The president and owner of RooterMD Plumbing aims to distinguish his plumbing company from others by leveraging the latest technological advancements in the plumbing field to repair and enhance plumbing systems to a better-than-new state.
RooterMD Plumbing is among the few Michigan plumbers that offer Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) relining to rejuvenate damaged and aging pipes. Using epoxies, this pipe lining process restores failing pipes without the need to disturb lawns, trees, driveways, or roads. If you face issues with deteriorating pipes in Michigan, let RooterMD apply this ""no dig"" solution to your home or business. Moreover, if you have an older residence or commercial building, RooterMD Plumbing can utilize this technique to rejuvenate aging water pipes. This groundbreaking pipe lining technique avoids the need to excavate landscaping, keeping your property in pristine condition while lowering replacement costs and saving you money.
The Wood name carries a strong reputation across the plumbing sector in Michigan. As part of a family of plumbers, I am passionate about providing the best plumbing service possible to our customers.

Titania P.Amazing service! My water heater died and they were able to get a technician out to me the same day. Technician was respectful, gave me a detailed explanation of the problem, offered me a couple of repair options and completed the work within an hour. I highly recommend and will definitely call them first the next time.
I had a basement drain backup and scheduled to have service done, and they needed half of the payment up front just to schedule. They weren't able to come out for a week, then the morning of called me to reschedule. My main line was so bad I couldn't use any plumbing in my house and had to stay with family during this time until it could be fixed. I called another company and they were able to come out within a few hours and fixed my problem the SAME DAY! (And $100 cheaper) So on top of this whole stressful time I'm having to try to get a refund and had to dispute with my credit card company to help get my payment back. It took an entire month to get my money back!! Bad customer service, bad scheduling and they try to keep your money no matter what! Don't have service done from anyone who wants payment up front, I called 5 plumbing company's and no one else needed up front payment.
Julie A.Each interaction with RooterMD was carefully crafted with customer service in mind - from scheduling the appointment, to the branding on company trucks - no detail went unnoticed.
Two technicians came out to my house this morning in good spirits and fixed my well pump in no time flat.
Highly recommended!
I was out of town for two weeks and we developed a leak on our hot water heating system that heats our house. I don't know if it was because they knew I was away and that my wife is not the most experienced mechanical person but they quoted me/us a cost to repair that ended up being about THREE TIMES what we ended up paying elsewhere. When I was on the phone with the tradesman, before I told him I was going to look elsewhere, and I asked him what his quote was based on (Time and material) he said he was going to charge $180 / hour. This is when I sent him away. As I said, we ended up getting the problem (which shouldn't have been that big of a deal) fixed for a third of the cost. I feel they were trying to gouge my wife because they knew I was away and this really burns me up!! I am not going to be using them again and will never recommend them because, based on this experience, I don't trust them.
I needed my hot water heater drained and the magnesium rod replaced (to get rid of the smell in my hot water). The plumber quoted $385.00, and I paid it. The job took him 2 hours and required no parts ($192.00 / hour... not a bad deal for them)
After getting into it, the plumber found that the magnesium rod could not be removed since it had already corroded and fallen into the hot water tank. I understand, that's not his problem. He recommended a new water heater.
I wouldn't be writing this review if it weren't for the gas leak. As he was wrapping up, I mentioned that it smelled like gas. The plumber said that this was just the excess gas in the line and not to worry. A day later it smelled even worse. I had to hire another plumber to come fix the problem that (very likely) was caused by the first.
In total, I was out over $500 to be back to where I started. Very frustrated. I would not recommend this company.
After having another local plumber point the finger at my septic system, I was skeptical having had my tank pumped one year before. I wanted someone to take ownership of my problem, show me evidence of the problem, and fix the problem once and for all. Enter Kevin from Rooter MD! They took care of me. That's all I ask for. Kevin, and the entire Rooter MD team, were extremely professional and found the problem within 15 minutes. You cannot go wrong with these guys! It's a first class experience from beginning to end. Call them now.
I called RooterMD because they had good online reviews. The first job they came out for was done good enough and the guys that came out were professional and pleasant. Unfortunately, by the end of it I was second guessing my choice in companies. While they were writing up the job they randomly asked to look at my furnace, which had been working perfectly. They told me it was close to being shot and needed to be replaced soon. The quote they gave me seemed ridiculously high, and I was suspicious as to why they would even mention it. In the meantime, I had them coming out the next day for another issue and the man that came immediately was asking about my water heater (completely unrelated to what he was there for). He asked me a few questions about it and told me I probably need a new one. This was another red flag. That day I requested new furnace quotes from several other companies. All but one quoted me for nearly HALF what RooterMD was quoting me for. The company I ended up going with took a look at my water heater as I had asked them to, and they told me it did NOT need to be replaced yet. While the guys at RooterMD are nice enough and professional, they seem to be a complete rip off and will try to sell you on something else every time they come out. I highly suggest looking into other companies and getting multiple quotes before going with RooterMD. You could be saving yourself a lot of money in the end by going elsewhere!
Alex S.Their website offered me the drain cleaning for 149.99, when they got here, my service charge was 250.00
their website also promised running a camera through the drain before any service was attempted, and this was not done either.
they wanted to charge me 200 dollars to remove the toilet (I was able to do this while the plumber stood by, as an amateur I did this in 10 minutes, 200 dollars, really? for what?)
the auger that John used was apparently too large to make it through the drain, so he recommended trying another method. John's binder offered a satisfaction guarantee, which they did not fulfill, as the service was not complete. I felt like they tried to upsell me on their 'hydro-jetting service' more so than anything.
after calling and speaking with multiple supervisors, I asked to have my payment applied towards the hydro-jetting, since I had already spent more then half the cost on it, and was still without a working bathroom.
Pete Wood, supervisor, agreed to 100 dollar credit and sending another tech out to re-do the job.
on 1/29/14 he called me back, angry, screaming, saying that I was attempting to bully him into working for free (even though their service guarantee said that the job would be corrected for free, if it wasnt done satisfactory.) told me to take him to court if I want to see anything done again and hung up the phone on me.
We have had Rooter MD at our house many times for various things. It is a very professional company. They are reliable, neat, and informative.
We called RooterMD Plumbing to snake out our drain because it was backing up. When they arrived, my grandmother was there and they charged her $200.00 (which was 100.00 higher than any other company). 3 days later the drain was already backing up again. We called RooterMD Plumbing 3 days later and asked they send a man out on Monday to fix. The man came to our place on Monday and said they would not fix for free- even though we just paid to have it done 3 days earlier. When we asked how much they would charge - they just said whatever we charged you the first time - they would not even give us a dollar amount. They were completely unwilling to help even though we were without water with a new baby in the house. We ended up calling another company to fix the back up
