I am a Realtor in Sonoma County and frequently call Rooter-Man for sewer lateral inspections and other services.

However on November 4, 2022 I called for a very special reason...in the early morning hours we discovered that two of our kitties were trapped in 6"" pipe in a storm drain. We could hear the mournful cries coming from somewhere in over 100' of drainage lines. Pending weather called for rain and they surely would not make it.

I remembered that Tony at Rooter-Man had a special camera to find cracks in sewer lines and reached out to him at 6:00 AM via text. He immediately responded and had his son, Michael Morales arrive first thing in the morning. This type of service is rarely experienced but Michael and his crew took it to the next level.

After Michael identified where one of the kitties was stuck, we had our landscapers start digging up over 5' of dirt where the pipes were buried. Michael said it would take too long digging up by hand and offered to bring up an excavator to expedite the process. He also had a second camera with a longer reach. The evacuator was onsite in less than an hour and they sent the second camera down the storm drain.

We were about to dig up thousands of dollars of landscaping, site work, and drainage infrastructure to find the kitties. But with the skilled work of the Rooter-Man crew, they located the stuck kitty 85' into the pipes and encouraged her to leave using the camera, but the kitty could not turn around. So they gently pushed and motivated her to back out and it worked! The kitty was saved!

Then they did a second search of all the remaining drainage lines for the second kitty. You see, we lost our home in the Tubbs Fire, rebuilt in 2019, and connected drainage lines to the old system. We were worried the other kitty might be hiding somewhere in the old system. The Rooter-Man crew made sure we were confident that that no other cat was hiding in the system before they left. And late that night, the second kitty came back home!!

Although I recommended Rooter-Man before this incident, I wanted to share our unusual experience and the excellent service we received from this outstanding family owned business!

I am a property manager and have used rooter -man several times on commercial properties as well as residential properties and they always respond quickly and complete the job perfectly. Plus their prices are great ! They have done all kinds of plumbing jobs for me over the past couple years. They have fixed Leaks under the sink , leaks in the shower , water main leaks . I have also had them install septic lines . There staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend you calling them next time you need a good plumber .

We are so disappointed and appalled for what they charged us for the work they did. Yes, they did come out right away. Yes, they did fix the simple issue. My husband, retired from being in construction at one time knew it wasn't a complicated issue but needed to get it done as soon as possible for our tenants. The leak was outside, not far from the main. The water dept came out and found the leak. The pipe was 12-18 inches underground and he took LESS THAN AN HOUR from start to finish. He wanted to charge us $1200. for this job. My husband stated how fast and easy this job was and said he lower the charge to $1000.00. My husband was shocked at this price for the work done, but he had already done the work, so he paid him.
My husband then called and asked to speak to the owner to explain the job. We could see charging us $500.-$600. but $1000-$1200? Wow, OUTRAGOUS! My husband spoke to the owner, he was cold and said ""that's what we charge"". So, please be forewarned. Rooter-Man is a WAY overpriced. Shop around people, you can do better than this. We will NEVER use them again and advise others to look elsewhere for your plumbing needs.

Toilet running slow. Called at 11:30am. They said they'd be here between 12-1pm and they arrived at 12:45pm. Fixed the problem, cleanout leading to the septic tank. Excellent service. Would definitely use them again.

We periodically need to have the line from our house to the septic snaked due to tree roots growing over time. Mother's Day wasn't ideal timing but RM was up to the task. Gabe was on time, polite and very effective. Would definitely recommend Rooer-Man!
