I was super disappointed either their work. They didn't put the toilet back on properly. Now almost 6 months to the day I suddenly have a huge sink hole in my yard where they did the work!
Dave came out to follow up on a previous call to ensure all was going well. Rooter Town cares about its customers. Would recommend and use again!
Richard F.Scam. Told me I had an unfixable block and it would be $6800 to excavate the driveway and fix the pipe. I told them I wanted I a second opinion and that I would call them back. Called me back 5 minutes later and said his manager dropped the price to $5000 if I acted right then.
Reading through other reviews makes it look as though they've run this exact scam on other people too.
I got another company over to look at it and they said the sewer line has a few small roots coming in that caused the block but it was easily fixable. They said the sewer line is in great shape and they sent me the video proving it.
Forget these guys.
They showed up on time both times I had them come out. snaked the drain found a clog and said we need to do a power wash so we did. 400 dollars later I used my sink to do dishes found a leak in the same pipeline they power washed it had them come out again to figure out what happen and they told me at would be another 400 dollars to get the pipe replaced. I made them leave. I fixed the pipe myself and found the pipe was not clean at all so they didnt even do what they said they did. Never using them again never going to recommend them to anyone.
Jacob B.Dave came by and diagnosed our problem right away. He's really friendly, professional and clearly great at his job.
CL T.Shame on this company! I had a main sewer line clog, it happens every 2 yrs or so, no biggie it just needs to be cleaned out.
Austin, the tech came out and said he was out 60ft or so and was hitting a huge block and said there was mud or something and I should have a camera sent down the drain to see what was going on. I felt I had no choice so $95 turned into $390. The supervisor, Hudson (or Huston or something like that) said I had a disruption in the line and they could repair it for $6800 that day, he marked off where the disruption was and said they would go down several feet and do the repairs. Sounded reasonable except that the line is in the middle of the yard NOT where Hudson (or Huston or something like that) said it was. I told the man I wanted to get a second opinion and the price dropped to $5k if I did it right now. He then offered to do a waterjet cleaning for $800 and would not discount the $390 I already paid (Austin said it would be discounted toward). It's so too bad this company feels they have to cheat people! :(
Ian J.What a bunch of incompetent scammers.
I ordered service - they gave me a window today from 2:00-4:00. About 4:45 a technician shows up. Without even bothering to try and perform the requested service he tells me its $395 to ""diagnose"" the problem. I have an old house - I do this every year. I don't need him to diagnose anything - just clean the drain. I tell him to just leave. he wanders out to his truck, then comes back and tells me that he can do it for $300. Just stupid. I tell him to leave again. 5 minutes later another knock with another better offer. Sheesh - just avoid these fools. Wasted my whole day to try and rob me.
Jared G.I called and had a clogged toilet that had been giving me issues for about 6 months. The lady on the phone was polite and said they would come out and fix the toilet for $95. The young man who came, Caleb, was around his late teens or early 20's and I didn't really watch him but he augered the toilet and said it was flushing. In and out in about 15 minutes. The first time I flushed the toilet it clogged up again and I call back and they sent him back out with another young man, Aiden, around the same age as the first. I've been a commercial plumber for 15 years and I saw they repeated the process one time and the toilet still wasn't flushing that fast so I told them to snake it once or twice more. Aiden kept telling me that I should replace my toilet, which wouldn't have made a difference since the toilet works fine it was something that might have been flushed before I got the house and eventually it needed to be snaked. They snaked it again and now the toilet flushes great. The thing I didn't like about the service was obviously they make money on commission and Aiden kept hounding me to pay money for a toilet that flushes golf balls or some nonsense. I explained at the end that I know DWV systems like the back of my hand and to try and get people to pay extra money for something not needed is deceptive and wrong. Don't buy everything Aiden tries to sell you. In my opinion Parky's has plumbers that have been in the business for decades and do a really good job without trying to sell you a used car in the process. Another thing I didn't like was Aiden kept telling me that they have no warranty on the service work so he was going to do me a favor and not charge me for them coming out again. He said it 3 times. Of course the lady who I spoke with told me there's no charge and he just seems like he is a salesman who should be in a different business completely. Satisfied with the job but I'll probably not use the company again. The experience put a bad taste in my mouth.
Jack T.Rip off. Cleared out kithen drain with auger for $100 but then told me it needed to be power jetted for $395. I said no considering we used power augers for decades and they worked just fine. He left and 20 minutes later called me and he talked with his manager who said he could do it for $200 if I did it by 5pm. What crooks. Do not use them!!
Overall I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. It feels like a grift. $95 became $540
I called because I thought my main sewer line was clogged after every drain in my house stopped working. I called and was happy when the technician was at my house within the hour. After looking at the drains in my bathroom he suggested removing my toilet as the best option to accessing my main line. I brought up that I have an access outlet in my crawl space but he said that would be ""too hard"" and insisted removing my toilet was the best option.
That immediately added $150 to the advertised $95. I went along with it thinking that it would be worth it if it meant we could get this taken care of today. After an hour of working the technician told me he was unable to unclog my main line. That there was something blocking his way and he needed to get a camera to look and see what it is. But he couldn't do that himself, he'd have to call out his supervisor. I felt I had no other option at this point and agreed to the camera. That added another $300 to the total. The camera operator then went on to tell me that he couldn't unblock it either and that they needed to replace the closest 8ft of my sewer line. For $5800. After asking some more questions about payment and an actual start date for the work the technician tells me I'll be ok for tonight because the last guy was able to get the drain partially unblocked....even though they both just told me that they couldn't unblock it and I have to replace my line.
Looking at my invoice at the end, the original technician ran his snake out 100' but told
Me it was getting stopped at 15ft. Then charged me $300 for a supervisor to come out and tell me the exact same thing. To top it off they left my bathroom a mess when they were done. Grease and sewer gunk smeared around the tile floor, as well as gray water splashed on the walls.
I called someone else the next day, they used a camera FOR FREE, told me my pipe was fine as well as showed me the video. Both technicians from rooter town lied to me in order to upsell services. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
