Our recent experience with Roto-Rooter Plumbing of Anchorage was absolutely outstanding.
Their staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and they complete the job in a timely and competent manner.
We noticed that their work was consistent and meticulous.
The professionals at Roto-Rooter took care of every plumbing issue we had.
I appreciate how they communicated throughout the process.
All in all, I endorse Roto-Rooter for their plumbing solutions.

This Roto-Rooter franchise in Anchorage, Alaska is extremely disappointing. To summarize, the $900 job they did was unsatisfactory and consumed an entire day. They kept promising to return and fix the issue, but that was several months ago. I was told that the plumber responsible for the job had a drug problem and was fired. They assured me it would be rectified at their cost. After numerous phone calls and promises, nothing has been resolved. The most recent update was a few weeks back. The office manager claimed that the owner's daughter had stolen her identity and a significant amount of money. She moved the office and files to her condo, which she said she couldn't afford. How is it possible for someone to relocate a business from its premises to their own? If her identity was compromised, what happens to the customers' credit card information and personal details? I was assured that someone would rectify the situation at Roto-Rooter's cost promptly. “Randy” was meant to show up at 9 a.m. the next day, prioritized. When he failed to show up by 10 a.m., I reached out. He claimed he “overslept.” Someone else was supposed to contact me as a priority but never did. That was a few weeks back. I advise against doing business with this company. We opted for them because of the Roto-Rooter reputation. The Better Business Bureau is currently investigating a complaint. They are struggling to find someone accountable for this franchise. This franchise lacks proper licensing and bonding.

On Thursday, I needed a valve under my sink repaired. They were two hours behind schedule for the appointment. They failed to restore the water supply to my dishwasher after fixing the valve. I faced a holiday weekend without a working dishwasher. I tried to reach out, but they refused to return my calls. I would not suggest Roto-Rooter to anyone.
On Thursday, I had a valve under my sink that needed fixing. They showed up two hours after the scheduled time. After completing the work, they neglected to turn the water back on for my dishwasher. I was without a dishwasher during the holiday weekend. I tried to get in touch, but they would not return my calls. I do not think Roto-Rooter is a good choice.
On Thursday, I had a valve under my sink that needed fixing. They showed up two hours behind schedule. They failed to restore the water supply to my dishwasher after the service. It was a holiday weekend, and I had no dishwasher. I called them several times, but they did not respond. I would not suggest Roto-Rooter to anyone.

I couldn't be more satisfied with the service I received from this plumbing company. The experience was fantastic for us.
I reached out one evening, and they arrived the next day at the time they indicated.
The technician, James was courteous, capable, taking safety precautions and completed the job correctly.
I suggest their services.

I contacted the plumbing service twice to unclog his toilet. Each time, my client reached out at 9 am on a weekend day, and was told that they only had tech available. The service suggested to come on Monday or to pay $281.25 for after-hours service.
He informed about what they said. Knowing that my client couldn't be without a toilet over the weekend and couldn't afford the emergency fee, I call Roto-Rooter again. I detailed that my client uses an electric wheelchair, is homebound, and only has one bathroom. The representative replied, "Oop, we just had a cancellation." My client managed to get a visit later that day, but he paid $179.
Fast forward to today... my client reached out again, and the service gave the same response as before: "They only have one tech and they can do it Monday or pay $281.25 for after-hours service." Once again, my client called me to let me know that the service couldn't assist until Monday. So, I called them again to discuss the situation and see if they could offer any way to get him in today. Regrettably, I had no luck this time. The representative said my client could either pay for after-hours service or wait until Monday.
I then reminded her that my client called at 9 am and that Roto-Rooter promises same-day service. She said we could get it, but he would have to pay after-hours prices. Feeling desperate to help my client, I to speak to the manager. The representative said she was the manager. I asked for her name. She said Tasha Odom. Then, I asked if she was the owner, and she said yes. I by asking if she was the sole owner, and the representative said no. I then asked who the other owner was, the representative said I had to ask in writing and then ended the call.
I don't know who else in town will snake toilets, but I am really disappointed in the ownership at this franchise. I believe their customer service is subpar and reflects badly on the Roto-Rooter name.

I find it difficult to articulate my disappointment with this company. This company is by far the most chaotic I've dealt with.
I set up a service for a specific day, yet it appears the plumber was not notified to arrive at our residence. There appears to be a significant communication gap among the staff. They failed to appear, and the next day they gave a time window, yet an hour and a half later, there was still no sign of them. There was no phone call to update me on their tardiness, absolutely nothing. I had to call them to cancel, and that's when I learned the plumber was coming from Anchorage. I was also coming from Anchorage! I thought it was unreasonable to say they'd be there in 30 minutes and then keep me waiting for an hour and a half. I seriously question whether he was ever going to show up.
They showed no concern about our decision to cancel. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I recommend reaching out to another provider. You are wasting your time if you think Roto-Rooter will show up.

On day 2 of waiting for Roto-Rooter to service our house. They did not call us to inform us that they were running late. This lack of communication is disappointing. If you have an emergency, it is best not to count on them.
We have been waiting for Roto-Rooter for two full days, they have not reached out to us to update us about their delay. I am quite frustrated by this. In an emergency situation, it is wise to look elsewhere.
Two days have passed since we expected Roto-Rooter to arrive, yet we have not received any updates. This reflects a lack of professionalism. If you have a plumbing emergency, I would advise against counting on them.

I contacted Roto-Rooter because my kitchen sink had drainage issues. Their team was quick to respond, but once the technician got here, he used a snake on the pipe lacking an auger. This meant, he wasn't able to break the clog.
Following two hours of work, he expressed regret and told me to call another company. The worker didn't show much concern. This was quite a frustrating situation. I found myself giving him towels and cleaning the floor after him. I would not recommend this company. You may end up frustrated.
