had them come in to my house yesterday to unclog my kitchen sink drain. The technician stated that he ran the snake through the cleanout outside and it will not go past 10 ft. He suggested camera inspection and hydro jet All of a sudden a $54 unclogging job was turning into a $1,300 plus. I then explored them replacing the 15 ft section of my 3 inch cast iron drain pipe running through my basement. A technician went in the crawl space, reported a leak as well and quoted $6500 to replace the entire length of 20 ft pipe (29 ft straight Pope, one tee, one elbow, 4 couplers and very minor couple of ft of digging). Alternate was to replace only the 10 ft straight pipe (3 in ABS pipe, one elbow. 4 coiplers), price $3200.?
I let them go and I called my handyman. He snaked it at the same spot all the way and reported no blockage. Drain cleared and problem solved. He dud not even charge me for a 10 minute job. He also inspected the crawl space pipe and reported no leak there. He also said that to replace the 15 ft pipe ( which he said was not needed), 2 hrs of labor and $100 material. Rooter solutions wanted to charge over $3200, which will be almost $1600 an hour labor rate.

This is the 2nd time we used Rooter Solutions and both times we have had great service. This time around, Alfred came to my house. He was very personable and knowledgeable. Alfred fixed, replaced and installed parts. He was very thorough, explained the scope of work including the warranty. If there are future plumbing issues, we will be utilizing Rooter Solutions.

Avoid these scammers! I only gave them 1 star cuz you have to.
I had a simple clog in my kitchen sink drain and just wanted it cleared. They offered a $54 service so I gave them a try. They claimed they were getting dirt/mud in their rooter machine - meaning my pipe was broken and Sean - a manager (sales person) miraculously showed up with a camera and tried to sell me $17 thousand dollars worth of new plumbing that would require cutting through concrete in my garage etc. I was stunned to say the least and said I wanted to think about it (and get another quote). Called a friend whose BF is a plumber and he came out and cleared it in less than 15 mins - with no dirt/mud on the rooter. Total scam!!! Beware!!
