I called them at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon. They never showed and it's now 5:50 p.m. I even gave them extra time without complaining. So I called and asked when someone was coming. They said that they aren't coming today and that they have rescheduled me for in the morning and if I want them to come out tonight, it will be extra. I demanded to speak to the girl I spoke with and they said no. They refused to budge. I told them that I will pay another company extra and to cancel the visit in the morning. I will NEVER call them again, ever. UPDATE (1 week later): When I posted this, I had not yet called someone else (due to the after hours). I ended up calling Cottage Hill Plumbing who were very nice. However he did say that he was an indoor plumber and didn't want to charge me unnecessarily if it was an outdoor problem. He walked me through how to check to see what I needed, and then recommended Billy's Outhouse for outdoor plumbing. I loved them! I now highly recommend them and am about to write a review on them both as well; Cottage Hill for not charging me for something I didn't need and Billy's Outhouse for their wonderful service.

Use another plumbing company if you are able. This company is SNEAKY and expensive. Ask for an itemized list for work performed and you get the run around. Hiring someone to do re work because roto rooter failed to do what they came to do is infuriating!

I had a sink to pull away from the wall and called Roto Rooter to see if they could fix it. They said they could and sent someone out to look at it that same day. They said it needed a new bracket and would have to order one due to the age of the sink. A week went by and no word. I called and the receptionist said she'd have them call me back. No one returned my call. This went on weekly for 3 weeks. They did tell me that they had already ordered the bracket. I gave them one more week, still nothing. I did let them know that they have a lousy way of doing business. I found an independent plumber who came out to look at it and returned the next day and fixed our problem. He didn't have to order the bracket. RR might be good at unclogging but they are not fixit guys.

I live in an apartment complex that's undergoing renovations, and my landlords decided to commission these hacks to give us all new toilets. Not only did they leave a mess on my bathroom floor, install the toilet poorly, and stain my hallway carpet while I was at work- they left without locking my front door. I wouldn't trust these morons to unclog a drain. Hire someone else.

Thank you Chipper and Trey for un clogging our drain! These men are true professionals and saved the day after 7 days of backed up drains and two other fly by night so called plumbing companies sent out by our home warranty company that didn't want to and know how to do their job! You guys were great! I am so pleased with the service we received and will always only use Roto rutter and recommend my friends and family use you also! The price was great too!

HORRIBLE EXPENSIVE EXPERIENCE.. CALL AROUND FIND A HONEST COMPANY. I will never use them again. Called previously after hours was told an rough estimate. Decided to wait till the next business day to save money. Plumbers showed up without notifying us they where on the way, after dispatch told me they would notify me. WHICH IS ANOTHER CLEVER WAY TO GET MONEY, YOUR TIME START WHEN THEY PULL UP AT THE RESIDENCE!! After we arrived to the rental property 20 minutes later because we where not notified they where on the way. The plumbers identified the issue, plumbers didn't have the part on hand so they left to pick up the correct part. ANOTHER WAY TO PUSH YPUR LABOR TIME FORWARD. (Plumbers where gone roughly an hour, never mentioned we will be charged for the time they left the property to get the part) They returned, fixed the issue and my price trippled because they charge by the hour and you're still being charged while they go get the part they didn't have on hand. (which was just a pvc pipe). The total was ridiculously high, people do your research, read reviews on all sites before you call this company.

We had a pumping of our septic tank scheduled, and the pumping guys came and said there was an issue with the septic tank. So they called the service technician for a diagnosis, and having him come down cost my mom $60. The service technician came down said something along these lines """"that the outlet line was in an incorrect place and they had to reroute the entire system."""" They said that how our septic tank was set up is illegal and needed to be corrected immediately. He said this would cost $450, so we agreed. The pumping team and technician left and another team came down. The next team said that the outlet pipe was going to where it needed to go, it was just crooked. And they needed to straighten the first 2 feet of it. There are either one of two problems happening: 1. The technician was wrong and we paid $60 for a bad diagnosis. And on top of that we were charged $450 for a procedure that was alot simpler than """"rerouting the entire system"""" (I was overcharged). 2. The technician was right and I paid $450 but the problem wasn't fixed by the next team. I've called Roto Routers twice to try to have this cleared up. Each time they said that they'll have someone call me back..and they never do. Sad.

I hardly ever write reviews/ But, DO NOT USE this company. If I could give 0 stars, I would. First, when I set the appointment they stated they could not give me any specific time that they would be able to come, Unless I wanted the 830 appointment which she stayed stayed at was the """"only guaranteed appointment"""" of the day, So I took that and took a few hours off of work to accommodate this. I also explained exactly what the problem was how many tubs and sinks I needed to have snaked and cleared, and she quoted me a price range between 180 to 250, depending on how long each took. NOTHING was said about additional fees for the number of lines cleared. The day of the appointment came, the tech did not arrive until 930, he also did not know any of the information that I had discussed with the person that took the appointment, even that it was a condo that I owned. He tried to argue with me that he had to check in at the office. Then, the drain cleaning was at the most adequate, and no more than id done myself in the past with a snake. So, still nothing here still drains very well. And he just kept saying """"this ya the best these lines will drain""""... I don't really believe that, but whatever. In the end, I got the receipt from him to pay the bill which is now $370! (Which is 120 over the top end of what I was quoted on the phone). I'm not complaining about the tech. He was fine. I won't say he went out if his way to do anything spectacular- but he was not a bad guy or tech. My problem is with the a actual company, and their way of """"doing business"""", As I just was basically baited and switched.... however, I couldn't argue with with the tech about payment, as I know he has no control over this.... and he's just the messenger. Which I told him numerous times. When I called the company after, was I frustrated/ yes. I was trying to tell the girl why - as she said she had to know to """"pass it along to the right person"""" she then kept cutting me off saying """"we never guarantee, the 830 is a guaranteed first spot, but it might be 930 before arrival""""... what??? I will not lie/ I kept saying. Ma'am just please listen to me and my complaint- and she kept talking over me- which admittedly I got super upset. I finally said - """"I have other issues, but I'm not discussing them with you, i was t a supervisory owner to call me."""" She said she wouldn't even pass a message Until I told her all of my issues. So I did- I don't expect to EVER hear from them- but I will scream from the rooftops about what poor customer service they give, and only adequate repairs. DO NOT USE this company.

I'm surprised to see all the bad reviews of this company! I had to use them twice in a one month period to do septic tank work at my house and water heater work at my parents house and although I had to wait a long period of time for them to come out (being that I was put on a waiting list) they did show up and went right to work! Within an hour or so they had everything working and good as new. Recommended!

Beware of this company. Had an issue, and they were quick to point out they are a Roto-Rooter an """"independent franchise"""", (DHS, Inc. Mobile, AL.), and NOT actually part of the Roto-Rooter corporation at all. So basically don't call them based on the Roto-Rooter name, or reputation. They are NOT Roto-Rooter, you are basically dealing with a independent contractor. By the way you will only find one review on yelp greater than one star by a Greg S. It's under the not recommend review. Funny the president of this group happens to be listed as Greg Smith. Don't think it could be the same person do you??? When your only positive review is your president you know your a good group! LOL
