My home was built in 1960. I have had plumbing issues for 20 years. Each time something would happen we would call a plumber. It became a regular nightmare. Finally last week, the lines plugged again, but couldn't be opened. Instead of doing a quick fix, I wanted to know what was going on and fixed for good. We called Roto Rooter and Jesse came the next morning. Upon trying to fix the problem he talked with us and said he would need to have his supervisor come. They came out and did a thorough inspection of my entire house. FINALLY! He gave me a price to fix the problem and Jesse took over and proceeded to fix everything. They used cameras and showed every crack in the drains and what they had to do. It was not cheap but I didn't expect it to be. What I wanted is to have it fixed. The repair took several days and Jesse did a wonderful job. He was polite and let us know every step of the way what they were doing. He was here every morning and stayed late some nights. I absolutely recommend Roto Rooter to do any plumbing work you need. They are the best team I have ever worked with.

While the company's charges seem excessive, the service was excellent. Technician Juan Carlos Cortes Chavez (Ventura County, CA) was highly professional: punctual, conscientious, thorough, knowledgeable, and fair-minded.

Jesse (Jesus) Torres did a great job of managing the project (Nov 10, 2021) and fixing a tough sewer pipe blockage. It was an all day job because we couldnt find the clear-out and had to do it from inside, but he was full speed all day, constantly problem-solving with various pieces of equipment and didnt even stop for lunch. He helped me keep the hoses away from things I wanted kept clean, then disinfected afterwards. It is easy to tell when someone cares that the customer's needs are met and wants to do the job right, I felt obliged to leave a review. Thanks Jesse.

We had a tough clog in our guest bathroom bathtub drain pipe. Made an appointment for the following morning and Jesse from Roto-Rooter was sent to help us. He snaked the drain with two different snakes without success hitting the same stubborn spot. He advised a hydro jet at a reasonable price and left to come back with the equipment. On the way back he brought another snake to give it one last attempt before hydro jetting. Third time was a charm and it broke thru the clog. Jesse was honest and attempted all he could before moving on to the next potential solution and luckily we had success. Jesse was super informative on ways to maintain these infrequently used pipes going forward. He had a positive and calm demeanor and was a hard worker. It was truly a pleasure having him help us out and highly recommend.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! I had a horrible experience with them. I called them to unclog my main drain on my house. The plumber showed up and put a snake down the drain and told me he couldn't go past the back flow valve and that I would need to get a camera down there to see where the back up was. He called his supervisor Vincente who brought the camera over. Vincente also wouldn't put the camera past the back flow valve claiming it would get stuck and he'd have to dig up my driveway to get it out and told me I would need to Hydro Jet the line to clear it up and told me the back up was caused by the back flow valve. He charged me $1250.00 to Hydro Jet my drain line. He also told me I had to replace the valve and gave me a quote for almost $6000 with the discounts! The hydro jet unclogged it and the water was going down. However a day later, the line was backed up again. So I called Vincente and told him it was backed up again and wanted him to come back to fix it or give me my money back. He immediately got defensive and told me he wouldn't give me my money back because I didn't get the valve replaced. When he said he would send the plumber back, I asked him to wait so I could get a second opinion. Well the next plumber had no problem putting his snake or his camera past the back flow valve and he found the real problem about 20 feet further down the drain line. I had roots growing in to my drain which he cleared with a snake, no problem. Then he put his camera down the drain to find it was offset from the city connection and I had him fix it. I also got a quote from him to fix the back flow valve as it was definitely wearing but still worked. He did the valve fix for $2000! And this was a fully licensed well reviewed plumber who gave me a 15 year warranty with it as well. Thats $4000 less than what Roto Rooter quoted me. I had the valve and the offset pipe fixed for less than the quote for just the valve from Roto Rooter. These guys are total scammers and prey on homeowners who the assume don't know anything about plumbing! I told Vincente while he was here that I thought there was a block further down the line but he refused to put his snake or camera down the drain far enough to see the real problem. So you'd think that Vincente and Roto Rooter would do the right thing and refund my $1250 I paid for a service they did that didn't solve the problem but nope! These guys solution to my problem was completely wrong and they charged up the wazoo! Heres a message for Roto Rooter: Refund my money now! How dare you charge me for services that didn't work. If I could give you ZERO stars on the review I would!

Overpriced and under performed. I had a blocked sewer line from my house on Saturday July 3, and toilet sewage (a nice term for sh*t) was coming up out of the clean out on the front walkway. I told the scheduler that it was a tree root issue and to please have the technician prepared to deal with the problem when they arrived. The guy came (a nice guy), inspected and informed me that I had a tree root problem. That cost me $275. He then told me that they needed to video inspect and hydro jet for a combined cost of over $2,000, on top of the $275 I had already paid. When I balked at the price he told me that a supervisor would come out that evening at 5pm to speak with me and to see if they could do anything better. So apparently this service is a negotiated price - what the market will bear? The supervisor never showed up at 5pm and I received no call or email informing me that he wouldn't be coming.

I was able to call another company that evening. The guy who came out was very nice and professional and took care of the problem right away. For $600. I won't be calling Roto-Rooter again.
