I would just like to start out that it takes a lot for me to come on Yelp and leave a review for a service that was so terrible I felt the need to share so others don't experience the same issues. I could write a story book on all the issues we have had with this company but I'll just share the most recent one and this doesn't include the way both the office girl and manager spoke to my mother. First I would like to say their actual plumbers are very polite and respectful ITS THEIR ANSWERING STAFF that needs a revamp. They are rude and very condescending. I understand having to deal with upset costumers all day as no one wants to deal with plumbing issues but honestly maybe try another job that doesn't require socializing and having empathy for others. I called to get an estimated time as I'm a neonatal icu nurse who works night shift. I worked the night before and gave Brianna a call just to get an eta as I was originally told between 12-2 (we called them when the water started backing up the night before). When I called I told her I was not trying to rush them as I know they are busy and was just wondering if they had a good eta on their plumbers since it was after 1pm. She then proceeded to not only be snarky back about the question but to tell me """"no we have you on the 12-4 so between now and then"""" Obviously upset about waiting longer as I can not use my toilets in my house and I have raw sewage coming up in my spare bath I proceeded to wait. I was then told that their plumbers were stuck at a retirement community and had to cancel until tomorrow morning..... I GET IT SHIZZ HAPPENS QUITE LITERALLY. But when you have a staff that lacks empathy and cannot put their selves in their costumers shoes and understand where frustration and miscommunication is coming from.....thats an issue. I would guarantee they have lost multiple multiple costumers just from the sole fact their office staff is rude and never knows what's going on in the field. To the owner if you read back even 3 years ago you're getting the same complaints... recorded lines would be helpful learning tools on how to be a decent human. Your plumbers should go elsewhere. We've spent thousands with your company and Gene the plumber deserves a raise because he's the only reason we continued business with you. Pink plumber thanks you for the new business. I scheduled service on a Sunday and was told to await a call back for service between 10 AM and 2 PM. When I called around 2 PM to inquire about what happened, the young woman to whom I spoke said she called my phone at 9:46 AM but I did not answer. When I asked what could be done she was incredibly rude and subsequently so was her supervisor Brianna. When I commented that their customer service 'sucked' Brianna abruptly hung up on me. By the way, I had no record on my phone of a call back earlier that day. Luckily, I got another, more professional company, to do the work the next day. I will never attempt to do business with Rooter-Man of Tampa Bay ever again and I will recommend the same to anyone who wishes to hear my opinion. Did I say that their customer service SUCKS?!!!

Never showed up! Our bathroom backed up. We couldn't use the kitchen sink either. We called this company at 1:48pm. They told us they will be here between 4-6pm. My hubby called again at 5:26 to make sure they were coming. They told him they were,he is still at a job and will call when he's on his way over. At about 6:45 he called again and the phone just rang. We never got a phone call. We were sitting ducks (can't use water in the house) and didn't call any other company for help. So now we are going to have start looking for another company tomorrow morning on a Sunday! You know that's going to cost more money. They should have at least called us! Very irresponsible... THANKS ROOTERMAN! ...not!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I had a leak in my house and this company was recommended to me they were TERRIBLE the guy came by did NOTHING and told me my ENTIRE house needs to be replumbed about 7000-8000 (look at the estimates I was given in the attached photo). I then hired somebody else for a second opinion, because I was about to replumb the whole house, he found the leak immediately it was outside behind a bush, and only charged me the standard fee and actually felt bad, to tighten the screw of the leaking outside pipe. DO NOT use these people under any circumstance. Sonar bonar is who I used and they were amazing. They were also late with a call 20 minutes after the window of 9-11 to let me know they were going to be another 30 minutes .... annoying all around!!! If I could give zero stars that's what they would get!

I called to have a quote on adding a laundry room inside my house had a scheduled appointment between 10-2 today. I called at 4pm as no one showed up. They proceed to tell me that a voice mail was left at my phone number at 1:02pm. Funny since my phone has been by my side all day and still don't have a voice mail from anyone.

Its sad that I have to start this review with """"wish I could leave them a review, but they never showed."""" Unfortunately that's exactly what happened. Had an emergency and called to schedule a technician to respond when available. The young lady, or lack there of, answering the phones advised she would have a technician over after 6:30 PM and that I would receive a call when they were 30 minuets out. Around 8 PM I called for an updated status. The girl on the phone condescendingly tells me """"no I said AFTER 6:30 we'd TRY to get there."""" No you didn't, but that's ok I informed her that I would continue to wait. I had to call out of work to wait on them to show. They never showed, never called. Not even the next day to see if there services were still needed. What's bad is I originally reached out to them for overly positive reviews, but the more recent negative reviews seem to share the same sentiment (No call no shows, rude phone girl, unprofessional behavior etc.) Thanks for nothing Rooter-Man.

Please Do not use this Company. They are expensive and poor Service, their Customer Service is very Poor. They do not respect to you as a Customer. My situation I had my Water Heather replaced one year and one week ago, then it wend bad, which I called and they told me to pay $285.00 or we are leaving to go our next Customer. I called the office and while I was on the phone with the Office they told the Tech to leave, which the Tech left. I went Home Depot and bough new Tank for $300 and replaced my own. I will not recommend anybody to use this Company, they don't respect their Customers. Please shop around before you call this Company, please also make sure that they explain to you your Warranty if you decide to use.

Called Rooter-Man today for an estimate on a new hot water heater. The estimate was $780. I mentioned that there were several reviews on Yelp where the water heater was installed for $525. The lady providing the estimate said that the EPA now makes Rooter-Man pay $200 for every water heater they install. She told me that they have to pay the EPA this much for each water heater that is installed. If you are going to be dishonest then come up with a better story.
