In 1970, Donald MacDonald established Rooter-Man in North Billerica, Massachusetts. Through dedication, integrity, and a commitment to addressing plumbing and drain cleaning challenges, Rooter-Man evolved into one of the largest plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning firms in the Northeastern United States. Rooter-Man began franchising in 1981, selecting only the finest talent in plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning to operate under the Rooter-Man name and service guidelines. Thanks to significant growth and success, Rooter-Man has expanded to more than 480 locations across the U.S. and Canada. For the past decade, Entrepreneur Magazine has recognized Rooter-Man as the top franchise opportunity in the Plumbing, Sewer, and Drain Cleaning category (2003-2012). Every Rooter-Man location is independently owned and operated within the community. In 2003, my wife and I seized the chance to acquire an existing Rooter-Man franchise. With our last savings and three young daughters, we made the leap. While Brenda was apprehensive, I felt confident due to my years of experience in sewer and drain cleaning. We expanded gradually, growing our territory and team, creating a family we cherish. With our hard work, our daughters, and lessons learned, we keep progressing. Over the years, we have benefited from the insights and experiences of fellow franchise owners; it has been fulfilling to be part of such a supportive community. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the public and expand our business as we raise our children.
