My parents garage ceiling was leaking pretty badly during the Corona quarantine and I was having trouble finding a plumber. Greg Rossi was recommended to me by a friend and was able to do the job in jiff!! The price was also very reasonable! I will definitely use Greg Rossi for any future plumbing needs!
I was referred to Rossi Plumbing through my home warranty company, American Home Shield (AHS). My hot water tank pilot light kept going off at random times. I contacted AHS and they assigned my issue to Rossi Plumbing. Greg Rossi reached out to me promptly and asked for a description of the problem and asked for a picture of the label on the side of the hot water tank so he could bring the correct part to the house. The next day he came to the house (it was around 8PM) and he replaced the faulty part. Although it was late and he had a long day because of an unexpected emergency plumbing issue, he was professional and promptly performed the repair. I would recommend this company. Thank you Greg!
This was the third plumber that came out to fix a simple problem with the water going to our fridge through AHS. He quickly fixed the problem and was in and out in 15 minutes. Not sure why the other plumbers couldn't do this but he quickly went to work and took care of everything in short order.
Total scam artists when it comes to coverage through American Home Shield.
Use a loop hole in the contract to extort money from the homeowner for a repair that is covered.
Nothing wrong with the workers that came out and did the job, but their hands are tied by the owner Greg.
Charged hundreds of dollars for so called modifications that were not performed.
Old water heater was taken out and the new sits in the exact same spot.
They cut pipes a bit to fit with the new model but that's it.
In and out in around an hour.
Very shady business practice
After 2 calls to have the initial problem diagnosed, and 2 more calls to say I had the part, Greg never called back to schedule the repair. Unreliable if he doesn't think its important. Big disappointment
Greg was called to my home by HSA Home Warranty to repair our malfunctioning hot water heater. Since he was the second plumber in two days sent to my home by HSA, the first one not being qualified to even LOOK at my hot water heater, I asked him about the first plumber's diagnoses -- that my swimming pool, a ""silently running toilet""(?), or a low operating temp (that had NEVER been changed) might be causing us to run out of hot water. A cantankerous Greg told me that none of those options even made sense.
He seemed extremely annoyed to have to come to my house in bad weather. (Sorry our hot water heater didn't break at a more convenient time, Greg!) Tested both elements, wouldn't even let me finish about what had happened or what we had done about it, and pronounced it in working order if not for the low temp. (Even though he had said that didn't make sense -- still doesn't WHEN IT HASN'T CHANGED IN 6 YEARS!)
When I told him that 6 years ago when it broke before, a tech pulled a corroded element out of it, said it was probably going to fail due to hard water in our home, and wished us well, I also asked if, since it's 11 years old now, it could be clogged with hard water sediment. Greg said it was possible and was walking up the stairs to leave when he said he'd ask HSA if he could replace it, but that he ""didn't feel like waiting on hold anytime soon"". He said someone would be in touch.
I got tired of waiting for a functional hot water heater in winter, so I called HSA SIX hours later. Greg still hadn't given them his report and wouldn't answer his calls from them. A supervisor was able to get him on his emergency line and authorized the replacement pending Greg's report, that was to corroborate my story of the events -- he tested it, said it was a low temp but that it was old and it was possible it was filled with sediment causing us to run out of hot water prematurely. Greg just told him that I needed instruction in how to turn up the temp of the unit.
Everybody has bad days and nobody likes to drive in bad weather, but Greg SCREWED us out of a working hot water heater because he was such a curmudgeon.
I would NEVER hire this man even to take out my trash, let alone trust him with my family's safety. And I will NOT be a customer of HSA for long because they actually trust him! Meanwhile, we have an 11 year old, 80 gallon hot water heater that can't even provide enough warm water for a child's bath, and the best recommendation is to scald our children by turning up the temp. This man needs to learn to be a better HUMAN, not just a better plumber!
Stephen S.Had a massive leak from tub and it flooded two floors of the house.
