In 1970, Donald MacDonald established Rooter-Man in North Billerica, MA. Thanks to our dedication and passion for resolving plumbing challenges, Rooter-Man became a prominent name in the plumbing and drain cleaning industry in the Northeast. In 1981, Rooter-Man started franchising, choosing only the top professionals in plumbing and drain cleaning to join our brand. Rooter-Man has grown to a network of more than 480 locations in the U.S. and Canada due to our success. We have been honored as the #1 Franchise Opportunity in Plumbing, Sewer, and Drain Cleaning by Entrepreneur Magazine for the past ten years. Each Rooter-Man location operates independently and is locally owned.

My wife and I took the opportunity to purchase a Rooter-Man franchise in 2003. With our final savings and three little girls, we took the plunge. Brenda had her doubts, but my experience in sewer and drain cleaning gave me confidence. We expanded gradually, growing our territory and team, creating a family we cherish. Our journey with our daughters and learning from challenges has helped us grow. We have tapped into the knowledge of other franchise owners; it’s been gratifying to be part of this network.
