The company Rooter Man is a completely fraudulent entity. They have one technician working for the them named Reginald Jennngs and he is a well trained con artist. He comes to your home and diagnoses what he says is the problem regarding a clogged drain. After he is unable to open the drain, he comes up with another issue that may be causing the original problem. He doesn't know what he is doing but does an excellent job of convincing you that he while the original solution didn't work the other solution will. After I signed off and approved of the second solution and it doesn't work , he then recommends a 3rd solution for of course more money. He originally snake my drain which did not get it opened. I paid him $330 for which I never received an invoice. He then explained that the clogged was between my toilet and the drain in the basement. He said that he would have to remove the toilet and snake it directly through that hole. He never removed the toilet but went to the basement and ran a cable through the clean out down there. He claimed that he got it open but after paying him another $460 the drain is still not open. I have not received an invoice for this service as well and the drain is still not open. Now he claims that he needs another $500 to camera the sewer drain to see where the problem is. So at this point I called the office number that I had gotten off the internet to see if someone at his office could explain to me what was going on with my situation and why I hadn't received an invoice for the work he had performed. I spoke with up to 10 different people who all told me that they would have a manager call me and also that they would contact the billing department to have them email an invoice for the work done. I have yet to receive a phone call or an invoice. Reginald Jennings is not who he says he is. He is a con artist taking advantage of customers such as myself who know very little about plumbing. His company Rooter Man is in business as well to defraud its customers. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are crooks and they all should be in jail.

I called Arnold and i got Columbia Illinois. I was looking for emergency service. I will say they did unclog the drain. I had roots in my drain. Have had to clear the line about a year ago. So i knew the problem. They told me they could use the regular cutting head or use the super duper head for $650. I just had it done one year ago. It was not a major blockage. Long story short they said there was another clog and they had to cable that. Another $175. Even though the tenant did not see them cable anything inside the apartment. There are many other trust worthy and cheaper / qualified people out there. I will never be using this company again. i had this completed by another contractor in July of last year for $175.00

Total and Complete Scam. Website baits you by presenting an image of a licensed plumbing company, but really it's a kid who cleans drains. Highly doubtful that he is licensed or bonded in any actual way, and clearly doesn't know much actual
plumbing- came up with an excuse to not examine our water line, likely because he didn't know and was not equipped to handle anything like that. We didn't realize at the time this company doesn't have actual
plumbers, just drain cleaners, again everything about their website is misleading.

He comes out to your house in a hoodie armed only with a flashlight and screw driver and does absolutely nothing. He didn't want to leave without being paid for something so he claimed he could fix our water heater with his ' special program'.

He told me to go upstairs and turn the faucet on so I did and when I came back down a few seconds he claimed his ' special program' was implemented and all was fixed. All this kid did was turn the knobs of our water heaters up. And then he demanded $350 for turning our water heaters up. Later We hired an actual plumber who told us the knobs didn't fix anything because the issue was backflow. SoemthI guess the scammer
absolutely would not know how to fix.

I called this place thinking it was roto-rooter and the guy that answered said they were. I asked if they charged for estimates and they said no and that they had to let their guy look at it and couldn't give me any ballpark figure over the phone. They said they'd be out the next day between 7-9. He didn't show up till around 10:47, and for some strange reason he decided he needed to drive through the alley before pulling up out front a couple houses down. My tenant was there to let him in. He showed up to the house in an unmarked white van wearing normal clothes and a white adidas hoodie and had no tools on him whatsoever. He was there to provide an estimate on putting a new shutoff valve on the main water line. He had no clue what he was there for and had to ask my tenant. She called me and handed the phone to him and I asked what the cost would be to replace the valve and he told me he didn't have to replace it, but that he took it apart, cleaned and greased it. I have cameras on this building-- he was literally there for barely 20 or 25 minutes and never shut the water off at the street. It's also physically impossible to take apart, grease or clean an old shut off valve. He kept talking and said something about the water heaters and I stopped him and told him that he was asked to give an estimate and I never said anything about the water heaters and I certainly didn't approve of him starting on any repairs of any kind. He said I owed him $366 for his work and rather than put my tenant in any sort of danger, she paid him. I went over there and there was obviously nothing done to the valve in question and apparently he turned the heat on both units' water heaters to max which almost made my tenant burn herself the next morning. I tried to call the place back to talk to them and I tried 7 times and every time the call would not go through. They blocked my cell number, so I tried it from my work phone and the call went right through. I talked to the guy on the phone and asked for a detailed list of what work he did because he didn't leave anything for me-- no receipt, no work summary. The guy said he couldn't provide it and had to get with his guy to get that. He said he'd call tomorrow morning. The call comes and he then tells me that he loosened and tightened some screws on the valve (there's literally one screw--the one that keeps the handle on the valve), which I immediately asked how he told me one thing yesterday and now another today, then he tells me he worked on the water heaters and tries to tell me my water heaters are ""out of date"". At that point I told him I consulted a master plumber about what he claimed he did and he kept trying to say he made a valid repair. He claimed that because my tenant was paying for the repair that that gave him full grounds to touch anything on my property-- I informed him that's not correct because she's not the owner and I didn't clear anything to be done other than an estimate to get a valve replaced/put in. I told him if he didn't refund the charge that we're going to have a problem and that I reported him to the BBB. He said okay and hung up on me. My tenant called him and she asked what he did and what tools he used-- he couldn't even tell her and she told him if he can't even tell her then how would he explain this to the attorney general's office-- it was only then he said he'd knock $200 off but keep the other $166 as a ""service call fee"" which isn't even advertised on his webpage. All of this over a call to get an estimate. The attorney general has been engaged and this is a warning to anyone looking for a reliable plumber-- this place isn't it. It's literally a 20 year old kid that drives between IL and MO claiming he has over 50 years of experience and is a franchise. He has another review on the bbb's website where he got caught charging for doing absolutely no work. He also walked around in the basement poking in rooms where there wasn't even any plumbing. All around the worst possible experience I've ever had with any service call.

Rooter Man was great. I own a candy business and even though I wipe down my chocolate and caramel bowls thoroughly my drain starting to have build up. Then it started to back up. A Rooter Man Technician showed up and explained the issue and now its fixed. Thanks for the timely response. The service was friendly and personalized start to finish.

DO NOT USE this company they are a scam. I was quoted $89 an hour to unclog my drain. I was told if it is longer than an hour it would be an extra $70. they called me at 2:43 pm saying they arrived, they handed me an invoice at 3:43 pm and stated I owe them $159. I was told that since they had to wait 5 minutes for us to answer the door they charge me for the next hour. I refused to pay the extra, I gave them $100 and told them I would call the cops if they did not leave. Very shady, unprofessional scammers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I WOULD PAY SOMEONE DOUBLE TO COME OUT THEN DO BUSINESS WITH UNPROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS.