1st plumber wanted 3 grand to rip up bathroom floor and replace all drain lines.
Greg Rossi came in and looked at it for 10 seconds before informing me it was a cracked tail pipe on our shower drain and fixed it in 15 minutes for $135.
Issue is fixed perfectly! Can't recommend him enough.
J.G. S.My landlord in Brewerytown arranged for Rossi Plumbing to come over and fix a leak under our kitchen sink. Greg Rossi arrived with a young boy (an apprentice?) and he spent no more than 10 minutes allegedly fixing the leak. Frankly, I paid little attention to what he was doing. He left with hardly a word.
A day later, when using the garbage disposal, there was a terrible crash and the entire system of pipes under the sink fell apart. Water and vegetable matter spewed everywhere.
I called my landlord (who is a great guy), and after a few days, my landlord called back and said that we should expect the Rossi crew within the hour.
The Rossi crew showed up again. This time, a different gentleman was at the door. He did not introduce himself but I saw the blue van outside marked Rossi and this new fellow seemed pleasant enough so I led him back to the kitchen. As he got down to work, I asked him if he was the same guy who had fixed the leak the last time -- as I could not really remember what he looked like -- and he said no. The guy who had done the work the last time was waiting in the van.
That seemed a bit odd but I went about my business and let him do his thing. He worked on the pipes for about 10 minutes and then got up and went back outside. I assumed he was looking for a new part. Anyway, when he returned, Greg Rossi came in with him.
Again, they worked unsupervised in the kitchen for another 5-10 minutes. Then, I heard the garbage disposal working and I figured they were testing it out. So, I got up as they began to make their way to the front door.
""Just a minute,"" I said to Greg Rossi. ""Do you mind if I check it before you take off.""
Well, apparently he did. He got agitated but said, ""Sure."" I turned on the water and tested the disposal to make sure that this time the vibrations didn't shake the whole thing loose. I also asked him what he and his associate had done and he became very agitated and started to raise his voice as if I were hard of hearing; I am not. So, I asked him why he was raising his voice as I was rather surprised, and said, ""I'm not hard of hearing. Why are you raising your voice at me."" Well, that threw him over the edge. He grew red in the face and -- again, in a loud voice -- said that whoever had previously worked on the pipes had done a bad job.
I countered by saying, ""But you were the guys here last week that did the work which fell apart. If the pipes were badly configured the last time, why didn't you just fix it then?"" He became more and more strident in his responses, saying that he wasn't responsible. I again said, ""All I know is that you allegedly fixed it last week but you actually made a small leak much worse because the whole thing fell apart."" At that point, he began to storm off, red-faced and furious, saying, ""Thanks for the vote of confidence!"" in a very sarcastic voice.
Frankly, I was a little worried he might have a heart attack. So, I said, ""You need to calm down. I don't know why you're shouting at me. All I can do is judge you on the empirical evidence. And that evidence is that you did the work last week and that work failed. So, of course, you can understand that I'm a bit skeptical.""
By then, he was at my front door. He threw it open and without another word, took off down the steps. HIs associate was still outside, and I said to both of them, ""This is terrible customer service. I'll make sure to let my landlord know about my experience.""
DO NOT EVER HIRE THESE GUYS. Clearly, Greg Rossi has anger management problems. Perhaps there is something else going on in his life stressing him out but that doesn't mean he should be taking his issues out on paying customers.
Do yourself a favor. Click on and find yourself another plumber. This guy Greg Rossi seems to have a screw loose and he may very well make you feel unsafe in your own home.
Gale P.Had a blocked pipe. They were out the same day. It was better for me to reschedule for the next day and the plumber, Ryan, was here before 8 am. He had to put an access door on the pipe and was done the repair and cleaned up in 30 minutes. Explains clearly and cleaned up beautifully!!! Highly recommended.
Greg Rossi has been taking care of all my personal and business plumbing, heating and air conditioning needs and he is fabulous. He's quick to respond and he stands behind all of his work. A true God send.
