer line. They were very knowledgeable and gave me options. I found their prices comparable to others. It may not have been the cheapest, but they certainly made up for it in their great service.

Feeling like I've just been taken to the cleaners. We were just charged $1,200 to clear a main drain. I've never paid more than $250 for this in the 37 years I have lived here and had this done multiple times. For some reason, Roto Rooter techs said they couldn't clear the drain using the tried and true snaking machine and had to use their fancy hydrojet. It took about 15 minutes and $1,200. And, they are coming back tomorrow, probably to try to get more money. This sure feels like a rip off, even tho the techs were polite. Not planning on using Roto Rooter again.

We had a water leak in a hillside home on Christmas day 2020. We were out of the state so our cat sitters called ROTO-ROOTER 800-491-7686 OR 805-620-7875. A technician arrived in about twenty minutes. He thought it was sewer water and called a restoration technician. The 2nd technician cleaned up the water from a 10 x 5 tiled bathroom, applied a cleaner to the tile and was gone in under an hour. The bill was $500.00. He called me and suggested that I hire a leak detection group wih his firm that would start at $700.00. I said that I needed to wait until I was home to take a look at the problem. I approved the payment of $500.00. The plumbing technician was
unable to find the source of the water seepage after two hours of searching.
He called me and I thanked him, approved his invoice for $379.00. I went under the house on 12/28 and found the source of the leak in 15 minutes
behind the wall for the shower.

Please do yourself a favor and never use Roto Rooter! I got charged 3 times more than the job was worth and the pipe didn't even line up with the existing pipe. Sadly I learned after the fact. I did contact them to inform them of of the poor job and pricing and since I had signed a contract they were unwilling to help. Zero integrity zero stars! Seriously don't know how they stay in business taking advantage of people like that.
